"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
"Be-cause," Nishiyo answered lightly, not acknowledging Konami's irritation, "one o' those Shadows has 'look at me, I'm a firey fire monster made o' fire' practically written all across its fact and I can read it from here... bah, no lightning weaknesses. Works just fine on it, though. Lemme scan on o' the other two."

Voices could be heard, both sounded familiar to Nishiyo, but she couldn't quite place them at the moment, and they could have been anyone, she talked to a lot of people at school: being social was a life advantage, after all! It was always about the people you knew, rarely about what you could actually do with yourself.

Nishiyo stopped right around the corner from the room where Seiji and Hanako fought the Shadows, signalling Konami to stop.

"Vile... Larva..." she whispered. "Oh--poopie. They killed the other one. Just one left, the fire one. We could sit here or jump in, up t'you, Jeeves-chan!"

The Larva had singled out Seiji as the weaker of the two intuitively. and lunged for him, planning a Burning Skewer.

It never got the opportunity. A Hama dead center was all it got for it's troubles. It crumpled over.

A moment of nothing…a second. a third. They knew the Infernal Whisp would flee, but it'd try to slip past them by making them drop their guard… Then suddenly the corpse exploded as a whisp went shooting past!

But only for three meters, Hanako finally struck home, and it died rather anticlimactically to a single Aqua spell.

"Well, that was tedious."

"Yeah, those two still coming?"

"Yup. Wanna meet up, tackle bigger stuff with them?"

"Sure, why not?" Meeting new people was fun!

Meeting old enemies? Not so much.

"Please do not call my by that weird nickname." Konami all but pleaded with Nishiyo about "Jeeves-chan." She was momentarily distracted by the sounds of battle, then the silence that followed. "I believe they are finished, shall we go talk to them..." Konami paused. "I regret to say, but I think you forgot to tell me your name, unless you think I should give you an equally childish nick name as you gave me."

"But I like nicknames, nicknames're cool~" Nishiyo said. "Sounds like one of 'em's a scanner, though..."

She peeked out around the ben. And grinned from beneath the spider-mask when she saw who it was.

"Ah..." she murmured to herself, putting a finger to her lips and smiling. "Them, eh? Maybe it's fate~" And then she stepped out into view, clapping her hands and grinning. "Hanako, you are good. Weird Shadow, that, possesses other Shadows? Is that how that works? I didn't even have time t' get any scannin' done on that thing..."

As she walked, she shifted her scanning power directly onto Hanako, trying to determine the girl's strengths and weaknesses. Would she need to fight? No, she wouldn't need to... but, perhaps she could convince these two to come along with her! A party of four was far better than a party of two, and both of those two had reason to be very concerned about her collateral...

There was a pause as the two looked to the source of the voice. And when they saw it, they had similar strong reactions.

Hanako's knife was ready, and out came Medusa, the headless woman banishing her own head in a threatening manner.

Imhotep appeared as well, and for once, did not appear friendly or tranquil, the nimbus about him was bright, intense, and angry. His expression terrible and vengeful and mirroring Seiji's own feelings. He didn't bother to go for his sword hilt though. It held a hand threateningly towards Nishiyo.

"Don't bother with the knives, Hanako-senpai. Bitch nulls physical now. But lucky me…she kept the weakness to light." It wouldn't take more than a thought to bore straight into her chest with a Hama spell…

"Seiji, wait." Medusa was gone, as quickly as she came.

"…wait?"

"We're not fighting her, you remember that girl at Masumi's?"

"Etsuko…" No one could see it, but he closed his eyes. "…are you saying that you're seriously willing to play nice with this human trash who's blackmaling Chika for Etsuko's sake…?"

"So what else do we do, talk?"

"It's an idea."

With reluctance, Imhotep vanished. "So, talk."

"Thanks." The two didn't realize it, but that back and forth exchange was pretty rapid. It spoke of a rapport the two didn't even realize they had.

"Hello! You're Takenaka-san's maid, right? Sorry you got caught up in all of this, first of all!" She bowed. Then to Nishiyo, she turned and spoke with a much less warm and friendly tone. "Well, don't assume we're all BFFs now just because I like your sister. What is it you want from us?"

Seiji remained quiet, but mention of JIro probably did nothing to improve his mood.

Her free hand resting over her sword's hilt regardless, when she noticed the personas and weapons drawn. She kept it there when the two dismissed their personas. When one of them, the girl, recognized and greeted her, Konami bowed to her.

"Um, Hello." She said as she straightened. "What did I get caught in?" She asked confused.

Nishiyo's expression went flat as she listened to the two exchange words. She tensed when the Personae came out, but it wasn't unexpected. What was unexpected was that they didn't outright attack. Hanako stopped Seiji... how nice of her.

And their talk, fast as it was, gave Nishiyo time to get a fix on Hanako's elemental affinities. Drained water, weak to light, nullified darkness... phooey, her Persona's only element was useless. The black-haired girl smiled, reached up, and took her mask off, holding it to the right of her face, smiling with her face fully visible. That smile did not reach her eyes.

As she answered, she focused her Analysis on Seiji. He was the scanner, so...

"Ah, I get it now," she said, tilting her head to the side. "Y'were conspirin' even back then, Seiji's little pop-up-and-go thing was him scopin' out my stats, was it? Clever bitch. Careful, though. Like Fujiwara here just said, I'm--well, not so much blackmailin' Nakadachi as blackmailin' alla you with Nakadachi." Her eyebrows rose. "Last thing I wanna do is destabilize Nakadachi by blackmailin' her with this stuff directly, those pics are--well, let's just say they're fairly extreme shit."

Nishiyo stepped closer to the two, her smile dropping from her face, her expression going cold.

"As in, she sold herself to a sadist t' pay the bills and I got some really choice shots o' her in a few compromisin' situations," she said. "So ya really don't want me t' die in here. Not yet anyhow. Answer me this, then." Nishiyo's lips tightened. "Etsuko. She told about meetin' me after all? I thought..."

A pause.

"Never mind. It don't matter if she gives a shit, anymore. All I want's a bit more power for my Persona, then I can do what I wanna do, then ya'll can finish me off, then it'll be done and everyone'll live happily ever after. So!" Nishiyo clapped her hands, the smile returning. "Who's up for a really awkward three-player co-op dungeon crawl?" Then she looked back to Konami. "Oh right, you're still here. Hi! Four-player. I meant four-player."

"Thank you very much!" She spat back with equal parts sarcasm and vitriol at the 'clever bitch' comment. "I'd like to say it took a lot of work to outmaneuver you but that'd be a lie!"

As for the delightful offer. Seiji summed it up, pretty well: "Bitch, are you fuckin' serious?"

Chika so- Chika sold herself. He was full of disgust: absolutely none towards Chika but a deep and potent revulsion towards Nishiyo who'd already ruined the girl's life once and would have done so again just to get what she wanted. Fortunately his 'mask' covered his eyes completely, he had quite the poker face.

Hanako didn't have that edge, but she still kept her composure like a champ. She had to figure those ugly rumors floating around had to have some grain of truth. She'd already made peace with the possibility and personally Hanako didn't need such an ugly incentive to stay her hand anyways.

"Careful, Etsuko happens to be friends with Chika now. Seeing her fall to pieces like that would hurt her, too you know…" She cautioned. And also added. "No, Etsuko didn't talk. That ring of yours had a means to track you in it, so when it never left Masumi's, we knew right away."

She stepped forward. "And it would probably be the two of us. I probably have a few more things I'd like to say and ask you, but I won't ask Seiji to suffer your presence more than he has to, the same goes for…" she smiled to Konami again. "Please forgive me, I'm Hanako Ito. I don't think I ever got your name?"

Meanwhile, Seiji said. "I'm not letting you out of my sight with her around, Hanako-senpai." He gave Konami a stiff bow and an introduction as well "Seiji Fujiwara."

Proper manners having been conditioned as deeply as possible, Konami bowed at the waist to both Hanako and Seiji. "Koga Konami." She replied. "It is nice to meet you Ito-sama, Fujiwara-sama." She said while straightening. "I have yet to learn her name though." She said, motioning to Nishiyo with her sheathed sword's handle.

She did balk a little at all the talk. But she remained silent. This wasn't her problem, and she didn't want to draw steel on someone who's stated to have ascended, she didn't know much Persona slang, but she did know that one.

Nishiyo's expression went blank at the revelation about the ring. Blank, and a little windswept-looking. A few moments later she said, "Let her keep the ring. If somethin' happens, y'can track her down, right?"

Then she put her mask back on and smiled out from under it. "It would hurt skooterbutt, come t' that, but mostly I just don't want Chika bein' the next Persona-user to explode. That might attract some unsavory types, y'know? And right now my folks're payin' some attention t' Nagashima, because SOMEONE!" (This word came out as a deafening, inexplicably angry shout, but everything before and after it was stated quite cheerfully.) "...thought it'd be good idea t' arrest their little girl's husband-to-be. If y'all're lucky all that'll come o' that is Katashi-kun turnin' up dead in his cell at some point..."

Nishiyo shrugged, and then moved to walk past Hanako, beckoning the others to follow.

"I s'pose it wouldn't hurt t' tell ya just what I'm tryin' t'do, would it?" she mused. "But if y'wanna know, you're followin' after me. We'll talk on the move, while we fight some Shadows. Now..."

The girl stopped, and turned on the spot, reaching outward with Analysis.

"There were a few Armored Ursa a bit that way..." she mumbled, "...and over that way... six... Quantum... Anomaly. Ooh, that sounds fun! Too far away for a good scan, though. Either'a ya know what those are?"

Abruptly, the black-haired girl turned toward Konami and said, "I'm Nishiyo Sadako, by the way~! Did I get your name?"
