"Thank you," What did she introduce herself as? Between the urgency and having to deal with that thing it briefly slipped her mind. She recalled it back without much difficulty, though. "…Rozen, thank you for the assist Rozen, now please, come on."

There was no more time to waste there, she flipped open the now slightly rusted revolver, let four emptied cartridges fall and jingle amongst themselves on the floor and replace them with new ammunition, all while she walked out and quickly followed where she thought Eri was likely to have gone.

"ERI! ERI CHARINKO! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, PLEASE RESPOND!" Shouting in the ruins was a great way to attract unwanted attention from Shadows, but as far as Maki knew Eri's situation was still dire and getting to her as quickly as possible to help made the risk worthwhile.

Besides, if something couldn't hear the report of four gunshots at once echoing though this place it was likely a very good distance away. Which further justified calling out at the top of her lungs, in a way.

"MISS CHARINKO! ARE YOU THERE?!"

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
Eri looked up. The sweet-sounding girl was holding out a hand. It was inviting, really. Gentle, friendly. It fit about as well against this backdrop as bright sun yellow against putrid green and purple stripes. Reaching out her hand, Eri took the girl's and slowly stood up.

"You know my daughter? ...She sent you all, right?" Eri asked hopefully. "I was supposed to meet her for dinner at her apartment... what--what time is it?" Eri fumbled in her pocket for a phone, but then realized... her phone was in her purse, which was back with her car or those other two teenagers, and--

"There was another boy--there was...!"

"ERI! ERI CHARINKO! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, PLEASE RESPOND!"

Eri jumped, and whipped around in the direction the shouts came from. That couldn't be safe, shouting in this place--now that she thought about it that was a very dangerous thing to do. But--these people knew what they were doing, right? And more than that... the voice calling for her sounded older. More commanding. Adult. Not just in tone, but in wording. It sounded trained, even. Please respond.

The woman pulled her hand back, cupped both to her mouth, and called back:

"I'M FINE! THERE ARE OTHERS HERE WITH ME!"

A pause.

"THERE WAS A BOY WHO WAS TAKEN BY THE BUTTERFLY WHEN I WAS--I THINK HE'S HURT, OR WORSE! LOOK FOR HIM FIRST!"

Hurt or worse. Hurt or worse. Please don't let him have died. Let him still be alive, let him still be alive, let him still be alive. Ready to kill her or not, no one deserved a brutal death in a place like this. And he couldn't have been any older than Kyo...

...none of them could have been...

Isoroku smiled when Eri took her hand. She was glad that they were able to save Kyo's mother. Now, the only thing left to do was to bring her out of this place. But then, she heard someone shouting. Well, it had to be other people who might go into this place in order to rescue Kyo's mother. When Kyo's mother responded by telling the voice that there was another boy who was brought into the ruins alongside her by the golden butterfly, she looked at the others.

"Let's go. We'll find the boy as well," she said before she looked back at Kyo's mother. "Charinko-san, come with us. We'll see what we can do..." she said reassuringly. "By the way, are you hurt? I can heal you if you want..." she said, offering to heal Eri in case she's hurt.

If there was a boy injured, they needed to help him quickly.

Rozen stared down the hall where that sound echoed, and then into the room where that boy's corpse lay. "Should we tell her now, or later?" Rozen asked Maki. She personally didn't want to add this kind of bad news on top of all the other mind breaking shit Eri's been through right now.

Another one? That complicates things quite a bit, though Kaya. Escorting two targets would be quite the burden.

She thought about splitting up into two: One to escort Mrs. Charinko to the exit and the other to get the boy.

Of course, that was usually a terrible idea.

Looking to Mrs. Charinko, she then told her,
"Let's make it quick. I seriously do not recommend sticking around for too long."

"I'll tell her when we're closer. Shouting around this place is not recommended for more than is absolutely necessary." She had a good idea of where Eri had gotten off to, and she hurried to navigate there.

She hurried, only slowing down if it was necessary to keep Rozen from lagging behind and becoming separated. She could hear voices of others talking,

"I'm afraid that it won't be necessary to look for the young man. The Shadow killed him, I'm sorry to say." Long before they'd gotten there.

She turned the corner with her weapon trained down and away and there was two people she did not recognize, two she didn't. That was…Kaya, a friend of Kyo Charinko? As was of course, Isoroku Mayoi. The young American man she didn't know, but she assumed the same. The blonde-haired woman in the black veil was clearly older than everyone else present.

Ah, the masks did take unusual shapes sometimes, didn't they?

"Eri Charinko-san, yes?" She said, her voice becoming slightly somber. "I think it would be best if we left, and quickly. I'll have to come back later to retrieve his body." This damned place. Not only did it kill so readily anyone dragged there, it's very nature compounded problem after problem.

It was evident Maki had seen trouble. Her clothing and stab vest were torn with obvious slash marks and bloodstained, though no visible wounds remained. And either the Mamudo or lingering effects of the fear had meant her darker skin tone had taken on a pale pallor obviously unnatural for her.

She glanced around the room once, then directed her final statement to Eri. "Charinko-san? When we get out of here, allow me to offer you a ride back into town. It'll give me a chance to explain a few very important things to you." There were quite a few things she needed to be told that she couldn't just say in front of so many people. Top of the list was why she was targeted to be attacked and just why Noburu subtly tried to allow her to escape before this had to happen.

With that said? It was time to go, she beckoned everyone to follow as she planned to head for the main entrance the quickest way she knew.

Eri stuck close to Isoroku; out of these three, she seemed the most trustworthy, and dependable. When asked if she was hurt, Eri shook her head shakily. "No... not really. A little sore, but... none of the monsters got me." A little sore, but only from her tussle with that Shouta boy. Please be alive, please still be ali--

The adult voice drifted toward them as they moved, confirming the worst. Eri felt as if her soul was sinking, and slowed to a stop, turning her face toward the voice, eyes wide with... not surprise, or horror. It wasn't even sadness, although that was closer than the other two. More of a sick realization, that when she'd seen that boy blasted into the ground, she had seen his final moment of pain, she had seen him end. She had seen a young man killed.

She felt suddenly like she just wanted to... put her head down, her hands on her knees, and just not open her mouth again, because if she did, then whatever was left of her lunch at this hour would probably come out of it.

Upon seeing the woman who spoke, though, Eri couldn't help but feel the most sublime, instinctive relief. A uniformed police officer. Oh, God, this wasn't some child who'd been pulled into a mess larger than them, this was actually a woman who'd signed on for the job of protecting people. Eri broke away from Isoroku immediately, making a beeline for Maki Yamada.

She wanted to say Oh no to the death of Shouta Kimura and Thank God to the policewoman's arrival at the same time. She couldn't quite manage either. Halfway there, she slowed in her walk, eyes fixing on the other woman's face--a very familiar face...

"...R-Rozen Moore-san, you're a... 'Persona-user,' too?" Eri asked in a weary voice. She shook her head, then. "So, you, that Serizawa boy, and Naoya-kun... I suppose the only person I've met today who's not would be that young woman in those garrish heels..."

She let out a nervous laugh, and realized she was rambling out of anxiety. She gave herself a sort-of mental slap, and looked to Officer Yamada. "I'd appreciate that," she said quietly. "Officer, I know about the golden butterfly, but it wasn't the first thing to kidnap me today. I've had--a very stressful evening." Another nervous laugh. It sounded less humored and more... I'm about to go insane, really, even to her own ears. Probably not something she should try again. "C-Can we go? L-let's go. Lead the way, officer..."

When Isoroku found out that the boy was dead, she looked down, trying to not look upset. Another person was killed because of some stupid glowing insects drawing him here. She didn't want to get emotional here, so she retained her composure and looked at the others. So, a teacher and Maki. Well, good. Now they had some reasonable adults among them.

Seeing that Kyo's mother went towards Maki, she was bemused for a second before she sighed. Well, she couldn't blame her for anything that happened. Of course she would go to the nearest, reasonable adult if she needed help. Isoroku couldn't help but to feel bitter about it, though.

"Yes, please lead the way, Officer..." Isoroku told the policewoman. Somehow, she was also still bitter towards Maki, for her lectures about her guns and the fact that her guns would be confiscated soon.

Kaya looked downwards as she heard the news of the boy's death. Even if she didn't know the person, she couldn't help but feel that it was an unfortunate set of events.

She walked towards Eri and placed a hand on her shoulders.
"It's an unfortunate truth."

Harkens meanwhile simply cursed inwardly. He wasn't sure why this bugged him, the whole "failing to save someone" thing. It just did.

Still, they had a job to do, which is getting Mrs. Charinko out of this hellhole.
"This is going to make me sound like a prick, but this makes our job a whole lot easier. And a cop eh..."

Harkens was mostly ambivalent towards cops. As long as they stayed out of his way, he'll gladly stay out of theirs. Nonetheless he felt a certain unease being so close to one, especially a Persona user.
"You heard the lady, officer. You're the leader for now."
