After Koga Saburo dispelled, Konami noticed movement from the last Hanging Judge, it was sending a noose out to ensnare Nishiyo. Smirking at it's fault of focusing on a supporter, Konami did a strafing hop, lining up with with it's extended rope. Then with a deliberately showy stomp forward, she drew her sword.

With a click and a whistle, she drew Hoseki from it's scabbard, first in a wide diagonal slash from the left hip, to the right shoulder. And then with a small pirouette, she reversed the order in her second slash, Left shoulder to right hip. Then holding her scabbard horizontal to her waist, she slid her sword back in one fluid motion, ending with a hard Clacking noise as the blade guard struck the lip.

Nishiyo saw the noose coming, and smirked, slipping to the side--the noose was slowed just enough that instead of catching her over the head and around the middle, it only managed to tangle around her left arm. Nishiyo was yanked back, and swore under her breath, trying to pull away. Lolth faded away, leaving the girl to work her hand at the rope on her arm, trying to disentangle it as best she could. It was tight, and rough, and if she hadn't ascended the rope burn might have caused bleeding, but now she barely felt it beyond an awareness of texture and pressure on her skin, slowing her bloodflow...

"Oh, Etsuko told ya about that?" Nishiyo asked in a distracted tone of faint interest. "I was down there for hours, y'know. It ain't pleasant t' have spiders crawling all over, inside and outside your clothes... I think I swallowed one, and then threw it up again--but, it's hard to sort out the actual thing from the nightmares that came after, yeah?"

All of this was conversational, idle chit-chat, or it sounded like conversation, idle chit-chat. Then Nishiyo smiled.

"O' course, I have no idea what mom and dad'd do t' Etsuko if they knew she was alive. That sort o' thing's designed to get 'em while they're young, ya see... at this point... hmmmm..."

Nishiyo managed to slip a thumb under one of the ropes, and gave a sharp tug, loosening the Judge's hold a little.

"At this point, they'd probably just kill her, like they killed my old schoolteacher. Yeah, prolly..."

"I wouldn't care if a spider wouldn't crawl in your mouth right now if that's what it took to get you to shut the hell up."

Etsuko wasn't Seiji's friend. He had no emotional investment towards the girl at all. At least not enough to really care what Nishiyo had to say about her. He observed as the Hanging Judge barely flinched at the slashes Despite the effectiveness of cutting ropes that had bound others. "It's resistant to physical attacks, remember?"

"Why don't you this disappear, already? Etsuko and the rest of us would be better off the sooner you did that." Hanako hit it with an Aqua spell, the Hanging judge tenaciously held onto existing a bit longer as the rope only constricted around Nishiyo at the point of contact, more of it's fibrous mass seemed to surge forward, in an earnest attempt at totally binding up the Yakuza's body. and the noose itself attempted to migrate further up in order to wrap around its intended original target…

But that was put to a sudden end when Seiji cast another Frei, the reaction leaving most of the Shadow's mass that was once trying to Bind Nishiyo into a thick sludge.

"Well, if that will be all? I'm leaving."

"Guess there's no point in saying anything more. I'm right behind you, Fujiwara-san." Unlike Seiji, who turned sharply to leave without affording Nishiyo a second glance, Hanako scrutinized her closely with a frown. There wasn't a thing worth the affections Etsuko wasted on her, in her opinion. A case of looking at things with rose-colored glasses, probably…

Anyways, back towards the main entrance, no sense wasting any more time, was there?

Konami looked between the two retreating users and Nishiyo. Tempting as it may be to leave her alone in the ruins, her analysis ability probably affording her some solace and defense. But Konami did read about the threats to Persona users after she was informed about them after she visited Bedlam.

"I would suggest you accompany us, or at least me, Nichiyo." She said, " The odds of you meeting another shadow that bests your offense are better then naught. And while I personally do not like you, as you are my partner, I do not want a needless death on my first time in here."

Nishiyo frowned a bit as the Shadow vanished. She felt empowered--slightly--but she only felt it because she was paying attention for it, and there wasn't enough of it for her to even wonder if she'd learned a new spell... the black-haired girl sighed, and just flicked her wrist to get some of the sludge off, before turning toward Hanako and putting her hands on her hips.

"Why don't I disappear, y'ask?" she said in a stiff voice. "...Because the only way t' free Etsuko is somethin' I can't expect any o' you high n' righteous good guy types t' try, that's why."

She threw her hands up and sighed.

"Stopping after just one battle's kinda lame, but..." she said. "Sure. Let's just go. I'll come back later. Maybe I'll get some help from someone who don't know enough t' hate my guts."

Nishiyo turned away and started to walk--down a different passage from the one Seiji and Hanako were taking.

"...Y'all disgust me. Act all empathetic and righteous, until your own hate gets in the way, then you're just as much 'monsters' as me," the girl said in a flat voice as she walked away. "I won't force my company on ya any longer... just don't get in my way. Don't get in my way..."

And with that, she walked off, opting for a slightly roundabout path back to the ruins exit. As she did, she kept half an ear out for some response, though she had no intention of turning back to get any further word in. She was just curious: had she hit any kind of nerve with that, or would they just keep not caring?

They'd probably just keep not caring. Fair enough, she supposed. But when she thought about it, what had been done to her--someone should have cared. Someone should have cared. What was the point of all this stupid good-evil humbug if none of the supposedly "good" people had it in them to care--?!

As far as Seiji was concerned, one whole fight was a bit much with Nishiyo.

Seiji stopped short at her comment, a low growl erupted from him And he turned but stopped when he noticed something. Despite leaving in a huff, she wasn't gone yet, she was listening in for a response.

…fine, Let her choke in silence. In the end, his involvement had little to do with 'righteousness' or whatever idiotic bullshit that motivated vigilantes. He was asked to do a job, and he did it, because even one less person like her around made the world a better place for him to live in. Nothing more and nothing less. Her shitty childhood meant nothing to him.

"Hmm? Seiji? She's still around? I guess she wants to hear what we have to say after she told us off? Seems like her…"
She was too self-centered to not want to hear it. It was almost a joke. "Well, I suppose I'll oblige her…" She made it sound like it was an annoying chore. Well it was.

Seiji paused, but Hanako smiled. "No, go on ahead, I've got this. I kind of hope she does try something. It'll be amusing to see how long she lasts if she does." So they parted ways, Seiji not wasting another moment, and Hanako leaning against a wall and calling out.

"Let's keep things simple, okay? It's not 'righteousness' that makes me wanna see you suffer, Nishiyo. I'm not that kind of person, in the end? It's tribalism, plain and simple. You fucked with some of mine and that's all the reason I need to hate you, to come after you. That's all the reason I want. I don't have an ounce of pity for you. Never did!" As she spoke, her tones were high, almost cheerful. She dropped it to grow more serious her voice was somber and the saccharine was replaced with an acrid edge.

"So, here's the thing! You want someone to care about you and what your father did to you, right? Well… I'm afraid to say but you're going to have a hard time finding someone that gives a damn when all you do is plot, murder, blackmail and lie like it's some kind of game. At that point you're just another threat to what I care about, to be gotten rid of. No self-righteousness, just tribalism."

At some point, she just kind of lost her point and just said what came naturally. Worrying about 'good' and 'evil' at that point reduced things to some game, and a dull one at that.

She smiled to the maid and bowed, then she was off to follow Seiji.

Konami watched Nishiyo storm off, then Seiji and Hananko leave. All with a silent curious look on her face, before she started following Seiji and Hanako.

"I seem to have lost my partner, would it be alright if I follow you two?" She asked. "I get the feeling I would get stronger this way."

Nishiyo didn't stop, but she did slow down.

"Aaaaah... honesty," she mused. "Now that's a reason I can respect."

And then she walked away, and that was the end of that. If she had any particular thoughts on Hanako's reason for hating her, she kept them to herself. But Hanako hadn't been completely right--Nishiyo didn't want anyone to care about her. The little girl that had become her, though...

...That little girl. Being that little girl had been...

It had been horrible. Nishiyo was glad she wasn't that little girl anymore. That little girl had been helpless and scared and confused and angry and then that little girl had finally shattered like a china doll and the Nishiyo Sadako that walked the ruins now had been what her father had grown inside.

That poor, unfortunate, broken girl.

Rest in peace, little one...

"Well, what do you say, Seiji-san?"

Seiji slowly shook his head. "No, I don't have the stomach for it today. If it's all the same? I'll just walk home."

"Um…okay? I'll see you at school tomorrow, okay?"

Hanako turned back to the maid. "I guess that means I lost my partner too. We should probably go outside and wait a bit before going back in, then."

Konami wordlessly bowed to Hanako.

"Very well. I assume this has something to do with keeping this "Reaper" being from finding us?" She asked as she straightened up and moved to shadow Hanako.

"I have read everything that has been noted about this beast, and while I relish challenges, I personally do not wish to meet this one just yet." She mentioned.
