"Alright. We need to cross the street now, then." Iemoto said - he was heading for that little all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant he'd invited Shizuka to before she'd moved away from the city. A nice little restaurant, that one, but he'd have to limit himself if he wanted to feel light enough to be in a decent state to fight. Goddamn, that was frustrating. "I don't think I know him, in fact. Well, here's to hoping I get to meet him someday soon." The owners of the restaurant he was heading towards wouldn't have this kind of chat, for sure. "Never ate Mexican, to be honest. I always go for either the Japanese stuff of the american junk food if I don't have time for anything else." |

"Heh, well, same here, really," Kyo said with a sheepish grin, diverting for the crosswalk when Iemoto did. "It's kinda weird 'cause when I cook, I'm interested in tryin' all sortsa things. But when I'm not actually doin' that myself, I just go for the shit I know I like. But it makes me feel a bit guilty, if that makes any sense. If people like me always do that, who's gonna try all the complicated shit cookin' enthusiasts do?" Kyo stretched as she cross the road, once behind her back and then again over her head, arching her back both times and letting out a somewhat unladylike groan. "God, I feel stiff," she said. "At home I just sorta sit around watchin' stuff, then in class it's more sittin'. I'm gonna rot away if I don't get some real exercise soon. I'll turn into a blob o' pure boredness. Ain't really usedta sittin' still so much, y'know?" |

"Well, I guess it's the fact that you don't wanna gobble down something you don't like when you don't have a lot of time to eat. Besides, there's just something so attractive about the prospect of a burger with fries, isn't it ? In any case, don't feel too bad about that." Iemoto replied, just shaking his head - goddamn, now he'd have to eat a nice burger sometimes in the near future to fulfill the craving he was going to have for junk food. He gave a nod. "I'm sure you'll get all the exercise you need once you resume our patrols with us. Even if we don't go toe-to-toe with anyone, it's always a nice workout." |

"Yeah, well..." Kyo said, shrugging. "Point. Time's a thing. Time's always a thing, there just ain't enough hours in the day, y'know?" The girl wound up one of her arms, frowning. Patrols. Yeah, when she resumed patrols. When she resumed the patrolling that might have been the difference between those two kids murdered by that pig-mask-wearing bastard living or not, if she'd been out there at the time. Damn it. And it was usually her patrol around that area, too; Kyo had insisted, because she didn't want anyone else potentially running afoul of Nana in the course of Archangel duty, or, maybe, she didn't want Nana running afoul of them. One way or the other, it might have happened while she was there, if she'd been out patrolling in the first place. Kyo felt doubly responsible, in fact, since Aleksandria's quiet retreat to Russia to sort out her entanglements with her father's company. Aleks was trusting them--and by extension, Kira and Kyo, the two among their number she was closest to--to pick up the slack while she was gone and, essentially, not to leave the stove on and burn the house down or something. Letting something slip through the cracks like that, even if it wasn't technically Archangel jurisdiction to deal with... And that wasn't even counting the Black Hoods, who they'd made no real progress trying to stop. Tch... things were so much easier when the bad guys had made an almighty ruckus every time they did something mwa-ha-ha evil. Why did they have to decide to start being sneaky, eh? Assholes. "I'm lookin' forward to it," she said, with a bit less enthusiasm than she usually would have. Then, in a quieter voice: "Can't help wonderin' how much good it'll do us, though. We're usedta jumpin' in on mob violence, not secret agent stealth murders." |

"There ain't enough hours in the day, ever." Iemoto replied, nodding his head. Or perhaps there were enough hours in the day, or perhaps even too many - he could have done with a few hours less every day, probably... Well, he dropped that line of thinking right afterwards, focusing on the matter of Kyo's return to the group. "Well, if we manage to get through that one unharmed, that would confirm that we really are a force the community can count on, right ? I say, things will go smoothly if we keep being prudent. But yeah, I admit that these guys are a real cut above the thugs we're used to facing." he said, looking at the ground thoughtfully. |

"...I'm not worried about us," Kyo said simply. Lowering her voice a little bit more, she went on: "I'm worried about the people they go after. They're quiet, cunning, and by the time there's even a ruckus for us t' follow, odds are the victim's dead and they're gone from the scene. But also, if they've got a scanner on their side and we do interfere, who's t' say they can't identify us or our Personas and come after us some other time? The whole thing's just... I don't even know, man..." Kyo ran a hand through her hair, and then shook her head. "Eh, this ain't somethin' we can talk out right now, anyway," she said distractedly, casting an annoyed look around at the street and the other pedestrians. "We'll all talk about it when we meet up later, I guess. Where's that place y'were talkin' 'bout, again?" |

"Right." Iemoto replied, nodding his head at Kyo's remark. "That's kinda why we're wearing helmets, though. Knowing our Personae won't do 'em much good if they, well, don't know who we are in the first place. That ended this particular part of the conversation, and the boy simply showed the street ahead with his chin after Kyo asked him a question. "Just a couple blocks down this street. We'll be there in three minutes tops." he said. |

"Good," sighed Kyo, rubbing at her forehead. "Sorry I'm such a bright ray o' sunshine today. Head still hurts. Puts me in a mood. And when I got nothin' t' do but sit around I tendta think a lot. And Nevan tends t' talk a lot..." Kyo cracked her knuckles, scretched her arms in front of her, and tilted her head back, trying to think up a new discussion topic. "You're inta medical stuff, right?" she asked after a few moments. "So, I'm wondering--how accurate are like, most medical dramas, actually? Like when it comes t' the actual doctor stuff. The only one I've watched anythin' of is this western one called 'House.' And I watch that more 'cause the lead doctor's such a hilarious asshole than anythin'." |

Iemoto, strangely, had never been into medical dramas, mostly because the grand majority of them focused on character interaction and other similar shenanigans - and this had never really drawn him in, no matter how one tried to slice it. He could imagine what Kyo was talking about, however... "Well, most of them forego medical accuracy... mostly because genuine medical stuff, as you say, is kinda boring. And a bit less magical, too. Woudn't make for very compelling drama, in my opinion." the boy said, shrugging his shoulders. "It's pretty much like any series about any real thing ever. You gotta bend reality a little, or it just ain't entertaining to watch." |

"Huh," Kyo said. "Well, yeah, I figured. Granted reality around her seems dramatic enough... then again we did just find out it might be literally bent outta shape by somethin' so that's prolly why..." The girl shrugged, and tilted her head back, frowning a bit. "Hrm... speakin' of unrealistic medical drama, since you're a gamer..." she said. "Eeeeever played Trauma Center? One o' my buddies back in Osaka was tryin' t' get me into it a while back. Wasn't interest at the time, but eh, maybe it's time I branch out?" |
