"Oh, what the fuck ever, you know damn well that's not why I'm aski--" At that moment, Jiro kangaroo hopped over everyone's heads and then proceeded to slam head first into the ground before, unsurprisingly, collapsing to the ground. Kaede stood up and scowled. "Seriously?! Ugh, I do not have time for this shit..." She turned back toward Naoya. "This discussion isn't over." She walked over to Jiro and crouched down beside him and Eri, holding her hand out as her Persona appeared next to her. "Here, let me Diarahan him. Stupid idiot probably gave himself a concussion with that..." Her hand began to glow with a white light as she cast the healing spell on Jiro's head. |

[Shin will arrive in one cycle.] "Not over." What was that supposed to mean? What had happened, exactly? He gathered that it was his shadow acting -- acting through him, apparently -- that had people worried. He hadn't just lost time, he had lost his body. And it was growing stronger. The boy shivered. "Pro'ly not. Guy's bash-proof," Naoya noted, his voice slightly more slurred than it normally was. "Goin' t' guess that healin' ain't goin' t' do much." He rubbed his nose. The situation had gone to hell because of him. It had been bad, but he had made it a clusterfuck just by being here. Good job, he supposed. "I ain't sure how t' put a limiter on 'im. Guy's stab-proof, too," he mused, idly. |

"He doesn't need a limiter, he's afraid," Eri said in an insistent voice. Her fingers continued searching, and she sighed in mingled relief and frustration when she found no injury. Standing up and closing her eyes, she shook her head. "We need to make sure he knows he can trust us to help him. Otherwise he'll think he needs to escape. I was so close... and he completely threw away any ideas of trying to run when it looked like you were in trouble, Naoya-kun. He's not in a good place, but he's--he just needs help. I'm sure of it." The woman looked around, frowning at their surroundings. There was no convenient place to lay Jiro down, so it just looked like they'd have to move him out of sight until Inspector Imoto arrived. "Can one of you help me get him back inside? This would get complicated if a... random officer on patrol walked by, or something." As Eri bent down to take Jiro by the feet, she paused, and then glanced at Naoya before moving to heave Jiro up. When someone moved to help, she would carry him back into the warehouse and then shut the door that Jiro had just barely managed to open. "What does 'symmetry' mean?" she asked dubiously, directing the question at Naoya. "I mean your Shadow, when it stabbed--when you stabbed--yourself. Your leg. It said 'symmetry.' What was that about?" |

"Mmm." Seiji was there to help. He might as well have had something useful while he was there. There wasn't much to be done for Naoya then. He could have asked an unconscious person all the questions he wanted, but he wasn't going to get an answer. So he went to get Jiro's shoulders so he wasn't dragged. "Well…I don't know." He was going to ask if it was possible to make a limiter ring that functioned without digging into one's flesh. It was a foolish question in Seiji's mind. If he could have, why did Chika have to be stuck with the old kind for so long when she wore it? The question of 'symmetry' actually made Seiji very nervous, he kept his head down and focused more on the task of carrying Jiro than contemplating what that could have fully meant. |

Kaede figured out pretty quickly that the guy must not have been that hurt, because her Diarahan wasn't even touching him. She could Recarm him, but on second thought, she liked him better unconscious. She moved out of Seiji and Eri's way so they could bring him inside, and turned back toward Naoya, a scowl on her face. "Well, considering it stabbed him in the leg and humans are symmetrical down the spine... it means there's something fucked with his other leg, right Naoya?" Kaede asked. She crossed her arms and looked away. "If you can enchant it with an attack spell, that should get around the physical null issue," she added. "Not that I support doing that kind of thing. He needs a good talking to is what he needs, not putting a silence spell on him until he fixes himself. And maybe a night in a jail cell so he can think about what he did. Not a stupid magic ring." |

"Oh. Toru got 't me with a cordless drill. Got...y'know...got this big ol' spiral-shaped scar," Naoya muttered, patting his left thigh. He fell silent, chastened by Susaki's response to him saying that the ring wouldn't work. He could outline the number of problems with her idea, though perhaps if he put a coating on the teeth that contained an elemental spell... That would take twenty days of work. More than a month. He would die if he attempted it. If it didn't outright kill him, he'd probably put his head against the anvil and ask whoever was helping him to just bash his brains out. And with that cheerful thought, Shin arrived. The detective entered through the bashed open door, and surveyed the scene. His suit was slightly wrinkled, and he appeared very tired. "...So it looks like the situation is merely awful instead of out-and-out terrible," he noted. "I understand that Nakamura is still alive. Would someone give me the short version?" |

"He needs psychological help," Eri sighed in a badly-controlled tone, the simmering voice of one who was aimlessly frustrated by everything around them and trying to keep control--the only adult in the room needed to be in control, of herself if of nothing else. She looked a bit queasy at the idea of Naoya's Shadow referring to symmetrical injury. That wouldn't eventually lead to it injuring the other side of his head, would it...? Goodness, she hoped not. Once Jiro was safely away from the door, the woman straightened up, and walked to the door, pulling it mostly shut--but leaving it open a crack, so that Inspector Imoto would know where they were. "I heard him when he was in there, talking to Naoya-kun," she said quietly. "This has to do with his brother's murder, and the boy he attacked confessed that his father was the one that did it, or something--I don't quite remember all of it, but--" She shook her head. "It's not as if he can't be blamed, but having a bombshell like that dropped on him... I wouldn't fault a normal boy for losing their head in that situation." Eri looked to the door. "We'll see what the Inspector has to say..." she murmured. "But I don't think a magic ring's needed. Right now, Takenaka is just afraid of repercussions. And why shouldn't he be? I've been reading that forum of yours, that whole mess with Kyomu Monto never did get straightened out, all that talk of trials and justice and second chances and nothing got sorted out at all, it was just one big pile of--of bickering and--Inspector!" That was the point at which the door opened again, and Shin arrived. Eri immediately walked toward the inspector, pointing back at the downed Takenaka. "I'm not sure about the whole story, but yes, that other boy is alright," Eri said. "I'm sure we can--if we can calm this boy down once he's awake, I'm sure we can persuade him to explain again. He was telling Naoya-kun, but then Naoya-kun's... Shadow took control. It didn't do anything, it talked and tried to antagonize us, but it seemed to think Naoya-kun would 'self-destruct' and the rest of us needed to get away. It said it was... only interested in him being destroyed by it. No one else." She shrugged her shoulders hopelessly and looked back at Naoya, apology on her face. "It was probably just an... exaggeration, or something," she said. "His problems being given a megaphone to yell with. That's--normally how this works, right?" |

He set him down once inside and away from possible complications of praying eyes. So, in review: Naoya was as alright as he was gonna get for the time being, and his uncle, the police inspector was there. He paused a moment in thought and questioned if he was really necessary to be there further. He took a deep breath and realized he wasn't calming down at all. The second hand account of what happened didn't satisfy his anger one bit. If anything, the fact that he attacked Daichi over something someone else did just upset him more. So with that, he came to an conclusion: "If that will be all? I'm going. Naoya-san? I'll see you later." With that calm, even-toned statement to excuse himself, he planned to leave, and go home. Or to the ruins. Or to Suzu's. Or to the nearest convenience store. Or literally anywhere that wasn't there. [Exit Tag] |

Aleph watched as the event continued. Shin had arrived to look over his nephew, Naoya. Eri had explained that Jiro seemed afraid of the consequences of attacking Daichi. Apparently, Jiro's brother was murdered by Daichi's father. Aleph winced at the story. Guess he really couldn't blame Jiro for losing himself over something like that. But he still tried to kill the guy over something his dad did, you know? That's like those assholes being mad at you for something Erina caused by being way in over her head about it. Yeah, just like the Beetle Hunt. Aleph looked around. After everything seemed to be all cleared up, Aleph sighed. "Well, if that's everything, then I'm gonna go too." He said, then turned around to leave. "Bye, Naoya-san. See ya, Jiro-kun." With that, Aleph walked home, the incident still hanging in his mind. [Exit.] |

Shin walked in, and Aleph and Seiji both walked out, which was fine by Kaede. Less people to fuck things up in here. She stuck her tongue out in disgust at Eri as she walked up to the inspector. God, she was already jumping all over the only adult in the room, wasn't she? Kaede crossed her arms as Eri gave an explanation of the situation, and said flatly, "It's not an exaggeration. I had a vision of Naoya killing a shitload of people in a fire. His Shadow is causing him to hurt himself and he's been having visions of things as a result of his Shadow. Everything is pointing to Stutters literally blowing up at some point in the future. "As for what happened in here, dumbass over there apparently attacked dumbass number two, ran away, and then got antagonized by your nephew. Then we all showed up, I was... myself... with him, and then he knocked himself out trying to get away. And now we're here! What a lovely story, huh, Inspector?" |
