Aleph ate another onigiri as Jiro recalled his story involving him, his maid, a box of lunch, and the beret girl. He chuckled when Jiro gave his nickname for the beret girl. Beret Bitch. Hahahaha! Where does he come up with shit like this? When Jiro finished the story, Aleph sighed. "That must have sucked for a moment, didn't it? Why do people gotta be so damn cynical sometimes? It's super depressing." Aleph said exasperatedly, then smiled. "But at least you were able to defend you and your maid's honors, Jiro-kun! And I'm proud of you for that." Of course, Aleph was there too, but that was obvious. Aleph bit triumphantly into the delicious rice ball, smiling confidently. |

Naoya said nothing at Jiro's recounting of events or Aleph's congratulating him on it. His expression betrayed the immense fatigue that he felt. Much of it was left over from his impromptu nap earlier, but some of it was from how his two friends were behaving in response to events. Serizawa-san seemed like the sort of person who would provide positive reinforcement for any behavior that he was exposed to, provided it was from a friend, and Jiro seemed to just be an angry sort, though Naoya hadn't seen that previously -- simply his penchant for blunt-force solutions. He glanced over at Hanako. "I ain't sure about th' ratio 'f rice t' balsamic vinegar, t' be completely honest. Seems t' be leanin' a bit too much t'ward's th' former, but my sense 'f it's all blown to hell 'cause 'f how much picklin' I do 't home." He grabbed one of the capresce and slid it whole into his mouth, then started chewing. |

Hanako sampled some of the food Naoya most graciously offered. Her palate wasn't any more significantly refined than her friend had. It tasted fine to her, she'd not have complained about the balance. After chewing it and swallowing however? She probably did have a couple of complaints: None about the food though. She nodded along, not in a way that indicated she agreed with it, merely comprehended. After he and Serizawa spoke, she said her piece. "So, the thing that started this was that you forgot your lunch. Your maid brought if for you, and I imagine it was an inconvenience for her 'cause she came and left in a big hurry." That was the start. "So, from there, She?" She turns to Naoya, to confirm he seemed to know more than anyone else. She wasn't even going to get into the annoying alpha-male implication of using a vaguely feminine insult even if it was a guy beneath the beret. She just wanted to be sure. "So, she has something to say about it. And you don't just blow off her opinion, it starts a big altercation which is a headache for at least three people now? Did I get that correctly, Takenaka-san?" To her, it sounded like a giant pain in the ass that could have easily been avoided, really… |

Jiro shook his head. "Nah. People can't talk shit about my buddies or people that I treat with respect like that." He swung an arm out gesturing to Aleph and Naoya. "So I don't know why the hell Beret couldn't keep his mouth shut. Just that I couldn't let someone get away with that. And besides, Konami didn't seem inconvenienced...more sad that i forgot than anything really. Kind of weird." |

Aleph ate yet another onigiri as the conversation continued. Hanako seemed somewhat put off by the whole story--either that or Aleph's response--and Jiro seemed somewhat adamant into defending his two best friends, Aleph and Naoya. Naoya, on the other hand, still seemed exasperated by the whole thing. "It must be kinda nice, having a maid around, huh Jiro-kun?" Aleph asked. "Though, I kinda understand why people might get the wrong idea sometimes. What with all the maid cafes, and cosplay, and anime, and manga and all that shit. But still, can it be helped?" Why don't you have maid, Master? You suck. You'd only want me to hire one just so you could make me seduce her and shit like that. Aw come on~ What, you afraid she won't like you? Just shut up. Oh, how Adonis was just a real pervert sometimes. |

"Yeah, uh...she, her, et cetera," Naoya said, in response to Hanako and as a follow-up to what Jiro was saying. Then added, dubiously, "I think. Ain't like I'm goin' t' ask 'r check 'r nothing. None o' my business." He looked back down at his lunch and began to slowly eat his pickled vegetables with a pair of disposable chopsticks. This was a bit much, and he didn't really want to get too deep into school yard politics: ironic, given the organizations he had decided to join. "Well, look, 't's all done, now, 'n' th' best course 'f action 's t' take a different approach in th' future." |

"Still, you could find some way to defend honor without making a scene. At least you could try being civil first next time…" That was really all there was to say about that. "Oh, anyways, Naoya? Great job. It's not everyday you get treated to something like this! I'm really grateful!" Couldn't they just have a nice, quiet lunch without incident? That was too much ask for, wasn't it? |

"Yeah but...you know what? No." Really, arguing over this stupid bullshit wasn't worth his time. So instead he continued to dig in to the remainders of his lunch. |

Aleph began to ate the last onigiri as the conversation carried on. Aleph thought about what Hanako said. In hindsight, what Jiro did was pretty much overkill, even if it was for his maid's own good. Granted, Aleph jumping into the fray without thinking was also overkill. Well, it wasn't like people knew you for being the smartest person in the world. Aleph shrugged and continued eating the last of his food. Arguing further about things like this was going to get them nowhere, so what was the point in even trying? |

"Thank y' very much," Naoya said to Hanako with a smile. Something would have to be done about Jiro's behavior. That temper was bound to land him in trouble sooner or later. A plan began to form, but it was something that would have to finish coming together later. Lunch was bound to end in the near future, given how much time they had wasted with that argument. |
