Naoya was only dimly aware of the world around him, and then felt the comforting tension around his head vanish as the knot on the bandana was undone. He reacted with as much vigor as he could manage and did his best to swat Kaede's hand away. This, of course, showed the wound on his head: the notch in his cranium that ran from the temple to the base of his skull, through bare flesh crisscrossed with cicatrices. The rest of his head had only a light bristling of black hair cut short. A thin trickle of blood dripped out of the wound, which had apparently burst from within. His expression was something like that of a person who had just had the dubious honor of having a stranger blatantly and intentionally attempt to grab at their crotch on a city bus. A mixture of shocked, appalled, and confused. "Just...no...j...hell. I'll just bandage it up when, y'know, when I get home. Healin' don't work on't." He slipped the knife into his boot, and began to try to put the bandana back on, fumbling with the knot. |

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"

Eri was momentarily distracted by the sight of Naoya's scar, but being off to the side as she was, Naoya probably wouldn't be able to see the surprise, slight disgust, and pity on her face. Of course her mind went immediately toward what must have inflicted such an injury, but Jiro's quiet request drew her attention back. The woman slowly, and carefully, moved to the side of him and put her hands on his shoulders, gently trying to coax him to turn and face her directly. "Listen," she said, softly, but not quite a whisper this time. "What you did was wrong. The boy you attacked is fine now, but what you did was wrong and you might have done more harm than just murder by spreading misinformation on Bedlam like that. That can't be allowed and you need to take responsibility. No one is going to hurt you--I promise--but this will go better if you just let us help. I understand that your will wasn't all the way there. I'm new at this but I understand that much. From what I've read on the forum and heard from my daughter, this isn't the first time someone's done something--evil or crazy or something like that--and it's not even the worst by far." Eri put on a smile for Jiro's benefit, and removed one hand from his shoulder, backing up, and holding one hand out, palm up, a silent offer to help him get back on his feet. |

Noya was okay. Well not Okay okay, but the Shadow incident was over, and someone better equipped than he was looking after his injuries. He breathed a sigh of relief. But then, Seiji's attention turned not to the reason why he was there, but why Naoya and Eri were there in the first place. His hard glare was cast upon Jiro. He didn't say anything as he approached, and he made no hint of an aggressive action. He didn't break eye contact however. Finally he put forth a question, bristling with anger. "…why did you do it?" |

Aleph grimaced when he noticed the scar on Naoya's head. It looked seriously nasty, and it was probably amazing that whatever caused it Naoya had survived. He couldn't help but feel pity for his friend. He had been awake longer than Aleph had, and has probably been through so much. Nonetheless, the beret girl's healing magic might work on it. So, Aleph's attention turned back to Jiro, the main reason Aleph was here to begin with. Aleph's Shadow had wanted him to bring things back to normal by fixing them, so he had to start with Jiro and the related incident he was involved with. "I don't...I..." Aleph tried to say, noticing Seiji's angry sounding voice. "I still don't believe that Jiro-kun attacked Daichi-san. I mean..." Then again, what was Aleph doing trying to defend Jiro when he could just ask Jiro himself about it. Aleph had to know, though he wanted to deny it. Aleph turned to Jiro, eyes full of pleading and sympathy. "Jiro-kun...?" Aleph asked, praying that it wasn't true. "Is it true? Did you really...try to kill Daichi-san?" Aleph prayed that it wouldn't be true. That Jiro wouldn't have done such a horrible thing. He didn't lnow if he could handle it if it was true. |

Kaede brought her hand away as Naoya swatted it, and she opened her mouth to say something rude and out of place before she managed to get a good look at his scar. She closed her mouth, and then looked toward Jiro and the crowd that was slowly focusing on him. She turned toward Aleph. "Serizawa, help Imoto tie that knot. Don't make him do it himself when he's barely coherent, dammit." A scar on his leg, which healing didn't touch. A scar on his head, which healing couldn't touch. The Shadow possessing his body, the mention of visions... There was too much here she didn't understand, and too much to let it go unquestioned. So instead of piling questions on Jiro like everyone else seemed to be doing, she bent over Naoya and gave him a very stern look. "Imoto, how long have you been having these visions? What the hell is going on?" |

A battle was raging inside Jiro. Whether to trust this random house wife, or fear. He could accept the hand, and with it face his consequences. Try and make it up to the community somehow. He hesitantly began to reach for the woman's hand, and nearly did grab it. The pounding in his head was worsening, he felt like he was going to be sick again. Maybe...just maybe they wouldn't have him arrested. Or if he accepted the hand right now, maybe he could get some sort of protection from the third tiers. In the end, fear won. The boy with the sword approaching sealed that deal. Even if he wasn't being outright hostile. He gave the woman one last look before charging his legs with a Bash. He had to show he wasn't being hostile. Had to make them see all he was trying to do was get away. So instead of leaping at her. He tried to leap over her. He didn't even gain half the distance he usually did, and instead of landing feet first? He ended up smacking his head against the floor. He struggled to push himself up off of the ground. The headache was quickly becoming migrainous. Images were blurring. Every breath was a labor in and of itself. The door, he just had to get to the goddamn door. God, he'd never been so scared. He got up, and began stumbling toward the exit. Reaching a hand out to the door, swinging it open just a little more. He'd actually made it outside...and then he fell on the ground again. No...please.... Then everything went dark, and he knew no more. Edited by Exodin, Dec 21 2013, 12:07 PM.

"Been happenin' since th' Watanabe thing finished," Naoya said. He'd already figured out why, or assumed that he had, at least: the outer pressure of trying not to be brutally murdered had kept him occupied to the point where his Shadow hadn't been able to manifest. With Toru gone, though, he was suddenly more free to address his issues. Of course, he wasn't terribly willing to air out his dirty laundry in general, much less with someone as generally disagreeable as Kaede Susaki. He managed to tie a knot, and sat up. He felt exhausted and more than a little woozy. "'S kind of a thing. 'M workin' on it, but I ain't figured it out yet. Ain't heard 'f anything like it, but...uh...yeah." It was then that Jiro collapsed, and Naoya muttered: "Ah, shit." Working himself up on to his feet, he stumbled over, but didn't press in close enough to interfere with the others, who were more likely to be able to provide real help than he was. |

Eri Charinko was trying to be reasonable, trying to be gentle, and trying to be diplomatic. But she wasn't stupid: she knew that Takenaka was both very afraid and unstable, and with the immediate focus of Naoya's possession no longer at the forefront of the scene, fear and confusion had taken their place at the control center of his brain again. Jiro came close, oh so very close, to accepting Eri's offer of help. And then he panicked, and tried to flee, and the spell that Eri had been holding her focus on the edge of snapped to her hand, and she cast it. What spell? A gravity spell. That was part of why Jiro didn't gain enough distance: the gravity spell, visible only for a second as a spherical distortion on the air behind Jiro as he flew, tugged him back, stunted his momentum. And then the Earth's gravity reclaimed him and he fell. Eri jumped to her feet, muttering curses under her breath and rushing to follow Jiro. "Wait! Wait--!" she tried to call, but before she could say anything he was on the ground, had collapsed. Eri rushed up to his side, and immediately, ran her hands over Jiro's head, her fingers through his hair, seeking some sign of injury. "Can someone please get in contact with Naoya-kun's uncle?" she called sharply over her shoulder, before charging her fingers with Dia and working to lessen any swelling that might have been produced by such a hard knock to the head. "I know I can trust Inspector Imoto to handle this responsibly... I need to know where to take this boy, though..." |

"Tch…" It was a bit late to be running away after it was all said and done. He watched as Jiro tried to flee like a coward and fell on his face for it. There was little point asking him again, he probably would have just stammered out some useless shit. His scowl deemed and he simply stood where he was. At least until Eri made the suggestion to get Shin. "I'll do it, then." He turned back to the entrance and prepared to contact the detective via Bedlam. Edited by Nonsequitur, Dec 21 2013, 07:41 PM.

"..." Aleph watched as Jiro tried to run away only to fall over and be knocked unconscious. Aleph bit his lip. Now it probably was true, but Jiro probably didn't want to face his own best friends. Aleph didn't know what to think. His best friend was unpredictable and unstable. Who knew what could become of him. And since Aleph tried to defend Jiro's actions on Bedlam, that probably made him an accomplice at the very most, or at the very least an obstructer of justice. The beret girl ordered Aleph to help Naoya tie the knot on his bandanna, but when he turned to Naoya, the knot was already tied. So, Aleph had to turn his attention to Jiro, who was now unconscious. Aleph walked over to the unconscious Jiro, then casted Dia on him. |
