"Oh? Alright then."

He went about setting the chairs against the car in a row. Grabbing his pole and walking back over to where the others were. Oh, so Mia was showing how to...put the worm on the hook then? Right, this was important to watch.

"I'll try it. Better to go first than last right?"

Aleph watched as the other girl and Daichi speared their worms on a hook, preparing their fishing poles for fishing. Aleph then grabbed a worm from the tackle box and stabbed it with the hook, spearing the worm.

He showed the hook to the other girl. "Is this how you do it, miss?" Aleph asked.

I'm the best! I'm the king of me! I'm gonna eat chips out of the garbage!

"You're really knowledgeable, Sato-san," Ryoichi said. He took the hook from her and put it on his rod. Finally, he took a deep breath, swung the pole back, and cast it.

"You know, my old Persona was a fisherman. He was always trying to get me to go out and do this, but I never did..." he said sheepishly. "It was just never something that seemed all that fun to me before now."

"Good, good!" Daichi and Aleph were getting it without trouble. That must mean she did a good job with an example. "You can thank my dad for that. He's the real angler in our family. Seemed every other weekend he was out to a lake or sometimes off to fish off the coast. He taught me everything I know about it. And yeah, I think fishing can be a lot of fun, gives you time to think, y'know? Real leisurely."

She smiled to Aleph. "Please, no need for 'miss' call me Mia, or Sato-san or whatever you're more comfortable with!" It wasn't hard to be friendly and approachable then.

"I think I got it…how's that?" Oh, it was pretty bad for the poor worm, wasn't it? Though it was gonna be even worse soon, Hanako supposed. "I'd also like some help knowing how to cast right? Like this?" She did the motion in practice, than in earnest.

"Mmmm, no, raise your arms a bit and mind the backswing more…yeah, like that Ito-senpai!" With a little advice, she seemed to be improving well

Right, so he'd got the worm on the hook! Now all he had to do was...learn everything else. Well, it couldn't be that hard could it? Hanako seemed to be getting it down rather well, so why couldn't he? Wordlessly, he looked around to check distances. He really wouldn't want someone to get a fishing hook caught in their clothes...or somewhere more painful. He swung once in practice, then once again. Daichi seemed to need to practice these things at least three times before getting them right. At least, that's how his training with Sensei had gone! So why wouldn't it apply to this?

Right, easy does it. Not too much force, not too little. There we go...

What about the chairs though? Oh well, they'd get to that after everyone knew how to actually fish!

So, the hook now had a worm on it. Now all that was left was just cast it and wait for a fish, Aleph walked to where the other boy, and casted his hook, swinging the pole rather hard.

He sighed and looked at the other boy. "So, what's your name, by the way?" Aleph asked. "I'm Akira Serizawa. But you can call me Aleph."

Ryoichi suddenly tensed as Aleph walked over to him, cast his line, and started talking with him. He didn't know this boy at all, but his name was really weird.

He grasped at something under his shirt. "Ryoichi Shimizu..." he said, smiling a bit. "It's nice to meet you, Serizawa-san."

Her careful eyes turned to everyone. It seemed they were all doing well for beginners! This was great. That they were catching on so well gave her no small amount of satisfactions as their teacher.

She set her own fishing pole aside for the moment. "Hey, Nakamura-san, now I think we can work on getting the seats set up for everyone!" A day of peaceful fishing and getting to know knew people, it was going great thus far!

"Hmm, so what do we do if we get a bite?" Ohmigawd she was fishing! She was preparing to trick some fish in order to snatch them out of their native habitat, and then maybe eat them! This was great!

"Maybe it'd be better if I showed you when it happens?"

Alright, time to get the chairs! Wait...the four chairs he'd grabbed. Was there a fifth one in the trunk? There was also the fact that Mia had not referred to him as her elder student. That was just him being stuffy about manners, and besides she was teaching all of them to fish! Free of charge to boot! Oh well, he supposed that that could be worried about after the chairs were set up. So he set his pole against the car once again and wordlessly one at a time, set up a chair. To be moved and adjusted at other's leisure. His original set up was of course, close enough that they could still be considered 'sitting together' and far enough apart that any mishaps were hopefully avoided. He went to grab his pole once more, and sat down in one of the chairs. Casting a line and waiting.

Not very chatty today, are we?

Nope, no need to be. I came to relax and fish.

With that he sat and began to wait. For what exactly, he had no idea.

Aleph saw Daichi set up the chairs and sat down in one of them next to Ryoichi. Wait. Shimizu. Shimizu.

Goddammit. He must be related to that crazy cicada dork girl.

Aleph smiled as Ryoichi introduced himself. "Nice to meet you, Ryoichi-san. So, you like fish?" He asked. "I love fish. Especially salmon. Do you think we'll find any salmon here?"
