After the long treck across the woods near the Ruins' entrance, Suzu had finally arrived, and she had been the first at that. Unlike previous times, it didn't seem to strain her legs that much anymore; such was probably due her recent Track and Field training. It was tough, sure, but it pulled her athleticism to new heights, which was always nice. Throughout the trip, however, something went wrong - Aleph decided to reply to the thread. What in the name of fuck had possessed him to do such a retarded thing? Not exactly sure why you're surprised. Undine had a point there, admittedly. But, it did absolutely nothing to lessen her rage. As soon as the redhead got near the entrance, she pocketed her phone, and reached for the cylindrical bag over her shoulder, opening its zipper and retrieving some metallic objects. The first was what looked to be a haft to a Tetsubo - custom made, of course. She couldn't help but smile a bit despite the rage, as it was her pride and joy, forged by none other than Naoya Imoto. She decided to attach two of the lighter weights to it, wanting to make it light for its test drive, coupled with the fact that she couldn't exactly handle the heavier stuff just yet. Finally, she retrieved what seemed to be a shell of a metallic baseball bat, except obnoxiously huge spikes were protruding from all over the place, some of them even bent on purpose. Perhaps the most eye-catching of the spikes would be the couple right in its tip, as if an extension of the club itself, for impaling purposes. After screwing that final piece of equipment, the bag went back over her shoulder, and she rested the tip of the bludgeon against the ground, serving as a lazy support from herself. Deciding to take her phone out for some more possible Aleph bashing, she opened her own Bedlam thread... ...Only to blush just a bit. "...It's not like I need his help..." Suzu muttered half heartedly while reading Seiji's response in the thread. Nevertheless, her face heated up, and her heart skipped a beat. Such a thing got worse once spotting the PM he sent. "..." After some hesitation, she replied, and pocketed it. Enough of those silly romance things, she didn't even feel like herself anymore! She went there to kick some Shadow butt! |

There were days when you just wanted to punch something until they stopped being what they were before. For Shinta, it was one of those days. He was pissed off, he had a metal staff and some reinforced gloves, and he knew some kung fu. This was going to be interesting. Shinta had his staff slung over his shoulders and his gloves on as he approached the ruins enterance. "You must be Suzu. I'm Shinta Watanabe." said Shinta. |

It was a far cry to appearing in the middle of the night. Mia showed up somewhat ready for trouble. Hiking boots, long jeans A sleeveless top (her biggest concern was something catching her sleeves if she had to get away. Exactly why? She wasn't sure.) Her hair was arranged in an updo to keep out of her way when fighting or running. She was very well aware she had nothing in the way of offensive capabilities. Lif Could heal…and bolster her defenses…and that was it. Rather than big, manufactured weapons and the training to use them. Mia brought with her a large kitchen knife. It was in a handbag she planned to hide and stow near the ruins entrance. Only her phone and weapon were going in with her. "Hello. I'm GreenHeart on the forums. You can just call me Mia." She was Shurahime and…was that a Tetsubo? The other one? She guessed he wasn't the Pyromaniac guy, as he sounded like he was persona non grata as far as Shurahime was concerned. Looking around, she asked. "Is this everyone that's coming?" |

It seemed the first person arrived. Suzu decided to slung the colossal weapon over her shoulder with surprising ease, and glanced at the approaching guy, nodding in response. "Yep, that's me. Nice t'meet'cha." After a very quick scan, she did confirm the boy didn't match her strengths and weaknesses at all, which was quite excellent. She had asked for variety after all. "We're just waitin' for someone else n--oh, there she is, nevermind." At that point, Mia came to view. Suzu nodded once more. "Yeah, don't wanna stick 'round to wait for those two retards t'show up." Going with a Serizawa to the ruins was the same as signing a death sentence; her best friend was the very proof of such a thing. "Holy mutter of weaknesses..." She muttered under her breath, and her eyes widened as she scanned Mia. But, interestingly enough, she was marked as The Fool. Wild card? Now that was something she didn't get to see every day. "Let's go, before we make a whole in the damn ground." Suzu walked towards the entrance after mentioning the others to follow, the grip around the monster of a weapon she was carrying tightening as the lust for battle started piling up. "Enemy in sight!" [OOC: Someone please fling a shadow in here, I can't control that stuff for my life. Keep in mind Suzu's a scanner.] |

Two Mercury Sorcerers and a Venus Sorcerer floated towards the trio. Shinta grit his teeth and charged, channeling Garu into his staff and smashing it into the mask of the Venus. It made a noisy gurgling sound as it cast Maragi. Shinta managed to duck to the side- but he ended up moving into the path of the first Mercury's Bufu. Shinta grunted as the ice spell struck him in the shoulder. |

"I know, right?" She said sheepishly before she summoned her mask to put on her face. "It's kind of why I'm not planning to go to the ruins alone anytime soon. The bigger the group the better." It was only right she adopt a more humble and down to Earth posture. It was true. She ended up looking meeker than she really felt though. She had come back with the ambition of gaining power, after all… Mia was all too aware of her own frailties, as they stepped into the ruins, Lif protected her with the blue-violet light a Rakukaja spell. She hang back as Shinta took the lead. She gave a startled shriek as her portion of the Maragi spell came for her. She dropped to her knees and ducked below it. To say the danger to her wasn't taken lightly was an understatement. When the flames passed overhead, she was up, and she intended to do contribute. The best bet? A Dia spell, cast upon Shinta. "Are you okay, Watanabe-san?" |

"Holy shit, wait for analysis much?" Suzu blinked in disbelief as Shinta mindlessly charged at the enemies, and predictably got hit. Nevertheless, she assumed a battle stance with her tetsubo, and Undine's watery form appeared behind her. At the same time, a mask that was apparently made out of liquid covered her face. Hypocritically enough, she sprung to action immediately, out of pure reflex. She proceeded to race at the closest Mercury Sorcerer, her well-trained speed allowing her to properly sidestep away from the fireball at a moment's notice. And then... "EAT THIS!" The massive club of doom was then infused with a Zio, and the electricity engulfed it. She swung it mid-run at the Shadow's mask, aiming to see just how much damage those oversized spikes could do. |

"I'll be alright..." said Shinta, rolling his shoulders. The Guy Fawkes mask covered Shinta's face and Ziusudra cast Tarukaja on Suzu as she charged the Mercury Sorcerer to bolster her offense. The Mercury Sorcerer shrieked in pain as the club came down on its mask. The Shadow nearly fell to the floor, only for the other Mercury to cast Dia on it. Shinta snarled as he turned on the healer Shadow. "We need to kill the ones in the brown robes first, they're healers!" he yelled. Meanwhile, the Venus Sorcerer focused on Mia, emitting a pink glow as it cast Marin Karin. |

Well, if everyone was going to go around swinging, someone had to ask. "Um…so, what are these things weak and strong against?" Unless they happened to have a weakness to physical, Mia wouldn't be able to do much more than what she'd already been doing. She looked to the Venus sorceror and Suddenly…she started feeling good, and safe and wel-…the fuck was she doing? There was nothing good, nice or safe about the ruins, and these things were trying to kill her! "The one with the woman's shape tried to charm me, I think!" She resisted, of course, and elected to double-down on Suzu's buffs with a Rakukaja of her own. If they thought fighting face to face with those things were fine, she wasn't gonna argue, but she didn't want them hurt or heavens forbid her high and dry if they started to gain the upper hand in close quarters combat. |

"Brownies here are weak to fuckin' ELECTRICITY!" Surely, a Dia hadn't been enough to heal it fully? Suzu repeated the bashing once more, before the electricity along her weapon could vanish. "'N they resist fire 'n ice. Not like I care..." She took a step back, having an idea. Undine seemed to be concentrating. "Orangey there's weak to darkness, 'n nulls fire, 'cause who doesn't, right." She announced sarcastically. Why did everything have fire attacks when she was weak against them? Suddenly, a rather potent Aqua came into view... aimed at the ground, so to soak it up, as well as both of the Mercury's base. The technique she was about to pull had worked once before, would it work again...? "Thanks, by the way!" She said rather lately, regarding the buffs she received. Maybe the incoming strike would severely cripple those things, if not outright kill them. |
