The black-leather catsuit hadn't been properly replaced since the damage of last time, but there was no point bothering with it now. Nishiyo had gone to the shopping center and purchased several versions of the same outfit, which she hoped would last her until someone managed to nail her with a lucky Hamaon spell and kill her or something--semi-stylish boots, dark-blue designer jeans, a white undershirt, and a black jacket. For now, though, she knew one thing: what she was planning was too ambitious for her current power level. She was a Persona-user, and she was immune to physical attacks, and those two things were ungodly advantages against Yakuza. But she had only one offensive option besides her own combat training, and that was a simple Mudo spell. She needed something else, some other form of attack.

To get one, she needed to strengthen her Persona. One thing had kept her from coming back here before now, and that was Kyo Charinko's red-eyed Shadow doppelganger. That was still a danger, but at least now Nishiyo didn't have to worry about Piglet's formidable hand-to-hand skills. Just the lightning and darkness magic, and the charm magic, and the sleep magic, and...

...and this was a risky gamble. Nishiyo made a point to enter from somewhere far removed from where she'd encountered the thing, an entrance on the other side of the woodland area. Running into that Shadow was less likely than an encounter with the Reaper, really, so she wasn't taking any more of a risk by coming down here than any other Persona-user...

She needed power. A little thing like threat of premature death wasn't something to hesitate over.

The black-haired girl walked along the halls of that accursed place, the mystery of which mattered to her not at all, constantly reaching out her mind in different directions with her Persona's improved Analysis power. It was interesting, being able to finally tell what she was detecting beyond a surface impression. That, too, would allow her to detect the Shadow-copy thing if it got near. Part of her was vaguely curious as to what exactly she would pick up if she did, but...

Well, in any case, there was a Shadow called The Narrator two rooms off in that direction. Nishiyo stopped, and pondered for a few moments. After deciding that any Shadow whose name started with a capital-T "The" was probably too much of a risk, she turned left and quietly walked down a different corridor, scanning for something weak, manageable, preferably weak to Darkness or to physical attacks...

Lolth stirred within her mind. She was hungry. Hunger had been the sense Nishiyo had gotten from the Spider Queen ever since she'd decided power was what she needed before she could move ahead with her mission. Hunger, thirst for Shadow blood. It was a strangely exhilerating feeling, but it felt artificial, built-in, like a mechanism in her brain trying to motivate her to do this because without that mechanism, she wouldn't have been able to motivate herself.

Curious. But not worth wondering about... so... on with the game.

Suddenly, Nishiyo felt, through her analysis power, a presence. Several presences. Two shadows and a user. They weren't far, a couple of halls away, two minutes if she intentionally walked slowly, but she could also tell the shadows were also weaklings. Mayas at best, not something to get her hopes up over. In fact as soon as she managed to analyze the shadows, their presences were eradicated. The lone user signature having taken each out in one strike apiece. The user presence advanced on Nishiyo's position, stopping every now and then, probably looking around. Eventually this person rounded the corner, and Nishiyo got a good look at... A maid.

She wore a thin sleeved white kimono top, layered with black and another white under layer secured around the waist with an obi along with a knee length black skirt patterned to look like hakama pleated pants, over knee white stockings and slippers with a simple white apron over the lap, tied in the back with a large bow. Instead the maid's standard ruffled hairband there is a plain white one instead. She had long black hair tied behind her in a half braid, and she was clutching a sheathed katana in her left hand.

Blinking the woman stared at Nishiyo. The hand holding her sword tightening. She then cut into a sharp bow. "Greetings."

It didn't take long for Nishiyo to happen upon another Persona-user's energy signature, along with two weak Shadows that she barely had time to identify as a Muttering Tiara and Trance Twins before they blinked out of existence, one after the other. Nishiyo shrank into the shadows, focusing on that Persona-user. She might be able to make use of an ally, she figured, but that depended wholly on whether or not they were willing to work with her. Which probably meant she needed a complete stranger to the situation.

The problem with that was, she only knew a few of her enemies' Personae by name. Piglet was "Nevan the Lightning Witch." Inspector Imoto was "Solomon" and Naoya Imoto was "Krishna." Isoroku was "Penitent Gretchen," her boyfriend was "Tsukuyomi-no-Okami." Chika Nakadachi's Persona was named "Tisiphone." Apart from that, she knew off the top of her head to avoid anything related to Nero from Devil May Cry 4, as Shane Spencer's Persona came from that game, and that she should probably steer clear of the Persona Izanami, since that, if her memory of Bedlam threads was correct, belonged to Nana Samurakami, who could be assumed to either know about her through Nakadachi or simply because she was prudent and kept an eye on things.

The Persona she detected, when she focused on that Persona-user, was...

Koga Saburo. Arcana: Justice. Weakness: Ice, Resistance: Electricity.

Worth a risk, maybe. The "Justice" Arcana was mildly alarming, but it hardly instantly meant "police officer" or "vigilante." Stepping out of the shadows, Nishiyo summoned her mask, which now instead of a hood, was a face-covering thing with a spider design on it, made to cover her upper face only. She placed it on--it fit like a glove, naturally.

So, when the maid stepped into view, Nishiyo's face wasn't visible. She would not be recognized... but, she recognized this woman after a few seconds. A grin broke across her face, and she folded her arms over her chest.

"Aaaaaiiiin't you that maid that Takenaka kid had on school grounds last week?" she asked in a cheerful voice. "I caught a peek o' that mess. So you're a user, eh? Answer me somethin'--are ya a maid or is it a cosplay thing? I'm not judgin', and this city's seen weirder anyway. Weren't there, like, anime battle nuns runnin' around at one point?" (This last was a muttered aside, as Nishiyo scratched her chin with one hand, trying to remember what exactly she'd dug out of the backlog in the days after awakening.

Konami was taken aback, someone who remembered her from the incident when she took Jiro his lunch? How fortuitous. Konami decided on a solo dive into the ruins, though she lacked any actual healing magic her basic first aid training from home would suffice for any minor non-debilitating injuries.

Her train of thought was interrupted when she was asked if she really was a maid or was 'cosplaying.' That term again, the Nakagawa twins seemed determined to label her with that term and from her interactions with those two both at the school and during her awakening, they continuously called her that.

"Frankly," she muttered, "I do not know what this 'cosplay' is so, no I am not it." She stated firmly., "I am a maid, I was raised as one, and I hope I die as one." She said. She perked a brow at Nishiyo as she walked closer to the masked woman. "Intriguing mask you have. Far bolder then mine." She muttered as she summoned the brass Pince-nez to her hand. Putting them on she tried to stand causally as she could. "They do not fit me, do they?" She asked.

Nishiyo quirked an eyebrow (behind her mask, unseen) at the maid when she asked what cosplay was. "It means costume play," she said with a shrug. She smirked, folded her arms over her stomach, and leaned in, a suggestive smirk on her mouth. "A lot o' guys think it's really hot for a cute girl t' wear maid or nurse outfits, don'tchaknow. Specially unrealistic ones that're low-cut with... high skirts, visible stockings n' garters... stuff like that. Y'know?"

She straightened up, and shrugged

"There! Culturally stupid newbie has~ been~ educated~" Nishiyo said in singsong, before turninging about and beckoning with her hand. "Thanks for sayin' it, but I think they look good. A little old-school British, but eh, I've seen weirder masks. Why don'tcha tag along with me then, newbie? My Persona's got Analysis, so I can find Shadows n' tell ya their vulnerabilities n' stuff. Sound good?"

"Senpai, you have to hit the bastard or this will never end!"

The third time the process had repeated, the infernal whisp retreated into the body of another Vile Larvaa as soon as possible, turning it into an infernal larva, despite Hanako's best shots, it evaded the fatal blow of an Aqua spell every time. There were just two left at that point and one upgraded by the Infernal Whisp, out of an original party of six.

"I'm trying to hit it, it's surprisingly hard to get a good target on!"

They worked in Tandem against the Infernal Larva, Seiji dropped the zombie-like Shadow with a well-aimed Hama and Hanako was ready with an Aqua. Only for it to just barely avoid the attack by flying erratically and possessing the last one.

It was short work for the two to deal with the last Larva's comrades, and endgame was approaching.

"Well, just a single Infernal Larva left now…"

"Yeah. Don't let the Whisp get away when we're done, I hate those things."

Konami's eyes widened as she learned what "cosplay" was. She then frowned sharply. "Next time they call me that..." She muttered darkly, her hand gripping her sheathed sword enough to make small squeaking sounds. She was so focused that she actually missed Nishiyo's blatant insult.

She smiled at the compliment though. And she also nodded when Nishiyo mentioned she has analysis and offered to team up. "I would welcome another blade. I fear my luck might turn sour if I continue alone."

Nishiyo walked along, a satisfied smile on her face, but the area around them was surprisingly devoid of Shadows. Some Armored Ursa seemed to be in a room off that way, though... Armored Ursa, those were the big armored bear things she'd taken pains to avoid before, because she had been weak against physical attacks...

Times had changed. Times had changed hard and fast and turned those odds straight on their head, heheh... this Ascension stuff was pretty nifty, all things considered.

"This way, got some Shadows a hallway or so down that I'll have no trouble with," Nishiyo said, clasping her hands behind her and starting to skip along instead of walk. She led Konami further down the hall, and then took the first lefthand turn they came to. As she neared that chamber full of Armored Ursas, however, she slowed down, and frowned.

Two more Persona-users, and three Shadows, at the edge of her awareness, not even that far off--she would have missed them, except for the roundabout route she'd taken to find the Ursas. "Hang on, looks like there's a fight goin' on," she said. Glancing back toward Konami, she said, "...Let's get closer, I wanna see what's what. Might be worth cuttin' in!"

And she took off at a fast walk, ignoring the room full of Ursa for now. As she got closer, the names and attributes of those things seemed to come into clearer and clearer focus. She couldn't tell which one was weak to what just yet, especially not while she was trying to identify five things at once. But...

Medusa, Death Arcana. Imhotep, Magician Arcana. Whose Personae were those, she wondered? The Shadows they were fighting were called Vile Larva and Infernal Larva. There were two of the former, one of the latter. Infernal, did that mean inferno? She focused on scanning that Shadow's attributes first.

Before she even got so far as actually learning its attributes, she asked, "Say, Jeeves-chan... y'got any skills that're good against fire?"

"Same as last time?"

"Yeah, go!"

Seiji cast a Hama, only to have the flaming corpse duck low, barrel towards him and spew of vicious acid that immediately burst into blue flames before it rocketed right at him. He dodged aside just barely avoiding all but a grazing hit of the

"Bastard!"
He spat as he patted out the fire it lit on his clothing where the flames had contacted them.

It was punished however with a quick Aqua spell, but not a telling, killing blow. The Flaming blue shadow skittered away.

"…two people coming." Kogua Saburo of Justice Arcana and Lolth of Judgement. "One of them has Ascended." It was impossible to have strengths and no weaknesses or that many strengths against one weakness otherwise.

"Well that's good, but I don't think we need the help."
She held a knife out defensively towards the Shadow, on the other side, Seiji was ready, his katana in it's Sheath. They would have probably been done by the time those two showed up…

Konami's eyebrow twitched at the nickname. "My name is Konami." She stated. "And unfortunately no." She replied. "My persona is skilled in lightening magic and physical attacks." She mentioned. "Why do you ask?"
