Aleph looked over Mia and her arm. If it was broken, then they'd probably needed to do something about it. Not that she would be a liability, but fighting with a broken arm didn't sound like the smartest idea. "Do you need me to heal it, Mia-san?" He asked, though really, what good could he do? As experienced as he was, his skills were still in the first-tier, especially his healing magic. It couldn't regrow limbs or reattach them, let alone mend broken bones, probably. |

"Mmm." Jimmy grunted, considering the options. "Would be safer to get you back. We only barely handled those shadows back there, and that was with everyone working at a full clip. A broken arm..? He winced, not liking what he was going to have to say. It had to be said though. "A broken arm's the kind of thing that not only puts you at risk..." Jimmy paused, considering carefully how he said what was coming next, "But puts others at risk too. Nobody here needs to die over this. Especially not..." He pointed to her and Aleph, "Especially not anyone who hasn't had a chance to be an adult yet. I know it's hypocritical, what with Sora and them being kids too, but they're also third-tier. They're pretty unflappable." He sighed, his opinion stated. "I can take you back, Mia, if that's what you want. Aleph can come too, but it's his choice. We could all pool our healing abilities and make a nice little magical band-aid, but the truth is, a broken limb needs real care. But, if you want to keep going, I can't stop you. You can't, however, stop me from coming along." |

Sora didn't want to wait much longer for the others to make their decision, and began walking further into the ruins after a short while. "I'd certainly like to go down a bit further." Kohaku said, beginning to follow after Sora. "Though I do think it'd be best if you stopped early for the day." They hadn't stopped very far from Chouko's death spot and it didn't take Sora long to get there. The room felt colder to Sora than all the others they had passed through. He tossed his axe on the floor and took a seat on the ground, eyes fixed firmly on the hard concrete. |

'The truth is you were in it until the end because there's no other choice. Is there? You'd have had no chance against most of the creatures here with all limbs intact alone, much less in that condition. I will say again coming alone and relying on just who happens to be around is very foolish indeed.' Chastised by her own other self again. But she couldn't deny it had a point. As badly as she needed to make herself less of a target, she also needed others seriously. She smiled to Jimmy, doing her best to show nothing of her minor inner turmoil. "Sure, that sounds fine." So, she had Jimmy to look out for her, frankly that was probably all she needed to safely turn back. She turned to the youngest amongst them. "Well, what about you, Aleph, do you wanna go back with us, or keep going?" |

Aleph thought briefly as Mia spoke. On one hand, he did want to go further with Kohaku and Sora. On the other hand, Mia could really use some serious healing magic on her probably broken arm. "I'm gonna go back with you and Jimmy-kun, Mia-san." Aleph said. "I'm getting kinda tired anyway." |

"Alright then, it's settled." Jimmy smiled. "I know it feels shitty, but you made the right choice." Jimmy stretched briefly, and rolled his neck, a bunch of cracks accompanying the movement. It had been an eventful night, and he was feeling exhausted already. He'd proven himself though, he felt - beating to death what was probably a Shadow well out of his league did wonders to improve his confidence. Tonight was far from a waste, though he would be feeling it in the morning. "Well then, folks. Let's all get back before the sun comes up, eh?" Jimmy began to walk back towards the exit, full of confident thoughts. |
