Oh shit. They were visiting a grave spot or something of that nature, at least that's what Aleph understood. This trip was starting to get depressing rather quickly. Thankfully, more Shadows had shown up. This time it was a floating magician's robe and a many-eyed three-fingered thing that shot an Agilao at Aleph. While he didn't exactly expect it, Aleph was thankful for his resistance to fire. Granted, the fire was somewhat stronger than his own, but it still didn't hurt him nearly as much. With that, Aleph quickly casted Rakukaja on himself again. Then, focused on the robed Shadow. He then summoned his Persona and casted Agi on it. |

The Rakukaja made him feel invincible. He laughed. He skipped from his careful walk to a pell-mell sprint, attempting close the distance before another round of spells could be cast. He didn't have the luxury of being able to sit back and trade bolts of fire or lightning - he had to get close. If he could get close... He could win. "Hey, fucker!" He directed his mad charge to the squat, flaming creature, not knowing what it did or what it was called, and not particularly caring. He swung his hammer in a high, wide arc, the steel head whistling through the air. Jimmy was gonna attempt lay out the fire-caster thing first - hopefully quickly. |

Sora and Kohaku both took off towards the 'jupiter' Shadow. Kohaku threw a firey knife at the monster, while Sora came in for another flaming strike with his axe. He couldn't be casting -dyne spells so willy nilly. The ruins were fickle. He'd need that strength should something worse appear. |

"Careful, now, Jimmy!" She knew the limits of that spell better than anyone, Mia was prepared to cast a Dia as soon as it looked like things would go sour. For the same reason, she was prepared to try and doge more spells. The blow staggered the Seer, with a sickening crack it was left sprawled on it's side. It scrambled up to its hands and responded with an angry hiss and a Maragi spell. Mia was waiting for something like that, she quickly sprinted backwards to try and avoid the spreading flames, and a Dia spell was cast upon Jimmy a split second later. The Jupiter Sorcerer merely flinched at Aleph's Agi or Kohaku's knife, Sora's axe was more effective, and caused it to stumble back. It responded to it's greatest threat by attacking him with a Zionga spell. |

Okay, so the Agi didn't hurt the Sorcerer much. But at least it wasn't resistant to it. The Seer on the other hand, there was a possibility that it was resistant to fire. So, Aleph focused on that. Aleph unsheathed his saber, then charged at the Seer, aiming to slash at it. |

"Hiss all you like shithead!" Jimmy yelled, "You picked the wrong goddamn hallway!" The Seer's Maragi did little to stop Jimmy's momentum - between the Rakukaja and his murderous intent towards his opponent, he barely felt it - the Dia that followed it up turned it into a distant memory. He swung again, this time with a vicious downward blow. |

Sora swore as a more powerful version of the lightning that struck him before came bearing down on him. He tried to back step as best he could, but the lightning struck his axe and carried up through his arm. The shock caused him to drop the weapon for a moment. He scooped it back up with his non dominant hand, waiting for the electricity to discharge from his right arm. He came in for another fiery strike on the Shadow, though the force was diminished without his other arm. Kohaku dodged the maragi from the other Shadow, duly noting that his and Aleph's attacks on jupiter were somewhat ineffectual. He cast a Rakukaja on Sora instead. |

The seer was knocked around again, for a moment, it was left reeling from the two heavy impacts. But then the angry Shadow retaliated with an Agilao spell aimed right at Jimmy. Mia continued to support him, with another Dia spell so he wouldn't get overwhelmed. The Sorcerer was showing visible signs of fatigue and pain. The robes moved to suggest it was raising unseen hands, and it blasted a Mazionga. Mia was canny for the first hint of a shock and this time dived for cover. It saved her, but it also probably broke her arm. if the sharp, shooting pain from her dominant arm just above the elbow was any indication… |

Aleph soon started to feel more pain as the Mazionga hit him. It was more painful than a first-tier Mazio, so Aleph nearly felt stunned. But he regained himself, and cast Media on the group again. He also charged for the Sorcerer and aimed a slash at it. |

The Agilao was a searing inferno, Jimmy's first taste of a second tier spell aimed directly at him. It burned, a white-hot pain that scorched everything it touched. He could feel the skin blacken and crisp, felt the pain that eventually turned to nothing as the nerves were burned off... Then, a double tap of Dia and Media. Jimmy knew without those spells siphoning energy into life, he'd have died by now. He knew all those things, but, he kept running. John Henry sang a song of steel and hate in his mind that he couldn't drown out, couldn't stop listening to. Clanging steel and resentful voices drowned out everything until the only thing that existed in Jimmy's world was him, his hammer, and the Shadow. He closed the distance again, his voice nothing but a string of incoherent yelling. He swung his steel with a naked ferocity at the seer, wanting nothing but to smash it, to kill it, to end its life. For a split second, that shadow represented everything wrong with Jimmy's life and Nagashima as a whole. He couldn't kill life's issues. But he could kill this shadow. |
