Places Kyo is being Kyo at, in vaguelishly chronological order

Current issue of concern that Kyo is too silly in the head to resolve without outside intervention:

As you all know, Kyo is in her senior year at high school. This means she should be getting ready for college! And exams in Japan are slightly bigger than they are over here in America. As in "you actually don't learn everything you need to pass entrance exams during your previous years of school" bigger. So there are three things Kyo should really be doing right now:

- studying for the upcoming high school exams
- attending some sort of cram school for her college entrance exams
- talking to her mother about college expenses (and cram school expenses, at that)

But with all the Social Linking stuff she's doing and the running around meddling in people's problems and stuff Kyo involves herself in, do you think she's doing any of that? ...Nope, nope, and ahahaha >implying Kyo talks to her mother about anything

Kyo is confident in her ability to absorb and retain information, and for the most part she's gotten by on that alone since starting up in high school, but that's not enough to excel, just enough to survive. So, a little something for Kyo's friends to keep in mind when they talk to her, assuming they're in contact with her enough to know what she's been up to on a daily basis.

Recently getting into her first actual metaplot-related thing has prompted Kyo to re-think her position on Nagashima's real troubles somewhat. Anyone who has a character that might want to talk to her about this and who might be at school during athletic club hours might consider joining this thread. I'd like at least two, but characters that I definitely don't want involved due to her being involved in other threads with them or having other planned threads with those characters are:

- Naoya Imoto (a thread with him should be happening soon)
- Isoroku Mayoi (just got done with Bleached Out)
- Hiroko Tachibana (still have a thread in progress with him)
- Akira Serizawa (planning a Kyo/Aleph/Hanako thing already)
- Hanako Ito (see above)
- Nana Samurakami (still have a thread in progress with her)

I'm looking for two players to join (not two characters, two players; multiple characters per player is fine). The only conditions are: 1) they should have something of worth to say about the forum metaplot, and 2) Kyo has to already know that they are a Persona-user.

This is in the OP, but the timing of the thread in question is after school on the day athletic clubs meet, during club hours. Characters who would actually and unerringly be in club might not make sense at this point. Kyo should technically be attending Archery at the time this thread takes place, but she's avoiding it again because drama.

So yeah. Any takers?

We are in a lot of threads together.

And that's great.

But, it also means unless you get no takers at all? I'm gonna sit this one out. In the even you need folks? I will work in an excuse for Seiji to show up, though.

You don't need to go out of your way to explain why you don't want to be in yet another thread with me, dude. >_>;;

Having conquered her personal issues for the time being and ascended, Kyo is turning her focus toward trying to make Nagashima better for everyone--her primary goal being to put an end to whatever probability-warping, Shadow-stuff-spewing bullshit lurks beneath the surface in the ruins. Having thought it over, however, Kyo has come to believe that Nagashima as it currently stands is an impediment to "team unity," with its constant roiling conflicts and crimes and people wanting to do something about it. To that end she wants to take steps to bring Persona-users together and, hopefully, to make the city upstairs a safe place to be. The less trouble there is to deal with topside, after all, the more Persona-users can focus on the core of the issue.

She's decided that setting up a neighborhood watch organization--an actual legitimate one, as opposed to the gang front that the other green-haired Osakan put together--is the best way to go about this. Her hope is that it will give Persona-users a common cause to work for even outside of the ruins, and hopefully a single organization that the community can trust, but she also hopes to recruit non-Persona-using citizens into the group, the ideal result being a legitimate city-wide "neighborhood association" or chōnaikai.

In order to make this goal (which currently exists in the form of a vague mental sketch only) a reality, she needs the following:

  • A core group of Persona-users willing to dedicate their time to helping make the group work, with preference toward level-headed individuals that are both competent and patient. Organizational and leadership abilities are preferred, as is charisma, but considering most of Kyo's candidates are teenagers going through a neverending torrent of psychodrama, it's likely she'll have to do some very picky scouting to find people who fit this criteria.
  • Police backing. This begins at getting a go-ahead from the powers that be, but Kyo hopes she'll be able to work with the police to ensure that her recruits can all receive proper training in the base skills a neighborhood watch requires, and working with the police to make sure the group has all the information it can get about what it's up against. In turn, the organization would be able to support and cooperate with police efforts and make law enforcement easier.
  • Funding. Since it wouldn't be a cheap endeavor, Kyo needs to figure out a way to get the capital she needs to enable the group to actually do things.
  • Recruits. A neighborhood watch can't consist of only a handful of people and still cover the whole city. Kyo will need to find a way make her idea look promising enough to others that they'll actually volunteer to help.

Other matters she hopes to address with this group that are exclusive to Persona-users are:

  • Establishing a procedure for dealing with Persona-user criminals that can't be handled by vanilla law enforcement.
  • Establishing an active support network to compliment the existing Bedlam Blotter distress call app, so that quick responses and rescues can be guaranteed when needed.
  • Discouraging vigilantism, particularly in new, fresh-off-the-butterfly-bucket Persona-users who may not fully understand the ramifications of their actions. In the long-term, Kyo hopes that this organization can eliminate the perceived need for vigilantism, including the need for anti-hate-group vigilantes such as the Archangels.

There are a number of ways this sort of organization can apply itself to better the city in both the short term and the long-term--if it gets off the ground. But will it, or is Kyo just enjoying a pipe dream that's doomed to never be? You decide! Kind of. She won't be able to do it by herself, that's for sure.

Kyo is looking for people to accompany her into the ruins in order to Full Analyze Shadows for their information and also to photograph them, hoping to put together a helpful bestiary for the Bedlam forums. It might get a bit dicey when she goes into the deeper areas.

For this task she will need volunteers who possess the Full Analysis ability, as well as combat support of varying power levels--if she goes looking for low-level Shadows with high-level users, they'll just run away! And if she goes looking for high-level Shadows with low-level users, the wrong side of the fight will probably die. It's an ambitious endeavor that will likely need more than just one battle party's worth of volunteers...

See Bedlam topic "Shadow Safari!" for more information.

Kyo has requested a police officer specifically to come to the ruins to handle the matter of her accidentally killing Toru Motou while he was wandering the ruins in Monster Form. The exact reasons for Toru being in the ruins at the time are as yet unknown, but there are signs that he was suffering from Hoculus prior to his death.

This request is open to any and all police characters that might respond to the Blotter. Multiple officers joining is also permissible. Since I won't be consistently here, don't bother confirming it with me, just work out with each other who wants to join and who doesn't so you don't step on each other's toes and I'll be fine with whoever.
