It's been one hour since both Isoroku and Kinzaki returned back to the estate. Soon after they returned, she was brought to immediate check-up. It seemed to be necessary due to the change of her hair color. Kinzaki's personal doctor was doing the check-up in Kinzaki's bedroom, and the doctor instructed both Isoroku and Kyo to wait outside while she was doing her job. And while waiting outside the room, Isoroku seemed nervous. From what she had heard, Kinzaki was drugged by Seto Kougami with a special drug that could turn the heiress into an obedient battle dog. After the effect of the drug wore off, Kinzaki's blonde hair slowly turned white. It was speculated by the doctor (before she started the check-up) that it was due to the stress caused by the drug and some recent events that occurred to her. "..." leaning against the wall near the door of Kinzaki's bedroom, Isoroku continued to wait. She was clearly worried about Kinzaki's well-being after everything that happened to her. She could only hope that she would be alright. |

Kyo was obviously worried, too--it was far more obvious in her case, because Kyo had a number of habitual nervous tics and all of them were operating in full force. She kept chattering about things. She kept randomly taking her hands in and out of her pockets and she kept sweeping her bangs out of her discolored left eye. Every so often she would start to pace back and forth and then returning to leaning against the wall... The constant knowledge that she had to be careful what she might say while in the Kirihara Estate only intensified this. Right now, she was just getting back into a jabbering phase: "It might not be the drug, y'know, it could be somethin' t'do with her Persona," Kyo suggested out of the blue, stopping mid-step while pacing about in front of Isoroku. Taking one hand out of her pocket, she brushed her hair out of her left eye, but this time not unconsciously. This time she held it there, keeping her yellow eye in full view. "I mean, it happened t'me so maybe it's happenin' t' her, too. Might even be she can get her hair color back if she resolves somethin'. I mean..." And Kyo trailed off, evidently unsure if what she might say after that point was safe to say with the audio bugs around. After a few seconds, she let out a frustrated sigh. She had to say something that made it sound like she wasn't stopping because she knew she might be overheard, so she grunted and said, "Fuck, I don't even know what I mean. I'm just spitballin', I guess..." And, returning her hands to her pockets, she slumped against the wall, despondent. "I'm just glad we got her back okay..." |

Isoroku knew how worried Kyo was about Kinzaki's condition. But in this case, there's nothing she could do. She's also not the one to speculate wildly about Kinzaki's sudden change in hair color. "Yeah, I'm glad that we got her back too..." she said, nodding. She couldn't imagine what kind of thing she might experience while she was under Seto's control. After a while, the door was opened. It was Kinzaki's personal doctor. As expected, the doctor was a woman, because of Kinzaki's androphobia. "Mayoi-san, Charinko-san, you two may enter..." she said, allowing both girls to enter the bedroom. "And please do not worry. Aside of hair turning white, everything is normal..." Then, after a pause, the doctor added. "But to tell you the truth, it is quite baffling. Not only her hair, but her eyebrows and eyelashes also turn white..." she removed her glasses. "There is no trace of her old hair color anymore..." "Umm... doctor, i-is it bad?" Isoroku asked as she followed the doctor into the room. "To her health, I mean." She was referring to Kinzaki's white hair. "To be honest, I am not sure. I will continue the check-up some other time," the doctor replied. "But now, she wants to talk with you two. Just... don't force her too much, okay? She's still pretty exhausted..." she told the girls. On the bed was Kinzaki, now in plain white kimono. Her hair, including her eyebrows and eyelashes, had turned white. She looked at both Isoroku and Kyo with tired eyes before she gave them a slight smile. "Kyo-san... Isoroku-san..." Kinzaki spoke with slightly strained voice. "...I-I'm sorry for troubling you two..." she said, apologizing to the two girls. |

Kyo brightened immediately when the doctor came out and allowed them in. A quick nod and "Thanks!" was all she gave the doctor--the moment she was allowed access to the room she rushed in. She came to a stop with her back to the doctor, smiling with relief at the sight of a healthy (if changed) Kinzaki. But there was something else... The green-haired girl wasn't sure exactly how well Kinzaki's memory might be in the wake of recovering from being chemically hypnotized, and if there was one thing Kyo was good at, it was anticipating and improvising. The thought had occurred to her five minutes ago in the hallway--and at some point during that time she'd typed up a text message on the screen of her phone. She clutched her phone to her chest with both hands, screen pointed forward--from the doctor's position behind it her, it would look like Kyo just had her hands over her heart as a gesture of relief. In reality, she was showing Kinzaki this message on her phone: remember: reina has audio bugs everywhere don't say anything you don't want her to know "Kinzaki, don't even sweat it," Kyo said sincerely, shaking her head and keeping the phone out long enough to be sure Kinzaki could read the screen. "You're okay and you're safe now. That's all that matters... now we just needta make sure this don't happen again, yeah?" |

Kinzaki read the message written by Kyo before she nodded. She somehow figured it out that her aunt might have installed the bugs around her room. So, she might need to watch her words while conversing with Kyo and Isoroku. "Thank you..." Kinzaki smiled gently. "I really appreciate it..." Isoroku looked at the heiress, particularly at her white hair. Kinzaki noticed it and looked at the part-time model. "Do I look strange, Isoroku-san?" Kinzaki asked. "N-no, I d-didn't mean that! I-- umm..." Isoroku looked down in embarrassment. Seeing Kinzaki with white hair seemed to be a rather new experience. "That's okay. I just... feel strange," Kinzaki admitted as she touched her white hair. Somehow, with this white hair, she seemed frailer and much waif-like. "Everything around me feels so big..." she looked at her palms. "I feel... weaker..." "Kinzaki..." Isoroku looked at Kinzaki before she went closer to her and touched her hand. A gesture of comfort. |

Kyo covertly slipped her phone back into her pocket, satisfied that her message had been received. When Kinzaki asked Isoroku if she looked strange, Kyo chuckled a bit and sat herself down next to Kinzaki. "Eh, havin' an unusual natural hair color ain't bad," she said reasonably. "Take it from me, y'might even learn t' love it--gives ya an exotic look, y'know? Besides, y'ain't even the only person I know with white hair--Treo-dude and Hanako both have white hair, too. It's pretty cool, y'know? Y'look sorta like Weiss Schnee from--...well, never mind, y'prolly don't follow Rooster Teeth." The green-haired girl scratched the side of her head in discomfort--it was always awkward when she blundered into a pop culture topic one of her friends wouldn't understand. A moment later, she smiled. "And y'know, I'm sure you'll feel stronger once ya've had some time t' rest and get some food inta your system. Couldn'ta been fun, whatever they were doin' with ya, so just take it easy and eat healthy, let the last o' the drugs die outta your system and you'll be good as new. I think. I'm not a doctor so don't quote me on that." |

Kinzaki chuckled when she heard that from Kyo. She was glad that Kyo was there. If not, she might continue to stay depressed. "Yeah, thank you..." she said, thanking the green-haired girl. "And I know Weiss Schnee," she said, telling Kyo that she was aware of the online show. "She's from RWBY, right? Well... I personally like Ruby Rose," she told her. Meanwhile, Isoroku didn't know about the show, and she just gave them a confused look. "So..." Kinzaki said. "Is there anything else you want to talk about, Kyo-san?" she asked the green-haired girl. |

Kyo's eyes widened in surprise. ".........Y'watch web shows?" she asked incredulously, tilting her head sharply to one side and looking disbelieving. "I thought ya'd be the sort who like, always had a new movie t' watch or went out and saw expensive stage shows or--" Abruptly, she broke off and cleared her throat. Straightening up, Kyo went on apologetically: "--y'know what I'm gonna shut up before I put my foot in my mouth, I think. A-Anyway, Kinzaki, not really... besides what we're gonna do about your aunt, I mostly just wanna be sure you're feelin' okay. And when you're up for it, I want the three of us t' get together n' do somethin' t' celebrate ya bein' back with us, maybe. Dunno what, exactly, but yeah." |

Kinzaki giggled again. "Not only web shows, I also read fanfictions and write some of them," then, she blushed slightly. "I-it's just that they're... umm... less than satisfactory..." she admitted, scratching her cheek in embarrassment. Isoroku covered her mouth, trying to not laugh, indicating that she might have read those 'less-than-satisfactory-fanfictions'. "But, it's not like there's anything stopping me from enjoying them, right?" she said. She sighed as she looked at Kyo gently. "People shouldn't judge me based on my appearance alone..." she said, subtly chiding Kyo for her prejudgment earlier while smiling. "For me, while appearance is important, appearance is not enough to make a person 'complete'. And you..." she looked at Kyo, still smiling. "I honestly believe that you are a good person, Kyo-san, despite of impressions that may you show to everyone around you. Don't let other people tell you otherwise..." Isoroku smiled after hearing that from Kinzaki. It was one of the things she liked about this particular heiress. Perhaps her appearance had changed, but she was still the same Kinzaki Kirihara, the one she held very dear as a friend. "Well..." Kinzaki said after hearing from Kyo that they needed to celebrate her return. "You two being here is enough, I guess." She closed her eyes. "My memory is kind of hazy. I can barely recall things that happened to me..." she shook her head. "But I know it was... terrible..." she sighed again. For her, being kidnapped and then turned into a mindless servant wasn't something to be fondly remembered. |

"Oh, I know," Kyo said quickly, putting her hands up in a defensive gesture. "I just meant I didn't think ya'd ever have reason t' look inta that sorta thing, with all this money t' throw away on actual professional stuff. Um. Well..." She coughed into her fist again. "But uh, it's--well..." Kyo rubbed at the back of her neck as she considered Kinzaki's opinion about her. "...Thanks," she said bashfully. "I, well... I'm not so sure, but, thanks. It feels good t' have so many votes o' confidence, anyways." Liar. You can't stand it when people tell you you're a good person, Nevan muttered irritably. Shut up. She doesn't need to know that. "Anyway, don't try too hard t' remember that stuff," Kyo said, waving Kinzaki off. "What we really need's t' get outta the house. Go out and enjoy ourselves, yeah? A walk at the park, a day at the movies, hell, we could try that Ethiopian place that Chika went ta this weekend while I was, um, here." Kyo scratched her cheek, and glanced at Isoroku. "Normally I'd suggest the hot springs, too, but... um? Might be a bit awkward," she muttered. "Just, someplace fun, somethin' relaxin', yeah? Just us three." Pause. "And at some point studyin'. Jeez, what a time t' miss classes, eh? That aunt of yours is a bitch." |
