"Uhhhhh...."

Hayate Uchida let out a groan. Last thing he'd been doing was...partying? Or was he at some bar? Regardless, he'd passed out on the floor again. Man, whatever girl's place this was smelled funky to say the least. Well, hopefully whatever various adult activities they'd participated in was worth it. Because he sure as hell didn't remember them. He groaned again and rubbed his eyes. Sitting up and looking around. This was....some hallway? Man was it dark in here. Apparently this girl preferred the lights off. Well, that hadn't been the strangest thing he'd experienced.

Alright, pocket check.

Flask...car keys....pocket knife. Yep, that was everything! Oh man...his clothes were dirty. His entire body felt stiff, so he stood and stretched his arms way up. Looking around to see just where exactly the other person or people were.

"Hello?"

Urara 'Laura' Uehara awoke to a sore back and the sensation of her clothes sticking to her body. She did not regularly wake up like this. 'Not regularly' did suggest it happened before but never in this fashion.

Or this locale. Her night vision was usually strong of what she could see. Still present. Pupils had remained dilated. She mused. Hmm, no REM sleep, must have been unconscious relatively short or in irregular conditions.

She lifted her torso, propped by her elbows. Strange place she had never been before. Interesting.

Laura was perhaps a little too unconcerned with waking up with these surroundings.

And why would she be? The place had a dilapidated charm about it. Had she been paranormal investigating again? No, she would have planned that, and didn't have any audio equipment nearby. There was a shape. She reached out and found it was her more durable parasol. Oh, and there was her bag. Sunglasses and incidentals were in there. Well there was a good fortune.

"Hello?" she heard the call. The place smelled slightly septic and if other people were in here it possibly wouldn't be far to the outside.

"Hello," she called back, a perhaps unnecessary chipper tone creeping into her voice as she was getting excited.

Well, at least the girl hadn't left yet. Then again, it wouldn't make much sense for her to leave her own place now would it? He began to walk toward the source of the voice. Ignoring the smell, and looking for who he assumed had been his bed mate.

"Nice place you got here!"

It wasn't really. Not that he was going to actually say it. Especially since well...he was still interested.

That voice. Laura couldn't be sure of the timbre given the echoing of this space but it seemed familiar to her. She strongly associated people with their voices as well as looks.

"No, not my place," she said, keeping a conversational tone to her calls as she inspected a wall. "Though it does have its qualities." No graffiti to speak of. The whole area had considerable neglect, suggesting not too many people came this way. Her other arm probed with her closed parasol, disturbing a lot of metallic debris. She looked up. The ceiling looked ruined, matching the debris.

Keeping her ears tuned to finding the male voice she thought she heard something in the distance. What adjective best fit that? Scuttling? Rattling? Creaking of pipes maybe?

"You know if you liked it in the dark you could have just said something! No need to drag me here babe!"

What, were they playing hide and seek now? It didn't make much sense to him. Unless teasing was a thing for her or something. Which while he was okay with. It wasn't exactly a thing that enticed him.

Well now big boy~ You're quite looking forward to seeing this little minx hmm?

A rather...flamboyant and loud voice reverberated throughout the area. With no obvious source. Shit...had his drink been spiked or something? No matter, as long as the walls didn't start melting he'd be fine.

"Anybody there?"

Benkei called out. He thought he heard voices, human voices. Well, in that place, one could have never been too sure. But it was definitely something he heard, and something worth looking into on his patrol.

He had his usual ruins-patrolling gear. Which meant his clothes, a first aid-kit, a phone, an axe of most gargantuan proportions, and of course his mask…well, it was more of a headdress at that point, wasn't it? Still, he had everything he needed to come face to face with danger or to lead some people from it.

He approached the sounds of the voices cautiously. He wasn't really sure what he was expecting.

Laura and Hayate would have no trouble hearing more than the approaching young men, a distinct 'clop-clop-clop' sound was coming from somewhere…

Laura paused in her wandering. Oh dear. A closed smile turned on her face, which she hid under a few fingers from her hand. Whoever she had been calling to had quite a specific interpretation of what was going on.

Had Nagashima any underground sex dungeons? She wouldn't be surprised, although amazed that they would go into the full 'dungeon' atmosphere that would be a hotbed for the transmission of STDs. Still, if that was the case...

Laura bit her lip. No, nothing felt off or pained, though she was sticky from whatever had been on the ground. With no immediate harm to herself she continued to explore. Another voice appeared to be calling out from further hallways.

And...was that a horse? "I suppose that is not your noble stead my good man."

A good of line as any if that kind of role play was going on.

Okay so....there was another dude. He hadn't really been expecting that.

Oooh~

I accept this.

"Sorry babe! Haven't ever been horse riding!"

Still, what the fuck was with the noise of hooves? Did it just so happen that both he and mystery girl had been slipped something? Or was it that she had slipped him something and then taken the same thing voluntarily?

"What about you other dude?! You got a horse with ya!?"

"I ain't got no goddamn horse…" He muttered to himself. But something that he did notice. That girl's voice, it wasn't just any girl's voice. That was…Uehara, right? She was an odd girl, albino and had a kind of odd way of looking at things. So she was involved in this too, huh?

Well, since he knew at least one of the people involved, it just gave him all the more incentive to succeed. "Uehara-san? Is that you? Stay where you are, I'm going to get out out of here!"

Meanwhile, Laura's wanderings would take her face to face with something out of a storybook. There was plenty off about this unicorn: It stood on the ceiling in clear defiance of gravity and. the black-furred creature had a sinister and even dangerous look to it. It bared its fangs when it noticed Laura, and starting springing towards her, it made a leaping charge in hopes of impaling her on its red horn.

"Shit, shit, shit!" It sounded like everything was coming from that way, Benkei had to hurry who knows what could have found them before he did?

Was this what LSD felt like?

If her future self could remember this to look into the effects of it in more detail. Because as Laura acclimated to the surroundings the clopping paused when she saw the unicorn on the ceiling.

It was at the end of the hall. Laura couldn't help but be captivated at the sight of it though knowing its impossibility. But she couldn't help...there was almost something familiar about it...

"Uehara-san? Is that you? Stay where you are, I'm going to get out out of here!"

Another familiar voice but the significance lost to her ears as she noticed the grace of the beast charging towards her, monstrous fangs and horn...time seemed to slow as she was transfixed...

Impaled...

In which the unicorn had leapt from its plane of perspective to gouge its horn into her shoulder. The precipitous shock of the attack caused her to fall, the pain to the nervous system losing all balance and tension.

Though while she was falling she was still standing where she had been struck...how was that possible? She could even still see herself standing there. Was this an out of body experienced, poised downwards instead of from overhead?

Although come to think of it she hadn't been in gothic lolita dress today. And neither had Laura been glowing, bioluminescence would have been something she'd have remembered. And when her other self turned Laura knew that a giant owl skull did not usually occupy the area of her head.

So when the translucent torches and dog also appeared that wasn't surprising at all by this point.
