This time, Isoroku also took out her phone and started typing the response to Kyo. After she's done, she showed the screen to Kyo. i guess we still have no choice but to continue on our mission is to keep kinzaki's dad safe and also to track down any spies and stuff Then, Isoroku decided to break the silence. "Kyo, is it alright if you stay here? Your Persona won't cause trouble to you?" she asked, concerned about her best friend's condition. Meanwhile, Kiyo remained silent. |

Kyo nodded and shrugged, slipping her phone away. There wasn't anything left to say that she didn't want the bugs to pick up, so she just switched over to speaking frankly. "Yeah, I'll be fine," she said. "Nevan's screamin' for Reina's stupid, greedy head on a pike, but she don't ever really--y'know--try t' take over unless I'm exhausted. I'll hafta get back t' town every couple o' days t' drain someone, but otherwise I'll be fine. You'll just hafta cover for me when I'm out, yeah?" She reached over and gave Isoroku a light pat on the back. "Well, you're stronger'n I am anyways. I might see if one o' the others has time t' fill in for me, too, when I ain't here, t'give ya some backup... we'll see." |

"Yes, of course," Isoroku smiled at Kyo. She knew that Kyo would always watch her back, and in return, she would do the same to her too. Then, Kiyo stopped in front of the guest room, where both Kyo and Isoroku would be staying at for the time being. "This will be your room," Kiyo told both girls. "Is there anything else?" she asked. "Umm... I guess we need to return home to get our stuff," Isoroku said, glancing at Kyo. "Right, Kyo?" |

Kyo scratched her head, frowning. "Yeah, I kinda rushed out without packin'," she muttered sheepishly. "Let's... go one at a time, though. That way one of us is here just in case." The green-haired girl put her hands in her pockets and sighed, looking to Kiyo. "Other'n that, nothing. Thanks, and, well, we didn't really talk back then, but it's good t' see ya again. From the park, right? The day I first met her..." She felt a twinge in her chest when she said it and sighed, stepping into the room. "For now--actually, Isoroku? I think we should ask someone t' drop stuff off for us. I dunno if it's just my anxiety, but, I feel really itchy about leavin' here even for a little while. I'd rather be safe than sorry." |

"Agreed," Isoroku nodded. She also felt anxious about leaving this place, because they still needed to keep Hajime safe. "So, who's gonna get our stuff?" she asked. She thought about asking for her boyfriend to do that, but she wanted to know Kyo's opinion first. Kiyo bowed slightly when the green-haired girl acknowledge her presence. "It is good to see you again too, Charinko-san..." she said. "Please call me if you need anything. I shall be leaving now..." And so, the bodyguard left. |

"Well just about the only person I trust with my underwear drawer'd be Hiroko, since he sees it all the time anyways and y'know, lives there, but I'm a bit dicey about lettin' him know about this..." she mumbled. "I could just say it's a sleepover, but... it could take a while, and... lyin' t' Hiro-kun ain't somethin' I wanna do." She paused. "The fact that he usedta sorta have a crush on Kinzaki might make it complicated, too... er... I dunno," she said uncertainly. "Maybe I'll ask Chika--? No, she... can't come alone anyway." Pause. "Maybe I'll tell Hiroko t' pack a bag and bully Spencer inta bein' my pack mule. Lord knows that overgrown manchild can afford taxi fare," Kyo sighed. "In any case..." She turned toward Isoroku. "Your boyfriend can take care of himself and keep a cool head in a crisis, so if y'want him t' do it, or t'be involved in helpin' get Kinzaki back, that's up t'you," she said. "I need t' think a bit about Hiroko. Not sure whether--whether it's smart to..." Kyo trailed off, sending an annoyed glance toward the wall. She didn't feel comfortable talking about personal things like Hiroko's mental condition with someone like Reina possibly listening in. Was this room bugged, too? God dammit, this was annoying. "...Well, I'll figure it out. Don't worry 'bout it." |

"W-well..." Isoroku scratched her cheek. "Kakeru-kun has his own issues, so I doubt he's going to get himself involved in this. But I think I'm gonna ask him to bring my stuff here..." then, she chuckled a bit. "Provided that he's not lost..." Then, the part-time model sighed. "But really...?" she said as she observed the provided room. The room was definitely bigger than hers back at her apartment, with big bed and everything. She went towards the bed and sat on it. "I never thought we're gonna get involved in this kind of thing..." "And here I thought rich people never have this kind of issues..." she said in an uncharacteristically sardonic manner. |

"Aintcha ever seen a period drama...?" Kyo asked blandly, walking into the room, turning around as she reached the bed, and flopping herself right back down onto the cushy mattress, closing her eyes. "Read a political book, maybe? Rich folks always have all kindsa issues. And even when they don't, it's bitch, bitch, moan, whine. Oh, my taxes are like, so high... tch. And then if ya try'n say anything against 'em or complain about your own lot if you're poor, they go all, well you just aren't workin' hard enough. Which is bullshit. I ain't gonna understate the work it takes t' run a company, but it takes a lot more t' work your way up than it does t' stay up top once you're there." Kyo opened her eyes and glowered at the ceiling. "People who're born inta money don't get what it's like not t'be. What's it's like t'be stuck in a situation like Ken's, or Ayane's, or, or Nana's or those other kids she's rounded up," he said. "It's easy t' judge when ya got no concept of why, and it's easy t' be greedy when ya have no concept o' what the rest o' the world has t' live like." The green-haired girl turned a look toward Isoroku, giving her friend a lopsided smile. "See, I really didn't like Kinzaki at first," she said. "Before I talked to her, I mean. Just sorta thought she'd be the sorta person who judged like that. And well, it's not somethin' I like t' say, but the fact that she uses her pull t' be allowed t' waltz around school in a kimono, or so her butler can run around in a suit the whole time? It didn't really do much t' discourage that idea. I mean, Aleksandria and Machi and them, the other rich girls, they all wear the uniforms same's us, right? So I thought maybe she was worse than the others." She shrugged. "I know better now, o' course, but... first impressions, yeah?" Kyo sighed, and closed her eyes. "Reina, though, she's definitely worse. The scum o' the Earth..." |

Isoroku smiled back. "Well, when I first met her, my first thought about her was that she's sheltered," then she chuckled. "And while Kinzaki is mostly nice, she can be pretty bossy sometimes. I guess she can't help herself..." she recalled the first time she met the heiress. Granted, the first time she met her, she was Jun Kariyama. Then she nodded. "And that... I have to agree. I can't even believe that both Kinzaki and Reina are related..." she said. "Sometimes, it makes me wonder if one's personality is affected by one's blood and family..." she looked down. "What if... Kinzaki grows up to be like Reina too?" she suggested a 'what-if' situation to Kyo. "They have the same kind of upbringing, right? Is there any other factor that can turn a person into someone like Reina?" |

Kyo sighed, the smile slipping off her face. "Upbringing's a thing," she said. "Friends're a thing. Outside influences are a thing. And some people, like me, just wind up being rebels without any real cause for it. People're complicated as fuck, y'know? Can't sum 'em up so easy as that." The green-haired girl shrugged. "Bossy's easy t' figure out, though," she said. "She's usedta havin' people under her, usedta getting what she wants, mostly, and well, on toppa that, she's also literally being raised t' be a boss. 'Bossy' kinda comes with the territory." |
