When Karma heard Mia saying that she was lucky to have someone like him by her side, he momentarily lost his cavalier attitude and bashfully looked away, seemingly embarrassed. He thought that he need to keep his guard up more while he was around this girl. Meanwhile, Kakeru followed the group from behind as he started his observation. It was important for him to watch them from the sideline to see their capabilities and specialties. Especially Mia, due to her being a Wild Card. Due to their capability to summon multiple Personae, it could be said that she had quite an infinite potential. |

As soon as they all entered the dreadful place, Suzu seemed to calm down just a bit as her head got into the game. A distraction could mean death and she was highly aware of that; plus, she did play a vital role after all. "Ya spot anythin' yet?" Toki kept walking at a regular pace, wary of anything that might jump them rather suddenly before Suzu even got the chance to warn them about. "Got somethin'." The redhead nodded to the middle of the group. "If ya keep goin' straight ahead, there's a fuck ton of wimpy shadow shit. Weak t'ice 'n resist electricity... Motherfuckers." Suzu grunted the last not so kind word under her breath. Why did they have to resist something she had? "'N if ya turn right a ways in, ya get the three fuckin' stooges. Big guys. One's weak t'fire, another's weak t'wind, both resist physical. Of course they do..." The girl rolled her eyes. "Final dude in that group absorbs ice." Toki glanced back just briefly, just to locate Mia before glancing back forth. "Where to, boss?" |

Wait, Suzu was a scanner? Well, shit, Aleph thought. Guess he should better rethink about trying to burn her face off with fire. Anyways, Aleph listened as Suzu told everyone of the Shadows' weaknesses. One of them was weak to fire, good thing. A few resisted physical. Boo. Aleph smiled. "I think we can take them on if we can keep a distance from them." He said, then turned to Mia. "What do you think, Sensei?" |

"I don't think that Sensei's the right word for that, Aleph. You can just call me Mia…" The pressure was on, and it was all up to her to make the right choice. Of the two presented to her, there was an expected 'easy' win, and a possibly more challenging- and potentially more rewarding one. Also to factor was that the weaknesses. That was a lot of Shadows, those Seers. If they had a trick up their sleeves that could have still been very bad. The other group they could at least exploit the weaknesses of. But in the end, she chose not based off solely tactical information, but in the spirit of the exercise. This was training for them to go off and fight the strongest things they could find. It would defeat the point if they didn't test it out by doing just that. "Kimio-san? Get ready, we're going after the stronger Shadows." She still held the knife on her belt, ready to draw, and with her free hand pointed to where Suzu directed those Shadows were. Edited by Nonsequitur, Jan 20 2014, 09:06 PM.

Karma followed the rest, readying his weapon when the group scanner told them that she detected the enemies. He had been itching to fight the Shadows. And it was even better that there were Shadows that were weak against his element, fire. "C'mon, I'm itchin' to beat 'em up to oblivion!" Karma said, looking at Mia. He seemed to be really eager to enter a battle against the Shadows. Meanwhile, Kakeru was following the group a few meters away at their back. He had been assessing the situation, seeing what the group was about to do while keeping his vigilance. In case anything that the group couldn't handle showed up, it's up to him to keep them safe. It was his responsibility because he was the one who came up with this idea. |

"Alright!" Toki was getting pumped. He was gonna kick some Shadow ass! He glanced back at the female redhead of the group, who nodded and proceeded to give directions to the threats nearby. Toki kept a slow and careful pace, so to make available the option of a surprise attack. Soon, the enemies were in view. Both were waiting for orders, so not to throw everything off what Mia could possibly have planned. |

So they were finally going to fight Shadows! Just how this group expedition would work it out, Aleph couldn't tell. He still felt like it would end badly, though it was probably because he felt like having Suzu or Karma around would jinx the whole thing. But past was past, and Aleph was ready for the worst. He stood in his position beside Toki, preparing for the first attack. |

What did Shadows do when they felt no one was watching? Well, it wasn't exactly wandering aimlessly in a patrol, waiting for some Persona User to fight. The Pugilist, clad in it's gaudy trunks and green gloves, seemed to be shadowboxing against a wall. The Ursa, the armored bear was rooting around a pile of rubble in search of something. The Goer, the woman in the black dress with the head of the bloodsucking insect and a small tumbler of black sludge seemed content to simply watch the other two from the comfort of a looted office chair. "Suzu, which one is which exactly? The bear's the Ursa, the boxer the pugilist and the woman's the goer?" She whispered the question. As soon as she got a response, and if it was affirmative, she had a plan of attack. She'd quickly bark out orders. "Aleph! Hit them all with a fire spell! Karma! Attack the Pugilist with the same! Toki, focus on the Ursa, and Suzu, please go after the Goer!" The Ursa reaced first, rearing up and snarling as it barred towards Toki with full intention to attack with a Cleave. The Pugilist snapped around, cast Rakukaja upon itself and held up its fists to block, the Goer regarded them all before it sent the freezing mist of a Bufu spell towards Karma. Mia, meanwhile, was ready to cast Dia on the first of her two companions that was successfully attacked. |

"Whoa!" Karma barely avoided the Bufu, but even when it didn't hit him directly, he could feel the coldness seeping into his skin, indicating that the ice was one of his elemental weaknesses. "It's cold!" he exclaimed. Well, better take a mental note to that, considering that his Persona never told him about his weaknesses. In response, Karma nodded and grinned when he was ordered to attack the Pugilist with an Agi. He put on his mask and summoned Angra Mainyu. The tattooed figure of a man wrapped in crimson bandages emerged from his psyche, looking at the target with a sneer before firing a fireball towards the Pugilist. Meanwhile, Kakeru stayed a distance away from the group, observing the battle. His hand was on the hilt of his sword and he was prepared to draw his sword out in case anything unexpected showed up. |

Suzu gave an affirmative response to Mia via a thumbs up, not wanting to make noise to disturb the Shadows at all. In the meantime, her grip on the mighty club of death tightened as she expected orders. Toki straightened himself up for a split second once given his own order - apparently, he had to attack the bear. If he recalled correctly, it was weak to Wind; and so, the man summoned his mask to his face, summoning his Persona. Glasyabo, the President of Hell, appeared in all of its glory behind him and launched a Garu spell towards the massive bear. It seemed that, however, the beast was already charging towards him. In pure reflex from so many years of fighting, he jumped to the left side and out of the way of the incoming barrage. Hopefully the Ursa would not turn towards him, and the Garu would smack it in its path. In the meantime, he made Glasyabo disappear so it wouldn't get hit either. As far as the Goer went, Suzu smiled rather cockily - it didn't resist anything she had. Why not hit it with two things at the same time? Wielding her club with confidence, the redhead charged a Zio through the metal, and raced towards the Shadow with surprising speed, attained from trial after trial suffered during Track meetings. Hopefully, one of the spikes would smack right through its mask; at least, her aim was already impeccable. "EAT THIS!" |
