"I did !" Iemoto replied somewhat enthusiastically - a game about surgery ? His younger self would have never let the opportunity to play such a thing go past him. They were pretty nice game, even though the surgery in them had been simplified to make it doable for untrained hands - they were only arcade-ey games, after all. "I only ever played the DS games, but they were pretty fun in their own right. Dunno what the Wii ones are worth, honestly, but I can at least recommend these two." the boy added. |

"I dunno, though, it doesn't seem like the sorta thing that'd be good for a videogame," Kyo said dubiously, rubbing at her temples a bit. "How's it work? I guess it's prolly one o' those really story-heavy things, too, considerin' the same company that made Catherine did that series." Kyo chuckled. "This ain't somethin' I show around much, but I sorta like puzzle games," she admitted. "I got myself a pretty good brain upstairs, so I like t' give it a bit o' exercise from time t' time. I'm not a pro or nothin' but there's satisfaction in figurin' stuff out." Pause. "Hate Tetris, though. Blaargh..." |

"Pretty sure you could put anything in a video game as long as you streamline it enough. Yeah, it's pretty story-heavy, and the gameplay's mostly you cutting and sewing back and this kind of stuff. The stylus lends itself well to this kind of thing, so the gameplay works for the most part." Iemoto replied, giving a nod of the head. "I don't play them much, but these can be relaxing, I guess. I prefer to... enjoy a story and an atmosphere, perhaps. Good gameplay's a plus, of course. I played Dark Souls some time ago - it's got pretty good gameplay, but the ambiance's pretty breathtaking." |

Kyo's eyes went deadpan, and she sighed. "As long as ya streamlined it enough without makin' a David Cage game, sure," she said. "That's--ah, it's Western, y'prolly might not know it. David Cage. Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, and a buncha other games that are massive quick-time event festival movie-things." The green-haired girl shrugged, and then said, "Ain't got around t' Dark Souls, or t' a lotta other things since awakenin', actually. My backlog's only been gettin' bigger and bigger lately. After exams I plan t' just lock myself in my apartment for two weeks, lock my boyfriend out, and spend the whole time doin' nothin' but playin' games I ain't played yet. Sleep will be optional." |

David Cage ? Iemoto'd never heard of the guy, probably because his interest for Western games was limited to horror games. "Sounds strange. Guess it's the kind of thing that'd need to work very well for it not to be garbage. From what you're saying, they don't seem to work very well." he replied with a small laugh. "Don't got much of a backlog, myself. I generally try to make sure I finish every game I buy... My tastes are peculiar enough for me not get overrun with too many games to play." the boy added. |

"Heh, well, it's not so much a backlog as, I wasn't able t' have many games back in Osaka, so I had t' pass over a few," Kyo said. And then, rubbing at the back of her head: "And here in Nagashima, I'm always gettin' mixed up in this and that and the other. Between tryin' t' save lives, figure stuff out, kill monsters, and save kidnappin' victims, there just ain't as much time for gamin' as I like. Cripes, I'm gonna let the part o' my life where I actually have free time pass me by if I keep this up, heh..." Kyo didn't bother going into why David Cage games weren't very good. Her feelings on the matter weren't that strong. They were just really bland and not very well written, really... combine that with "artsy fartsy" and some people got real passionate about the subject. Kyo, for her part, would rather have spent her time doing something she liked than complaining about something she didn't. "I've finished most o' the stuff I own, 'cept the RPGs, some o' those are a bit time-consumin' and I ain't found the time t' chew through 'em yet," Kyo admitted. "Right now the only game I really feel like gettin' is Bayonetta 2, but I ain't got the system yet... and I ain't sure when I'll be able t' splurge." |

"Yeah, I know that feeling. Sometimes I'm wondering if I'm not making my work worse by not taking some time for myself more often..." Iemoto replied - there was the part about wasting the years of his life that should have been free of much responsibility and full of the joys of youth as well, but... Nothing awaits you beyond these years. Are you foolish enough to believe that everything will change once an arbitrary point in your life will be behind you ? Time doesn't change people. It makes them wiser. You are merely becoming wiser, and that beast within you is still lurking around, waiting for an opportunity to strike. That deep, raspy voice - this had been his Shadow, unmistakeably. The boy noticeably cringed at this moment - that thing was behind him, he was sure he'd felt its cold, cutting breath on the nape of his neck... He then realized that Kyo had said something, and he stuttered an answer. "S-sorry, what were you saying ? I just got a visit from... it." |

Kyo noticed Iemoto's cringe, and frowned, almost imperceptibly. Something in his head going on that he didn't like--a familiar situation for her, whose Persona often said things she wasn't comfortable with, and whose Shadow had appeared to her so frequently before the switch. And then he confirmed it, she nodded a bit, and shrugged. "Didn't say anythin' important," Kyo turned her eyes forward again, and put her hands in her pockets. "Figured that was it. Lord knows my Shadow showed up more'n enough times for me t' tell when somethin's up with someone else." Kyo shrugged her shoulders and said, "If y'wanna talk about it, we can talk about it. Did it have somethin' t'do with what ya just said? Things like these're usually triggered by things, so..." |

Iemoto massaged his temples with the tip of his fingers, a rather somber expression on his pale features - goddamn, that thing had given him one hell of a headache, and one hell of a irony taste in his mouth. Wait, an irony taste ? A bead of blood formed on his lips, and the boy spat on the sidewalk - he'd gritted his teeth so suddenly, Iemoto had accidentally bitten a small chunk of the inside of cheek right off. Nothing too important, but he he became aware of the pain as he was about to reply to Kyo's question - and trying to talk with blood running down your chin was awkward, didn'tcha know. "No, my mind drifted... somewhere it shouldn't have for a moment, I suppose." he replied, pointing further down the street. "The restaurant's just here." |

"Alright, if y'say so," Kyo said, with a light shrug, picking up the pace of her walk when Iemoto indicated their destination. She turned her eyes to it and recognized the place as one of the restaurants that Masumi occasionally worked at... but not on this day of the week. Kyo and Masumi had met up after work a few times, though, when Kyo's shift at Sweet Dolls ended, and walked partway home together... ...Masumi had told her all about her run-in with Nana and the drug-dealing pimp with smokescreen bombs the last time they'd lucked out with their shifts like that. That had been awkward; Masumi had seemed to be under the impression that Kyo didn't know what sort of things Nana got up to with that gang of hers, that she was giving Kyo some kind of vital warning. Brushing that memory aside, Kyo tilted her head back and glowered at the sky. If she were like Masumi, she would have been able to just Dia whatever cut Iemoto had accidentally given himself right away. "I won't act like it's the end o' the world, but are y'gonna be okay eatin'? Didja bite your tongue or somethin'?" Kyo asked, giving Iemoto a look a mild concern. It certainly would have been silly to act like it was the end of the world, considering how much blood and injury Persona-users tended to see on a regular basis. Still, there was no reason to shortsell the "annoying" class of injury, either. A cut inside one's mouth was certainly annoying. |
