So, Isoroku went to Kinzaki's mansion together with Kyo. Yesterday, Kinzaki's butler, a boy named Subaru had contacted her and said that Kinzaki was sick due to something. Isoroku was worried, so she decided to pay her a visit and brought Kyo with her. The mansion was just outside the town, but they needed to use a taxi to go there. And the taxi dropped them right in front of the mansion, and because this was her first time seeing Kinzaki's mansion, Isoroku could only look at it in awe. "We're here, Kyo," Isoroku said to Kyo. The front gate was so huge and they could do nothing but to wait until someone came out. |

Kyo hadn't ever been to Kinzaki's home. She'd known it must have been large, and grand, but "large" and "grand" were really just descriptors, after all... Kyo hadn't really done much in the way of imagining up details. "Huh," she said as she disembarked from the taxi. "That's a pretty sweet pad. Lifestyles o' the rich n' famous, eh? Cripes, people like Chika and Nana could hardly even dream o' livin' in a place like this." The green-haired girl stuffed her fingers into her pockets, only vaguely aware of the sound of the taxi driving off. She stopped in front of the fence, frowning. When she'd first met Kinzaki, she'd been so judgmental over the girl's status... that had been one of the first times her Persona, Morrigan, had berated her over something... Morrigan had been the reason Kyo had found it in her to be friends with Kinzaki. Just as she'd been the reason Kyo had been able to calm down and listen when Alexis had turned out to be Aleksandria Fyodor, and just as she'd been the reason Kyo had found the courage to try her hand at a new start with Hiroko. "...Gaaaah, I wish I hadn't fuckin' ascended," she said aloud, quite randomly. "I miss Morrigan." She gave no explanation as to why she picked now to say this; she simply tilted her head back and glowered disconsolately at the clouds. |

Isoroku just listened to Kyo before she gave her a friendly pat on her back. She knew that she was still having problem adjusting with her new Persona and new passive ability that drain one's energy while sleeping. It was quite a hassle actually, and she already experienced it firsthand after she was drained out by Kyo. She ended up having to stay on bed for almost two days. Not long after that, the gate was opened, and a slender, short young man with ginger hair stepped out. He wore a black butler's uniform and he bowed to both girls. Actually, he was not a male, but a female who disguised herself as a male, but no one knew that for the time being. "Greetings," the butler, Subaru spoke to both Kyo and Isoroku. Her voice was boyish (like the voice of someone who hadn't reached puberty yet), and it helped her in her disguise as a male. "Welcome to Kirihara Mansion. I am Kinzaki Kirihara's butler, Subaru Suzuhara," she introduced herself. "Nice to meet you. Please follow me," without saying much, she turned around and asked both girls to follow her. "O-okay," Isoroku nodded as she followed the butler. "C'mon, Kyo." |

Kyo blinked twice when the gate opened and she looked down to see Subaru standing there--her first thought, oddly enough, was Jun Kariyama. There was a definite androgyny to this guy, and Kyo found herself wondering if it was even a guy at all. Of course, the odds of someone cross-dressing in such a well-to-do house were slim to none... right? Especially the help. Yeah. Besides, it wasn't like Kyo had any chance to talk... with her boy's cargo pants, men's t-shirt, and brown men's jacket. "Heya," Kyo said. "Good t'meetcha. Sorry I didn't dress up, but Kinzaki knows what I dress like and... well, t'be honest, I couldn't give a rat's butt what the rest o' the family thinks o' me." She grinned in a flat way and moved to follow Isoroku and Subaru into the house, well aware that she might have just marked herself as someone to keep an eye on in the eyes of this butler. If so? Oh-the-fuck-well. Kyo wasn't in the best of moods after leaving Isoroku in such a state a few days before, although... she suspected the second day of bed rest was just Isoroku having gotten a little too comfortable with being in bed, because Hiroko had never been laid low for quite that long even before he'd gained the Invigorate skill. |

"..." Subaru just looked at Kyo for a brief moment before she nodded, not minding her way of dressing as she led both Kyo and Isoroku into the mansion. As expected from a big fancy mansion, the interior of the mansion was definitely something to behold. Isoroku could only see at everything in awe as the butler led them deeper into the mansion. "As I said before, Ojou-sama is currently ill due to certain... event," Subaru spoke as she led both girls down the corridor. "She is currently on her bed, quite despondent and currently in fragile state..." she said before she stopped in front of a door. Apparently, it was Kinzaki's room. Subaru opened the door. "Please come in. She may be delighted to see both of you..." she spoke to Kyo and Isoroku. In the room, which was pretty big for a bedroom, was Kinzaki who was on her bed. She wore a plain white kimono. She looked tired and downcast. She was sitting on her bed, holding something in her hand. As she noticed that the door was opened, she saw Kyo and Isoroku. "Kyo-san... Isoroku-san..." Kinzaki said. "...Welcome," she gave both girls a smile. She looked so weak as she smiled at them. Isoroku immediately rushed to the heiress' side. "Kinzaki, what happened to you?" she asked. Edited by Prince Arjuna, Oct 12 2013, 01:13 AM.

"Y'could save us all a lotta time n' trouble if ya just told us what was this 'certain event' was," Kyo grumped, trying to sound uncaring--although a touch of worry was obvious in her tone, even to her own ears. When the butler led them into the room, Kyo followed in after Isoroku, but... walked. She stared at Kinzaki, frowning, taking in every aspect of the girl's appearance. The exhaustion, the sadness, the weakness. Isoroku asked the obvious question, so Kyo stepped up to her best friend's side, hands still in her pockets. The green-haired girl's green eyes came to rest on Kinzaki's hands, what she was holding there... |

"Very well. I shall wait outside," Subaru said before she closed the door, waiting outside, leaving the three girls in the room. "Tell me, Kinzaki," Isoroku said. "What happened?" she asked. She was concerned by Kinzaki's condition. "...I..." Kinzaki spoke, but she stopped herself. "..." she went silent before she looked at the thing she was holding in her hand. It was the ribbon that used to be worn by her pet piglet, Napoleon. As she looked at the ribbon, both Kyo and Isoroku would be able to see moisture coming out of her tired eyes. "Hey, what's wrong?" Isoroku repeated her question. "I-isn't that Napoleon's ribbon?" she said, noting the ribbon in Kinzaki's hand. |

The ribbon, the tears. Kyo put the pieces together about as quickly as she always did when she had them right in front of her--she was the girl who'd recognized Masquerade by voice alone, after all, the girl who'd figured out what was up with Isoroku, who'd solved the mystery of Aleksandria Fyodor's location, who'd masterminded the rescue operation to save Natsumi's best friend from an insane Yakuza heiress--something this simple? There was no way she couldn't have figured it out. A look of pain came over Kyo then, and she knelt down next to the bed, reaching for Kinzaki's hands, but not to take the ribbon--rather, to take Kinzaki's hands in her own, closing the blonde girl's fingers over the ribbon and covering them with hers. She knew that Napoleon was dead. Yet amidst the memories she had of the cute little fucker, and the sentimental attachment she held to the pig simply for being the first living thing in this city she'd confided in about her childhood... there was the question. "What happened, Kinzaki?" she asked quietly. "Y'can tell us. We're here for ya, y'know?" What happened? The piglet was dead, but the ribbon was here. That meant Kinzaki must have found the piglet, or possibly seen it die, or-- Subaru's behavior. Sick. Event. Something was wrong here, beyond Napoleon just being dead. Kyo could almost smell it. In her mind, she could hear Nevan's snarling hiss, like a protective cat ready to claw the face off of... someone. |

Kinzaki continued to cry silently when she heard Kyo's question. She tried to say a word, but her voice stopped in her throat before she could let it out. Isoroku reached out her hand to wipe Kinzaki's tears. "Calm down, okay?" Isoroku told the heiress. "Just take your time..." she said. Then, she looked at Kyo with a worried expression. Apparently, Kinzaki was not in a condition to tell them anything just yet. Perhaps they needed to ask Subaru about this. |

Kyo nodded slowly to Isoroku's silent look, and slowly let go of Kinzaki's hand. Then, she stood up. "Stay with her, yeah? I'm gonna go t' the little girls' room..." she said in a flat voice. "I'll be back in a bit, Kinzaki... promise." The green-haired girl turned without another word, walked toward the door. She opened it, stepped outside, and closed it. She turned to Subaru, sizing the butler up, looking at him with narrow eyes. Then, with one hand, she beckoned Subaru to follow her down the hall, just a bit of a ways away from the room where their voices wouldn't carry inside. Once they were down the hall, if Subaru did indeed follow her, Kyo would turn around, her expression fixed, flat, an obvious attempt not to be angry before she knew exactly what she needed to be angry about. The first question she asked wasn't What happened to Napoleon? or Why won't Kinzaki say anything? No, because Kyo had the basic gist: there was an act of cruelty that had been done here, something that had traumatized Kinzaki to the point where she couldn't even tell Isoroku, her best friend, about it. So what Kyo asked, in a low, dangerous voice, was: "Who's nose am I gonna hafta break for this?" |
