Ryoichi leaned away a bit as Aleph continued. This guy really... really liked fish. It was creeping him out a bit. He stood up once Daichi brought a chair over and took a seat in it. "Um... I mean, I eat it about as, um, often as my parents cook it?" Ryoichi said. "But it's not my favorite thing in the world, no..." |

Well, fish was the subject of the day, and it was topical to talk about it. But perhaps Aleph was being a bit too forward? Maybe she could have eased it into a direction a bit less awkward? "Mmm, no, I don't think it's spawning season yet, Aleph. So the Salmon are all in the sea right now. Not here on the river." An ocean away and a few years ago, she distinctly remembered how her old man got so excited when it was that time, it wasn't quite that time of year. It was usually not long after that, though. "I think we're mostly get trout here?" Her geography and knowledge of local game wasn't what it could be. She was guessing off the top of her head. "Oh! I got one!" Hanako exclaimed as her line jerked. and once again! It wasn't a fluke!" "Okay! Don't let it get away from you! real it in!" Time for another demo, as she hovered behind Hanako and did what she could so the neophyte could hopefully reel in her first bite! |

Daichi simply sat, and continued to wait. A small smile coming to his face as Hanako seemed to have already caught something, what luck! Hopefully the others would be as prosperous. He turned his head and gave Ryoichi a small nod before once again giving his attention to where the hook lay in wait in the water. Then, the tall boy started actually whistling of all things. Nothing particularly catchy, spirited or lively. Just a sort of low quiet tone that was more meant for himself than to entertain anyone else. He loved the feeling of just being so...content. Sure, bounding overflowing joy was great in it's own way as well. This though, this was just...on a sort of different level than most. He wasn't even really sure if he needed to catch a fish to be happy. If he even did? He'd probably just toss it right back in. He really should do stuff like this more often. No drama, shadows, personae or anything of the sort. Just...relax. Preferably with the people he cared about. Edited by Exodin, Jan 22 2014, 11:45 PM.

Well, that was a shame. Aleph would've been entirely enthusiastic is they were fishing for salmon. Aleph started to notice that his extremely positive nature was starting to overwhelm Ryoichi. Maybe he was being a little too forward. Aleph felt bad about that. He shrugged. "I'm sorry if I seem to be a bit too...enthusiastic about this." Aleph said, chuckling and blushing in embarrassment. "It's just I always love fish, is all. My family and I always went fishing whenever we vacationed anywhere with a lotta water and stuff like that." Aleph quickly turned his head when he heard that Hanako had caught something. "Fish?" Aleph said, smiling and turning to Hanako. "What is it? What is it? What is it?" |

Oh, Serizawa was a fishing enthusiast? That surprised Ryoichi, especially since the boy had seemed to have trouble with his bait. Maybe he just hadn't gone in a while. He looked up as Hanako exclaimed about her fish, but he didn't stand up. If it really was a fish, then he didn't need to scare it off by crowding around her. Instead, he just sat where he was and called out to her. "You can do it, Ito-san!" |

"Okay! Now what do I do next?!" She asked excitedly as she followed Mia's instructions as best she was able. Her fishing pole flexed inward in time with each struggle upon the fish on the other end. Meanwhile the line danced quickly in the quiet stream. At once, both of those went slack, there was no more resistance on the other end for Hanako. "Ah! Did it get away?" When the line came in, the hook was both without bait and without fish. Mia shrugged her shoulders in an unconcerned, nonchalant way. "Yeah, looks like that's the case. Don't worry about it Senpai, you'll catch one in no time." There was nothing more to do but watch as Hanako put another bait out and cast her line. Though, she did give Ryoichi a bit of special attention. "Hey, your full name's Ryoichi Shimizu, right? Did you happen to lose a wallet in the second level of the ruins?" Actually? She was going to post something about how she lost it on Bedlam and then she saw the fishing topic and it kind of slipped her mind until right then. Though if he happened to be the right guy anyways, it would have all worked out in the end anyhow. |

Hanako had lost the fish? That was too bad. There was always next time! Daichi got the urge to yet again, rub his chest area. Instead, the grip on the fishing pole tightened. He was fine. Just fine, no stupid trauma here. Nope, none at all. He was just going to remain quiet. Nobody was speaking to him, so why bother speaking? Just had to enjoy the peace and tranquility while it lasted. Which he definitely planned on doing. There was no sudden tugging on his end. Would he even catch a fish? Not that he cared much. It wasn't a competition by any means. Yep, just going to sit here and relax... |

Aww, Hanako lost her fish. Aleph frowned as he looked at Hanako's hook, which was now absent of both fish and bait. One of the unfortunate things to ever happen while on a fishing trip. Oh well. Maybe she would have more luck catching another one. Aleph shrugged before walking over back to where his pole was lying, next to Ryoichi. Aleph picked up the pole, then sat down and looked at Ryoichi, thinking of something else to talk about. "Shimizu, wasn't it?" He asked. "So, you'd happen to know a girl named Yuzuki, by any chance?" |
