Shin thought for a moment, looking at those who remained. He didn't attempt to prevent Fujiwara or Serizawa from leaving -- the fewer people involved, the better. Moreover, Fujiwara needed less involvement in psychotic situations, and Serizawa would make it worse. Naoya looked down sheepishly. He wasn't about to argue with Susaki's explanation for what happened, though he could've handled it if it weren't for his goddamned shadow. He rubbed his right thigh, thinking. "Maybe, uh, maybe --" Shin held up his right index finger, silencing Naoya. "Okay. First off, next time you go to chase down someone who attempted murder, you contact me first. Second off, after you contact me, you don't. Third and finally, we're taking him to the training center, and we're going to have some people who can hit his weak points present as insurance." He glanced at Susaki and Charinko. "I understand that he is weak to wind and fire, do either of you two have those elements?" They would need to contact Nakamura, and see about arranging some kind of conversation about what to do with Jiro. Thankfully, Shin thought, he had just the person to call to make sure that the result was above-the-board. |

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"

Eri bristled a bit at Shin's chastising of Naoya, and took a step back from Shin, looking a bit uncertain for the first time since she'd suggested calling him. "Takenaka-kun called Naoya-kun for help. He was scared..." she said softly. "I don't think you're being completely fair..." But the protest died down almost as soon as it came. When it came down to it, Shin was the police officer here, and it wasn't her place to argue with whatever he had to say about his nephew's decisions. After a few moments she shook her head and said, "Only gravity..." in answer to Shin's question, and left it at that. She looked to Kaede, not really sure how seriously she was supposed to take that "vision" talk. All she knew for sure was that Kyo had been mentioned in one of the prophecy posts, but that obviously hadn't come true, right? |

Kaede barely restrained her glee as Shin proceeded to take charge of the situation. It was good to see someone who was actually being intelligent about this whole deal. She raised her hand as Shin asked about what spells they could use. "I've got Garula, I should be able to help there," she said. |

Shin looked at Eri, and explained as patiently as he could manage: "This situation involves assault, and potentially attempted murder. I have no objection to my nephew attempting to secure his compliance, but I have every objection to not being contacted directly. I can't check Bedlam easily while at work, but he -- and several others -- have my private line. Now, Charinko-san, could I prevail on you to drive my nephew home?" When Kaede mentioned her skill, Shin nodded. "I would appreciate your help in containing him until we can make a judgment about his behavior." He reached under his suit jacket, and produced a pair of handcuffs from a loop he had had added to his belt. He took a knee, and secured Takenaka's wrists as tightly as he could, then produced his phone. Still kneeling, he began to type out a message. "God, and now we've got to move him...what are they feeding kids these days?" he muttered absentmindedly. |

"Y-yes, of--of course," Eri said, immediately turning back toward the door and starting to walk, robotically. Whether it was in answer to Shin's explanation of why he'd told Naoya off, or an answer to his request, or both, was impossible to tell. Eri's expression had become closed-off, distant. No one present would have recognized it, but it was exactly the look Kyo had seen on her mother's face on those occasions where someone--either her husband or a family friend--had said something about how something should be or what should be done... and Eri had just gone along with it. She motioned silently for Naoya to follow and then left. She didn't say so, but she couldn't help thinking that if she were in Naoya's position, her first thought wouldn't have been to call Shin any more than Kyo's first thought would have been to come to her mother for advice... |

"No problem, officer," Kaede said, and she stood by the door and waited for him to pull Jiro up. Charinko Senior seemed to be leading Naoya out of the room, so that was problem taken care of for now. She watched Naoya leave, scowling. He'd been vague on what the visions he'd been having were, but he'd said that they were interrupting his Shadow encounters. They weren't the standard Shadow visions, then. Which meant they were something else, something to do with his Persona, right? She felt sick just thinking about it. It was bad enough that kind of thing had been thrust on her. No one else needed to be seeing freaky shit thanks to their Personas. |

Shin grunted as he slung Jiro into a modified fireman's carry, and began to walk out of the warehouse. "Goddamn kids. Why are these children all fucking giants. I swear to god..." He only let go of Jiro long enough to open the rear passenger-side door, and thrust him through without any regard for whether he banged Jiro's head against anything. After all, he was immune to physical damage, right? Naoya quietly followed Eri from the warehouse, unable to muster any kind of resistance or protest. |
