"If you like people yelling at you the whole time," Yuuki said. On one hand, he'd finally gotten the mail part for once with his scene excerpt, but on the other hand being one of the accusatory women was the more fun role. "Though you were very good for your first time reading it, Sato-san." Saying that almost felt weird, given the other Sato Yuuki knew, but then it was a rather common name. Mia Sato seemed rather adept at taking on roles. "You ever do any acting at your old school?" |

Aleph smiled softly as he closed his script. He cleared his throat before returning to his normal voice. "Yeah, it was pretty fun, actually." He said. Though, he didn't know about the other boy. Aleph was just glad he was doing this and having fun while he was at it. Aleph blushed when Mia complimented his near-perfect female voice impression. Embarrassing as it was, Aleph's vocal cords were, sadly, not strained at all from the ordeal. It didn't really sit well with Aleph, given the few other things he had to do that left him emasculated. "I guess I did a kinda good impression of a girl." Aleph said. It was embarrassing having to play a girl. But then again, the role of Takashi would've probably been a thousand times more burdensome and awkward. If anything's hammy, it's the freaking script. And people say you're the drama queen. The fact that I'm taking Drama does not help my standing. It really didn't. Not at all. Aleph turned to Mia. "You did pretty well, Mia-san." He said. |

"Oh, I dabbled, yes." It was nice being told she did well. Frankly though the role itself were reward enough for her. A character like the one she'd just played was so much fun. "I was in the Drama Club of my old school too. I think I'm really gonna like it here." Yeah, this was comfortable. This was familiar. Everyone might as well have spoke English and drove on the right side of the road for how much like home it could have been. No, not just like home. just familiar enough, and different too. It just added to the appeal of the place, as far as she was concerned. Also? to what Yuuki said? Honestly, his part would have been funf or her too. It's been a while since she got into a role that had one cringing and grovelling like that. Perhaps there'd be something for next time, eh? When she looked around once more, she came to a conclusion. "Seems the groups might be set more or less. Fine by me, I'd love to do more with you two anytime." |

"You were passable for a girl. Vocally," Yuuki said, having an inordinate amount of critique for such a judgement and thus very high standards. "The pitch suggested that there was either too much chlorine in your water or some other kind of possible esophageal damage, if you kept that voice any longer." "Sure, if you come back to more meetings." There was something refreshing about Sato compared to others in the club, even in Aleph had to be tacked on. Someone that could actually act and not turn their pride into the territory of a diva. |

"Eheheheh. Uhhh, well I guess I better stop chugging on so much bleach, I guess. Heh." Aleph said jokingly, though awkwardly. The thought of losing his voice by trying to imitate was even more emasculating in itself. "Yeah. It'd be a lotta fun, really." He said to Mia. The Drama Club did seem like a pretty fun club. Granted, Aleph tended to be a bit hammy and showy during some of the rehearsals, but that was just the typical life of a performer, was it not? |

"Are you kidding me? Wild horses couldn't keep me away!" Of course she was coming back. It was a great time as far as Mia was concerned. Not to mention a good way to meet new people as the new girl in town. Which…was part of the reason for clubs in the first place, actually. At least it seemed to be working! There were more interesting thing than speculating on why extracurricular clubs are so encouraged but Yuuki's suggestion was much more curious. "Do you do much singing, Gouriki-san?" She was impressed, perhaps a bit envious She just was not a creature designed to make music. Still, it was fascinating learning about the various aspects of that. Or, maybe he's just played more than his fair share of female roles? More than he'd care to, given his desire to not be one of the girls in the scene they just did? |

"Singing? No, I'm not in the choir or anything." Singing was towards a very definite 'no' from past experience with voice cracks. Having a tune so ingrained in his head that he repeated along with the lyrics was NOT singing, because Yuuki never did that in public. No, just at home, in the privacy of the bed or bathroom as it was normally done. And even then if his father wasn't home yet. "Are there certain elements of music I appreciate? Yes." Huh. Not something Yuuki admitted to often but said in a matter of fact way that didn't suggest anything beyond the statement itself. |

Aleph shrugged as Yuuki denied having much of anything to do with singing. "Well, that's a shame." He said. "You certainly look like somebody who would kinda enjoy doing some singing and stuff like that." Aleph didn't know what would be so embarrassing about singing. To him, it was all about pouring your heart out and doing what you enjoyed in front of a shitload of people. "What is it about music that you like, then?" Aleph asked the other boy. |

"Ah, I see. I'd love to sing if I can, or even play an instrument. I'm not very musical either." She smiled in sympathy. Mia in fact didn't even sing in the shower. it just never occurred to her to try when she was normally in there. The conversation went on, and she had more than enough of both of the two boys to realize she liked them. If Drama Club was nothing more than a chance to socialize with them? That was good. The fact that she got to kick up her heels and really be in her element was the best. In the end, it seemed their club meeting would be over before their conversation was. Mia would have loved to invite the two out to talk more, but schedules being what they were, and hers being no different…well, she'd just have had to remember to take it up next time. |
