Iemoto swallowed a zucchini fritter that he'd previously dipped into the thick, spicy sauce and chewed on it slowly, a smll grin finding its way ot his lips as he savored the alliance between the crispyness and the sauce's taste. "Well... I wasn't planning on it, but I think I'm gonna make this night my weekly holiday. Wouldn't be a good idea to go in the Ruins with a stomach so full. That's the kind of thing that gets you killed before you even realize it." he said, his eyes looking up for a few instants when Kyo mentioned her financial problems.

"You know, sometimes..." he started, wondering whether or not it'd be a good idea to start talking about the particular subject that he had in mind. "...I think about going back to live in my parents's house. It's bigger. Prettier. Comfier, as well. But there's too much past in there. Too many images and memories. Too many ghosts." His last visit to this house... it had been a couple of months ago, and it's ended with him hallucinating his Shadow in the most vivid of manners and waking up to find that he'd absorbed four boxes of drugs. Not the most thoroughly pleasant of experiences.

His eyes trailed off for an instant, but he focused them back on the green-haired girl before him. "This meal can be on me, if you want. I wouldn't mind." he proposed.

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
Kyo nodded at Iemoto when he said going to the ruins on a full stomach was a bad idea. "Yeeeaaah, most days I save the big eatin' for post-ruins celebratin', y'know?" she said. "There's a good number o' places that're open late nights, too. Gotta cater t' the nightlife, y'know? ...By which I mean overnight workers n' shit, and not, well, the other kinda nightlife."

Iemoto went on to talk about his parents' house, then, and she felt her easy smile fading as she listened, respectfully silent. She didn't think it was a good idea to dwell on these things if he was on edge, but if he was talking about it of his own volition, he obviously wanted to get some of it out of his system. "I can see that," she said softly. "If y'feel stayin' away's the best thing t'do, then that's what ya should do. It's better t' move on from the past than constantly swim in it, after all. Easier t' do that away from the place it happened."

She considered Iemoto's offer, the look on her face saying she wanted to decline. "Aaaaah... I am a bit short on cash right now," she admitted reluctantly. "Alright. But just this once. And I owe ya a meal here some other time when I've got a bit more money on hand, yeah? Thanks."

"Eh. My usual ruins celebration menu is instant noodles, 'cause I'm usually too beat to prepare anything else. And goddamn, instant noodles can be a real feast when you need something to fill your stomach right up." Iemoto replied with a grin as he took a bite of salad. Nagashima's nightlife was a foreign subject to him, so he didn't comment on that.

If he ever got back into his parents' house, it wouldn't be alone - god, when his mother would wake up, he was pretty certain to have one hell of a time cleaning up all the dust.

He gave Kyo a thumbs-up, along with a nod. "Seems like we got ourselves a deal, then." he said with a smile.

Kyo returned the thumbs up. "Hold me to it, okay? Lotsa stuff's always happenin', I might forget," she said, her grin a bit strained.

From there... eating was done. Small talk was had. And it was pretty good. Kyo made a point to stuff herself silly by the end of it, because... well, it was an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

She just had to get the most bang for her buck! Yen, even. Getting your money's worth is important, you know?
