When they were back at the room, Isoroku also went to Kinzaki's side. Subaru stepped back, giving the girls space as she stood aside to watch them. "We're here for you, Kinzaki. We'll definitely help you, no matter what," the part-time model told Kinzaki after Kyo.

"Kyo-san... Isoroku-san..." Kinzaki looked at both girls. Her eyes looked a bit glassy before she smiled. "...T-thank you..." she gave those girls a heartfelt gratitude. "...I... I'm just tired..." she said as she let out a soft sigh. "W-where..." she murmured. "...w-where's... where's Napoleon now?"

And then, there's no word coming from her anymore. It seemed that she had fallen asleep.

"Kinzaki..." Isoroku said, reaching out to hold Kinzaki's hand. The ribbon was still in her hand.

Kyo grimaced, and closed her eyes, before gently pushing herself off the bed and turning around to look at Kinzaki. Kinzaki, such a stupidly nice girl in spite of being so privileged, so above the world. Kinzaki, hurt this badly...

A small pinch of pain in her hand alerted Kyo that she should probably not clench her fist so tightly; she was bound to draw blood. Yet, she couldn't seem to loosen her fingers...

"People..." Kyo muttered under her breath. "People suck... they really, really suck..."

She couldn't do anything but just stand there, stare, grumble to herself, and draw catharsis from the pain in her left palm as the nails dug ever deeper. That, of course, was nothing new. It was just something she tried to ignore most days, because all she could do, all anyone could do, was complain about how shitty a place the world was, complain and shake their fists in the world's general direction, and try to make their own little "bubble" as un-shitty as they could.

Well, Reina... Nevan whispered angrily in the back of Kyo's mind. You done gone and tracked your bullshit all over our bubble. This means war, you old shrew.

It was Nevan's voice, but really, the words had come from Kyo's own brain first. She wasn't going to let this go, wasn't going to let anyone fuck with the few people who actually meant something to her. Not that fucking journalist, not Aleksandria's idiot father, not Machi's dad. Not those Black Hood bastards, not Nishiyo Sadako, and definitely not Reina Kirihara.

No one was going to screw with them and get away with it.

Isoroku heard Kyo's grumble before she sighed. "I agree to that. People really suck..." she said before she looked at Kinzaki's sleeping face. She knew that Kinzaki is a strong girl. She would overcome this. After taking a good look at her, Isoroku went to look at Subaru before she approached him (because it was from Isoroku's perspective).

"Suzuhara-san, right?" Isoroku said. "Kyo already told me about what happened..." she said in serious voice. "Tell me where's this Reina Kirihara..." her tone was cold. It felt like she was projecting her inner witch in her words.

"...If I tell you, what are you going to do?" Subaru asked.

"I will make her suffer..." Isoroku said simply.

"Well, I can tell you that, but doing so will make things more complicated," Subaru said. "You may even get arrested for trying to harm someone."

"Do I look like I care?!" Isoroku snapped. "Just tell me where that bitch is right now!!" it was so uncharacteristic of her to yell such profane word, but she was just as angry as Kyo. As she yelled, Subaru could see Isoroku's eyes briefly turning into pink, flashing.

"Mayoi-san..." Subaru sighed. "This is just the beginning..." the butler said. "There will be more things to come, and I have a feeling they are far worse than this..." she knew what Reina was trying to do. It was a declaration of war, but at the same time, it was also an act of provocation towards them. She wanted them to act first, blindly even. Make them angry. They would do reckless things due to anger, and recklessness could bring disadvantages to them.

Reina wanted them to have disadvantages so she could easily carry out her grand plan without their interference.

"Uh..." Isoroku just gritted her teeth before she looked away. "...So, what should we do now?" she asked.

Kyo didn't immediately turn around when Isoroku moved to speak with Subaru. She'd already heard Subaru's piece, and having been given a bit of time to think, understood that directly and rashly confronting Reina was a bad idea... as bad an idea as Shiori doing that very thing to Nishiyo. It would only result in more problems for all of them...

When Isoroku casually stated her intent to make Reina suffer, though, Kyo turned around, frowning slightly at her best friend's back. This was a side of Isoroku that Kyo had only glimpsed very occasionally, usually when something bad had happened to her. The vengeful witch, the person who was all too willing to lash out at those who harmed her friends and loved ones.

Someone not terribly different from Kyo herself, when it came down to it.

When Isoroku snapped, Kyo moved next to her, putting a hand on the girl's arm. "Hey, we can't lose our heads here," she said. "Gotta keep calm, move only when it's right t' do it, same as with Sadako, yeah? C'mon, let's go talk about this someplace else. Let Kinzaki have some peace n' quiet while she sleeps."

Kyo looked to Subaru.

"Is there a place close t' this room where we can talk in private? And more importantly--that Reina bitch ain't in the house right now, right? No chance of her walkin' in on us?"

After hearing Kyo, Isoroku looked down before she nodded. "...Okay..." she said reluctantly. Kyo was right, after all. They couldn't afford to lose their heads right now, because it was something that Reina wanted all along. She wanted them to be disorganized in confusion. She had to keep her emotions under check. "...sorry," she apologized to Subaru for snapping at him (again, it was from Isoroku's perspective).

Subaru smiled and shook her head. "It's okay. And don't worry. Reina-sama only drops by once in a while," she told both girls. "So, we don't have to worry about her suddenly showing up and walking in on us," she said. "And let's just talk somewhere else. Ojou-sama needs her rest," she said before she opened the door.

"..." Isoroku was silent as they walked out of the room. She was depressed due to her sudden outburst earlier and also due to the current situation.

Kyo didn't have much else to say, really. Her manner was dour and gruff, and she kept her hands stuffed in her pockets as they left the room. Seeing Isoroku's own mood, though, she removed one hand from her pocket and put it around Isoroku's shoulder as they walked--an almost bro-like show of support, albeit gentler than she normally would have done in happier circumstances.

"I know what you're feelin', 'cause it's the same thing I'm feelin'," Kyo said quietly. "Don't feel bad about feelin' bad, just keep it in check, and tell me if ya feel like ya can't do that, okay? We'll make sure Reina gets hers."

She looked toward Subaru as they continued on, and said, "I'm gonna give Inspector Shin Imoto a heads-up on Bedlam about Reina, just in case somethin' happens. So he knows where t' look if somethin' bad happens. He won't be able t' do anythin' about this, I don't think, but he's a good guy t' have on our side if we need 'im."

Subaru glanced at Kyo when she mentioned that it would be better to inform a policeman who was also a Persona-user regarding this matter. "That would be for the best," Subaru nodded before she went into a fancy-looking room which looked like a living room. "This would be the best place for a discussion. I will close the door so no maids or servants will hear us," she said.

Isoroku nodded. "Thank you very much, Suzuhara-san," the part-time model thanked the butler. "And thank you, Kyo..." she smiled at Kyo. She was glad to have her best friend's support. While it was rare for her to lose control upon her emotions, it was something that she would like to avoid at all costs, because it might cost something dear and precious to her if she lost it.

After telling both girls to make themselves comfortable on the couch, Subaru took a seat on another couch. "So... where should we begin?" she said.

Kyo gave Isoroku one last pat on the back before moving to the sofa, and plopping down on it. In any other frame of mind, Kyo might have found a chance to relax in such a setting to be something of a treat, as long as she wasn't in a bad enough mood to find the overly rich environment too hard to relax in. She waited for Isoroku to join her, and then, when Subaru asked where she should begin, Kyo quirked an eyebrow and said:

"How 'bout with what it is her aunt even wants outta all this. I mean, it's prolly about her wantin' t' take control o' the company, right? That's my guess, anyway. Kinda predictable."

She shrugged and folded her arms over her chest, looking at Isoroku and frowning. She wondered, vaguely, if it might be a good idea... or a bad idea to let Aleksandria know about this situation. On the one hand, Kinzaki probably needed her girlfriend right about now. On the other--Kyo wasn't sure she wanted to awaken the dragon, as it were, by stoking the fires of Aleks's vengeful side.

It was something to think about...

Subaru nodded after hearing Kyo. Isoroku had already taken her seat beside Kyo, trying to make herself comfortable. "Yes, it is true that she wants to take over the company," the butler said. "But that's not the only reason. I did say before that there is no love lost between both Ojou-sama and Reina-sama."

Subaru paused for a while before she continued. "It all started when Ojou-sama's father, Hajime-sama got married to a French woman, Jacqueline. She was one of Hajime-sama's colleagues and had some kind of rivalry with Reina-sama. And then she gave birth to Ojou-sama, and Ojou-sama was named the successor of the family," she sighed. "And Reina-sama disagreed."

"..." Isoroku was silent as she listened to what Subaru was telling them. It sounded like a setting of a soap opera.

"After a while, the disagreement turned into an outright hatred, and Reina-sama ended up hating both Jacqueline-sama and Ojou-sama, to the point of ridiculousness. Even after Jacqueline-sama's death, she continues to hate them for stealing her birthright," Subaru said. "There were several times when Reina-sama tried to get herself named the next successor through legal means, but each time, it didn't succeed. She became more bitter because of that..." Subaru ended her explanation.

Kyo's eyes went more and more deadpan the more she listened. When Subaru had finished...

She just stared, flatly, as if she could not believe human beings could possibly sink to such depths of stupid.

"So there's some 'filthy gaijin' mixed in with the entitled greed. Wonderful. Fabulous. Fucking-A," she grumbled. Clicking her tongue, Kyo leaned back, crossed one leg over her knee in rather a masculine fashion, and then she said: "So there's gotta be somethin' that's happened before this, if y'all're gettin' other users involved. What's Reina been doin' before now that had y'all so worried?"
