The mazionga came down like a brick truck. Even though Kohaku felt like he had gotten somewhat 'stronger' as far as his persona came, the lightning spells still really, really, hurt. Physical pain wasn't horrible for him, but the shock through his muscles was an unavoidable discomfort. Sora on the other hand, wasn't as affected. The rakukaja from earlier did its job reasonably well, and the teen got off with several scorch marks on his already blasted arm. The both of them were luckily healed by Aleph's media, healing some of the damage dealt. Sora ignored the pain in his right arm and moved in the strike Jupiter with both hands once again, setting the blade of the axe ablaze. |

The Media helped, it helped quite a bit, actually. Mia added her own contribution in the form of a Dia and it suddenly didn't feel like someone had gone to town with it with a giant sledge hammer. Speaking of sledge hammers Jimmy's last hit was solid, clean and left the already seriously injured Immolating Seer to stunned to do anything else. Likewise, the Sorcerer was showing signs of fatigue, but focused back on Sora, striking with a Gryva spell directed at the young man. |

Aleph noticed how the Sorcerer was starting to look tired and beat, but it was still fighting. The Seer on the other hand looked stunned. That was the perfect opportunity to strike. So, Aleph charged at the Seer again and tried to stab it with all of his strength. |

Jimmy could tell his last swing had put the Seer on the back foot. Now was the time. Teeth clenched, breath seething, mind filled with nothing but visions of steel nails being hammered into wooden cross ties, a steam drill race, a sandy grave in Talcott, West Virginia (were these John's memories, or his? In a state like this it was hard to tell) - he swung his hammer at the downed Shadow, hopefully for the last time. |

Sora's limbs were all pushed down towards the ground with an incredible force as the Gryva spell hit him. He grit his teeth as he weathered the worst of it, his body feeling quite sore as the spell finally lifted. Both he and Kohaku made a move to attack the sorcerer; Kohaku from the back with his knives, and Sora from the front with his axe. |

Finally, progress was made against the resilent and aggressive Shadows, the Sorcerer was no more. The joint attack on the Seer had similar results. Soon there was nothing further barring their path. One more DIa spell, but Mia's arm was going to have to take some serious attention later. She could handle it for now. "No reason to stop now, right?" Despite the pain, she smiled. She was tough, she had to be tough to keep up with them, so as not to slow them down. Besides, she was of course curious as to where Sora was. Wouldn't most of that assembled party say just the same thing? 'Well, at least this endeavor profited you a bit of strength, girl.' Oh, a new ability. A reward for having took chance in coming in the first place. Edited by Nonsequitur, Jan 12 2014, 07:31 PM.

Thank God, it was over. Aleph sighed in relief as the Shadows finally bit the dust. The lack of advantage was a bit irritating for Aleph, honestly. He looked over everyone, seeing if anyone needed help. Then, he summoned his Persona and casted Media on everyone. "Yeah, let's keep going." He said. |

He'd done it. He'd triumphed over a shadow that should've killed him handily. Winning felt good. Felt even better when you knew you weren't supposed to have won. Jimmy set his hammer, head down on the floor, and exhaled, letting out a breath that seemed to have been caught in his chest for the whole fight. He didn't need much preparation. He'd come out relatively unharmed, and knew it. Knew he should've died, like so many others. Cheating death felt good. "Ready when you guys are." Jimmy said, a manic grin on his face. Good thing his mask hid it."Let the good times roll, right?" Mia's arm though... He paled, somewhat. The blood stopped singing in his veins. She had Dia, but... a broken limb? That was a little beyond such a paltry spell. "Mia?" Jimmy said, concerned. The excitement, the battle high faded from his voice. "I can splint that arm. Dia's no good for broken limbs, not on its own..." |

"If your arm's broken you should probably head out." Sora said, glancing over at Mia and Jimmy. "You're already inexperienced. And I mean with a broken arm... experience isn't worth dying over. "I feel like that's a bit strange, coming from you." Kohaku added, giving Sora a curious glance. Sora responded with a look that screamed 'kiss my ass'. He turned and began walking somewhat slowly towards his destination, not wanting to wait too long for the others. |

"Maybe still, but we've reached the point of no going back, haven't we?" She explained it simply:"I'd be safer going back with everyone else in this condition than alone, wouldn't I?" It was kind of a hindrance, and in truth? She was kind of a hindrance, and she was aware of that. The broken arm was a lot more palpable to Mia than what that Shadow's Zio spell and its electric shock would have done to her. Still, in her current state, she was dead weight, broken limbs or no. But they were almost there, and the plan was to leave after that anyways, at least on her end. |
