And already, shit was happening. The Shadows attacked, Mia gave out her orders and everyone else commenced their respective beatings on the Shadows. A boxer, an insect-headed woman, and...a bear? An armored bear, to be exact. Not having time to remember whether he had fought an Ursa or not, Aleph quickly put on his mask and summoned Adonis. The glorious, muscled being smiled cockily at its enemies before releasing a Maragi onto them. |

"Just a second, Suzu!" Literally just a second, long enough for Mia to ditch the Dia and cast Rakukaja on the girl she kind of expected to run right into fray. And just long enough to safeguard them against a friendly fire incident. All three Shadows were harmed by the Maragi. In order of effectiveness: The Goer took the hit the worse, and that left it as an easy target for Suzu's two-pronged strike. The Pugilist staggered, but resumed it's defensive stance, just in time for Karma's Agi to leave it staggered back again, the Ursa endured it the best, but it too was stunned by Toki's Garu spell. "Suzu, pull back to avoid friendly fire, then we repeat, another Maragi, another Agi, Garu and attack!" |

Karma grinned and nodded before he fired another Agi towards his target, after making sure that none of his teammates were on his way. Angra Mainyu hurled a ball of flame towards the Pugilist. Kakeru observed the team. So far, they were doing pretty good. As he watched, he cautiously looked at his surroundings in case something wanted to ambush him from behind. It would be embarrassing if he got jumped on while watching the group. Edited by Prince Arjuna, Jan 26 2014, 06:52 AM.

[OOC: For editing's sake, NS, Suzu did take a few moments to charge up her weapon prior to dashing. Unless Aleph was really slow in casting, which I doubt, there was no chance of friendly fire.] --- On order, Suzu dashed back to the group, wielding her weapon defensively so to be ready to bash away any sort of counter attack coming at them. "Thanks." She spoke once getting back to Mia, due to the previous Rakukaja. The electrical spell seemingly was still in place. "Got it!" Toki decided to stand up once again, so to dodge if needed. Though, at that point blank range, might as well take advantage and stay there - less momentum to possibly work with. The boy cast another Garu as ordered, which would hopefully knock the Ursa over. After the spells were cast, Suzu repeated what she had done before, aiming at the same area for extra damage. That hadn't been much of a fight at all... |

Aleph nodded upon order. He watched as Suzu waited for a moment and then attack, and Toki fire a Garu spell at the Ursa. The Goer took the most damage, and that was a good thing for Aleph. Even if it was only first-tier, the area-sweeping spell Aleph had really turned out to be useful for figuring out a weakness. So, Aleph focused on the Shadows, summoned his Persona, and fired Maragi again. |

"Okay! Good!" If things went completely as planned, the Imbibing Goer would be reduced to a puddle of black sludge. The other two Shadows were capable of putting up more of a fight, even after the barrage. The Armored Ursa drunkenly stumbled around after being buffeted with the Garu, but it tried slashing at Toki twice. The Pugilist, despite all the fire damage it took, still had enough life in it to rush towards Aleph and attempt to attack him with a Sonic Punch, in the form of a wild Haymaker. Still, neither Shadow looked like it was going to last much longer. The fact that the Shadows could still fight back was enough to leave Mia suddenly gasping. The plan and cohesion held together great as long as they had the clear upper hand, she was sure it'd last even when they struck back, but there was always the chance something could break down then. ((OOC: I kind of goofed here, I changed the erroneous attack to a Sonic Punch, sorry)) Edited by Nonsequitur, Jan 28 2014, 05:41 PM.

"Hey dude, watch out!" Karma shouted to Aleph when the Pugilist launched a Brain Shake towards him, and as soon as it attacked Aleph, Karma fired an Agi towards it. While he never liked Aleph as a person, as a teammate, Karma would rather not see someone in his team getting pounded. Meanwhile, Kakeru continued to watch the group. It seemed that the group was still able to handle this by themselves. There's no need for him to interfere, because he might end up hogging all the kills if he jumped into the fight. |

Suzu wiped some sweat off her forehead as the target she was assigned melted into black goo, much to her pleasure. However, that didn't mean the girl could relax at all. Looking back to the battlefield, she analyzed the situation quickly. Karma was helping Aleph, and Toki was on his own? Not anymore. "Yo dude, duck!" The redhead shouted towards Toki while summoning her mask, covering her face and launching a highly pressurized Aqua towards the back of the Ursa, with the purpose of making it gain forward momentum. Toki had been hit by one of the strikes, claw marks tearing at his gi, leaving red markings underneath and a bit of bleeding. Though, hearing the verbal cue, he ignored the stinging pain, and ducked. Ducking is actually a bit of an understatement. He lied down in front of the Ursa's feet just as the spell was about to hit, so it would trip over him and fall at last. It was certainly an advantage they could use... |

Unfortunately, as much as Aleph tried to block and dodge the hit, he couldn't and it ended up connecting anyway. So, not only did Aleph get punched in the face by a wannabe boxer Shadow, when he felt his face, his eye was now in pain and beginning to swell. Damn it all. That was the second black eye Aleph gained since Momoko. Aleph saw Toki bleeding and took a chance. He summoned his Persona and casted Media on the group, healing everyone. The final Agi spell was enough to finish off the Pugilist, soon there wasn't even a puddle of black bubbling liquid to mark that it fell. Meanwhile, the Ursa stumbled forward as it was buffeted by the Aqua spell. It stumbled over Toki, and with a grunt the armored bear-like shadow was on its back, and vulnerable for a big finishing attack… They still had the upper hand and Aleph healed everyone even before she had a chance to. Good, good… everyone was doing great. "Alright! Take it down, then!" |
