Charles pulled his butterfly knife from his pocket and started spinning it around. There wasn't a response yet to the Bedlam thread. Damn. How the hell were they gonna get him stable? Where was anyone when he needed them? Why couldn't people come when they said they would be able to. Dammit, dammit.

He turned and faced the entrance, hoping someone would come fast. They wouldn't be able to do much except hope he didn't bleed out at this rate. The look of distress on his face was hopefully hidden from the other two, as he gritted his teeth.

Bleeding the most? Oh fuck, there was just so much....

Fuck fuck fuck!

Shoulder wound, the shoulder wound had to be the worst. So Daichi concentrated as hard as he could, trying to channel al of his effort into a more concentrated form of healing instead of a general area. He let the concentration build for a couple seconds, and then cast the Dia. Hopefully it would take effect specifically on the shoulder wound.

"I'm sorry Imoto-san. My healing skills have just recently developed."

I'm not sure if I can do any better than this.

"Hurry up! Hurry up! Which way next?!"

A voice, probably female, clearly distressed. It was a shout from afar, but it bounced off the tall slopes of the mountain face and brought it within earshot of Naoya's present company. A second voice sounded in the mountains, but it was only loud enough be be barely audible. Soon, the sound of shuffling feet and shifting pebbles reached the group.

There was a trill as a large, white cicada appeared from a distance and called. It flickered with white light, evidently sending a message. The sound of cicadas rose as more joined the the first one's ranks. They swirled in the air above Naoya and began to flash in unison.

"My cicadas found him! Nao-kun! Stay strong!"

Yuzuki arrived on the scene and bit her lip at the damage she saw. Wordlessly, she gestured to her cicadas and pointed at Naoya's many wounds. They began to cast their healing light on Naoya and circled closer to him to heal. Kumori arrived soon after in great, force-augmented leaps. He knelt next to the injured blacksmith and lowered his bag to the floor. Whatever concern showed on his face was covered by his refractive mask.

"Not good. I'll start immediately."

With the curt declaration, he called on his Persona. A mass of glowing white appeared in the sky, extending a solitary, emaciated arm to reach towards Naoya. When the finger reached Naoya's ruined joint, shattered bone began to work its way out of bleeding muscle and coalesced into the shoulder's original shape.

Naoya smiled when he heard the sound of cicadas, and let his head drop. The hole in his shoulder quickly closed -- the potent blanket healing magic and the focused spell from Daichi causing it to reform from the bone outward -- though it left a sunburst-shaped scar on the joint, stretching from his neck down his bicep. The raw flesh of his leg quickly developed a new layer of skin, but it was pitted on the back, an impression left by the bullet's passage through the muscle.

"Yatsu-san, Yuzu-san...ain't never been happier t' hear a body comin' on up th' path," he managed with a tired laugh.

His strength returning somewhat, he flipped over and arched his back as best he could with the band of metal around his waist. The melted remnants of his chainmail shirt still remained. A series of popping noises preceded a gush of blood and the sound of glass falling free, and he slumped down into it afterward.

"Oh, goddamn that...that feels better. Nakamura-san, how much, uh, y'know, how much...much power d' you have left? Can y' manage an agi for me? I c'n teach you a trick."

He held a hand out to Charlie, asking for help to his feet.

The boy no longer looked to be on death's door, but his complexion was sallow and the scar on his head was a mix of wet pink and angry red. He had dark circles under his eyes, and his gums itched from the teeth regrowing there. Briefly he hoped that he hadn't swallowed the ones he had lost. They had most likely been shattered at some point -- passing through that metal shutter, perhaps? -- and passing shards of bone through his guts wouldn't be fun.

As Yuzuki came to the rescue for a second time, Charles felt his normal exuberance come back to him as the cicadas started to heal Naoya up.

"Aw yeah! Fuck yeah, Yuzu-chan, that's how we do it!"

He jumped up and Shoryuken-ed in celebration. When Naoya held his hand out, he pulled him back to his feet with an excited tug.

"Yeah motherfucker! That's what I'm talking about!"

"Holy fucking shit that was scary as hell holy moly gottdamn!"

Thank God.

"An Agi? I think I can."

The concentrated Dia had drained Daichi quite a bit. Even then, he wasn't sure it had done anything to help because that boy had shown up and done with ease in a matter of seconds what Daichi probably wouldn't have been able to at all.

Is the baby going to cry? Or are we just going to mope about how fucking useless you are?

Daichis eyes widened, why was Michael talking to him this way?

"Yeah...I think i've got enough energy to manage it."

He didn't let on to anything, his tone coming off as relieved that Naoya was able to stand at all.

What's your issue Michael?

His persona didn't respond.

As the bond between Naoya and the mass of light solidified, the emaciated arm faded into a single beam of pulsing white. With Yuzuki's passive healing bathing Naoya in the equivalent of a regenerate spell, Kumori saw to providing relief in specific injuries.

"It wouldn't be a bad idea to call for backup if you plan on going deep into the ruins," Kumori said, frowning at the injuries. "You shouldn't be up and about too much. I can mend things, but the process will leave scars and you'll be anemic for a while. You can speed it up a bit if you use healing spells on yourself, but you'll still feel the queasiness and tiredness. There's only so much that you can rush. It's kind of incredible that you're still conscious after all you've bled."

Kumori shot a glance at the red-stained soil where Naoya stood.

"Can we agree to using Bedlam if we want to go in really deep, though? Not just Nao-kun." Yuzuki gave a pointed look in Kumori's direction. "We've been talking about how important it is to coordinate since forever and there have been a couple of announcements about it too. I really think that it's time that we started doing as we say. Sound good~?"

Naoya gave Charlie a hug, and then released him. Sheepishly, he noted that he left a fair portion of blood on Charlie's clothes. He looked at Kumori and Yuzuki: there would definitely be ramifications for what had happened, he accepted that. The blood loss was rather amazing -- he'd call it heroic, if he were the type to call suffering heroic.

"I used a lot 'f healin' t' stay upright. We...we were only on th' second level," Naoya said, "'N' near th' second entrance. Shouldn't'a been too far 'way...must be some kinda access to deeper parts near there."

He turned to Daichi.

"I need you t' focus really hard. Pull th' agi down from a...a ball to a point, 'n' move it from here -- " he touched the top of the metal band around his midsection, the remnants of his chainmail, then pulled his hand down to the bottom of it " -- to here. Don't worry 'bout burnin' me, I can't be burnt. Hot 'n' tight, drag it down."

Charles hugged his friend back. The blood that was now on his clothes caused him to space out mentally, before any sort of memories came to fore, causing the teen to sort of autopilot. Another friend's blood all over him. How quaint.

"Fire is hot as shit and now there's two people with fire here. Oh damn."

Daichi inhaled deeply, held for some seconds and then exhaled. He visualized what Naoya had been talking about. Then made his way over to him and took a knee. He opened his palm, and concentrated. He felt the heat being ejected from his hand, almost like he was holding a blowtorch of some kind. He extended his arm, towards the top of the metal band. He made his way down the middle of it, just to be sure. He swiftly dragged his hand down it again, to get any spots he could have missed. He then 'turned off' the Agi and stood up.

"Okay Imoto-san. I got it."

Daichi was feeling a little lightheaded and woozie. Not to mention tired.

Probably shouldn't try to cast any more spells. At least for a little while.

He took a step back and shook his head, trying to center himself.
