She slumped a littler further down the counter, feet inching out more for support. It was an odd sensation, the coolness of the alley with the warmth from the noodle kitchen behind. Iseya thought about it for a moment. They hadn't really met...well, talked like this before. Nagashima was big enough to avoid people but there were only so many schools and Seiji probably assumed they were close in age. Still, she'd never been native. "Define new. I've been here over a year or so." |

"I'm trying to see if you go to my school. Taiyotono High. Don't really socialize much with people from other schools, so who knows?" He shrugged his shoulders, then perked up when the bowls were being served. He had an idea of what he wanted for toppings, but kind of wondered what she would pick, if anything. The issues were as tied to his school as to be more or less synonymous. If she didn't go there she probably wouldn't have expected a visit from the glowing butterfly. If that were the case, he were a bit envious. Her chances of getting murdered by someone's mental issues given life or getting involved with the affairs of superpowered sociopaths was non-existant. "Well, at the risk of sounding more and more like a player? I think I'd have remembered seeing a girl like you around otherwise, is what I'm getting at." Just what was he getting at exactly? He wasn't sure. There was something interesting about Inari so he talked, and he asked questions. He honestly wanted to know more about the girl though he had to be somewhat guarded with what he shared in return. So getting her to talk about herself was a safe bet, wasn't it? |

"Well don't plague your inquisitive brain any longer, I don't go to school." She breathed deeply after that. Well, why not? It was then her naked noodles came and she realized she had to eat naked noodles. "Keep up with the questions and it's only fair I ask you some of my own," Iseya said, before bringing a bundle of noodles to her mouth to slurp on. |

"I guess that's fair, yeah." He glanced over at her rather bare bowl before he turned to his own. Yeah, he was sure she had some sort of dietary restriction. If he was relegated to tofu and not much else, he'd wanna go out and raise hell later too. She also didn't go to school? Well, that made sense in a way. It wouldn't have surprised him if most of the people who roamed around the backstreets at that time of night didn't go to school. Why should Inari have been any different? As for the questions? Well, he didn't wanna answer any if he could have helped it, but if it was truly unavoidable he just have to make something up? |

After too bites the texture and flavor of the noodles suggested that she could digest this without gross things happening so there was a plus. Broths were going to be the biggest downfall to watch for if she ate here again. One-to-one question trading. She could work that. Iseya watched the cook walk off to another nightly task before speaking. "Alright, seriously, what do you have a bunch of weapons for? But!" The last noodle was slurped down her throat, "if you can't tell me why at least tell me where you get them from." |

"Protection. I carry them around for protection. I thought I mentioned that already." He added, rather glibly. Telling her where he got the weapon was sadly totally out of the question. "So, instead of going to school, what do you do then, Iseya-san?" He'd have to answer another question for that, but he wasn't able to help his curiosity. |

Her brow furrowed in a cross line as she checked again to make sure they wouldn't be overheard. "Bullshit. I'll give you, maybe, the sword as a pretty good deterant during the night but you're likely to get into many public places with a sword at your belt. A crossbow isn't something you use to keep muggers at bay. You need the intent and the time to preapre to use it. So don't tell me you scare people off by saying 'I've got a crossbow in my bag and I'm not afraid to use it.' " Her forehead softened as Iseya sucked up more noodles out of the bowl. "I hang out, do what I want, and keep dogging after people that catch my interest especially if they're lying to me." She gave him a neutral if mirthless smile. |

"Okay, okay. Sorry." He evidently struck a nerve, and he got the point, he wasn't going to get rid of her until he gave her a good reason not to. So, what then? Would it have been better to lose out a little if it meant she'd get out of his hair a bit after he declared his friends 'stood him up?' That was certainly what it was looking like. "Well if you really wanna know, I got these made at Ichiban Metalworks, ask for Naoya." He was sure if he explained his situation as soon as possible to Naoya, he'd understand, right? |

"That's better," Iseya said, barely stoppering a small laugh. The full picture wasn't clear yet but if there was a way that someone could get a weapon at the metalworks, might they possibly...? She decided not to ask the question although the old thrill reared its head again, despite how much of an impossibility it was. "You're cooler than you appear, Seiji-kun." By this time all the levity was gone from her voice. "Whatever your reasons for it you must be getting good, yeah?" She paused in eating to toy with the noodles, raising up the clumps to watch the strands fall back in the bowl. |

"Heh, if you say so…" Seiji? Cool? The words were never married, save with the word 'not' between them. But at least that meant she was happy again. And that was probably a great cue to quit while he was ahead. "Damn, looks like I've been stood up." By now it was a bit late for training. "Guess I'll go home now…" He grumbled. He paid for both their meals, a bowl of plain noodles was not gonna breakt the bank, and afterwards prepared to go. "Good meeting you though, Isaya." |
