In the meantime, Yuki managed to finish being taken care of, holding a small ice pack against the minimal throbbing in the middle of his neck. But, much to his surprise, there was only one person standing there, and everyone else was out of sight.

"..."

Remembering Machi went outside, he stepped out as well. In public, they had to act like a proper couple after all, unfortunately. Plus, he wanted to comfort her over Hanako. He couldn't help but think the reaction was vastly unusual though...

As he walked out, he smiled at Momoko, who was just walking in, remembering their agreement. He'd surely honor it.

--

"Make it count?" Machi sounded rather puzzled at Suzu's choice of words. "How do you mean? She's--"

"--Fightin' the hardest she ever will, and she'll need ya by her side." The redhead was quick to interrupt, squeezing Machi's hands. The girl was trembling... "Y're her damn best friend, just get the fuck in there and be so, instead of throwin' yerself a pity party no one gives two fucks about."

"Um... Am I interrupting?" The pair looked up in reflex to see Yuki holding an ice pack against his lightly wounded nose. A flicker of confusion spread across Machi's face, she didn't even remember hitting someone.

"Didja walk into a pole or somethin'?"

"Into Machi-chan's elbow, actually. It's... surprisingly powerful..." The pain he experienced initially was horrible, he was pretty sure it was broken... How come it recovered so quickly? That shouldn't be physically possible...

"I... did it?" The blonde girl seemed to be regaining her touch with reality, and frowned, bowing very slightly to her husband-to-be. "My apologies... I didn't mean to--"

"It's fine, don't worry about me. I can pack a punch." He tried to laugh it off, earning the tiniest of gratitude smiles from the freshman present. She let go of Machi's hands just as Yuki extended out his own. "Come on. We have some waiting to do, and you'll catch a cold out here."

After a moment of pondering, Machi nodded. She cleaned her face with a tissue, drying out the tears, and took Yuki's hand, standing up afterwards with a small pull from the boy. Neither let go, and they walked inside the hospital, with Suzu close behind.

Best Influence.
Naoya paused to the side of the door and felt the small handful of bills in his pocket that his uncle had handed him.

"Actually...uh...m' uncle gave me some cash t' get people food," he said to Chika and Kyo. "I think that we're...y'know, prob'ly goin' t' be here for a bit. Think there's a Wild Duck somewhere nearby, 'n' maybe, like...I dunno, a ramen place or somesuch."

He looked over the group, trying to count the people present. Himself, Charinko-san and Chika-san were just inside the waiting room. Fujiwara-san was moving to direct people in, along with someone he didn't recognize -- maybe someone from the kendo club? he wasn't sure -- and that large third-year, Nakamura-san. Serizawa-san and Mayoi-san were talking as they moved in...Yoshida-san and a foreign boy were talking in the corner...there was the young man who hadn't recognized him and who, frankly, he hadn't recognized either...Kijimuta-san and a red-haired girl he recognized but didn't know were arguing outside...the guy who had had the broken nose was approaching them, and nodded to a very small girl who he thought might be a first year...

Shit, there were a lot of people here. Fifteen people? Probably more on the way, knowing the way these things worked.

"Man, I dunno if m' uncle gave me enough t' pay f'r everyone," he noted, dumbly. "Guess 'll have t' dip into m' own pocket...hrmn...Where t' start...?"

The first step would probably be figuring how what people wanted, who was hungry and who might be hungry later. Chances were, as he mentioned, they would be here for a while. People would need energy, or else they might end up in hospital rooms of their own. Persona users weren't known for moderation, after all.

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
Kyo paused, turning back to face Naoya. "Yeah, actually--Peace Diner's like, five minutes down the way," she said. "They're pretty good, a bit healthier but not as y'know, guiltily awesome t'eat. I'll pay for mine at least, if y'can get me a--"

The girl broke, a look of blankness crossing over her face. She was suddenly distracted, and her eyes had become unfocused. As Chika came to a stop and gave the green-haired girl a concerned look, Kyo turned her eyes... directly upward, and then, to the left.

She bit her lip.

"...Ah, on s-second thought," the green-haired girl said in a guilty voice, "I shouldn't, uh, I shouldn't spend much time here, so uh, I'll get some eats on the way back. Yeah, um... yeah. 'Scuse me."

"Kyo--?!" Chika began, but Kyo was already nudging past Naoya, out of the waiting room and toward the exit. Chika moved to catch Kyo by an arm, but Kyo weaved out of the way, and Chika's hand closed on only air.

"It's fine, y'all got more'n enough people in here already," Kyo said over her shoulder. "Just--call me if there's a change, aight? I'll see y'all later."

Chika stood in the entry to the waiting room, watching until Kyo was out of sight. Then, she turned to Naoya and just said in a flat voice, "I'm not hungry. Don't worry 'bout me," before moving to the nearest empty seat and sitting herself down, eyes on her own knees.

She passed by Machi, Yuki, and Suzu as they made their way in, and paused for a moment, making eye contact with Machi for just a moment. For some reason, though, she couldn't keep eye contact at the moment. Her own momentary willingness to eavesdrop on Machi's distress purely for the sake of finding out more about her--it made her feel like she was a piece of shit when she thought about it. And it was kind of impossible not to think about it while she was right there, looking Machi in the face.

"I, uh... gotta go," she said. "Waitin' room's back the way I came, uh... that-a-way."

She turned and pointed a little vaguely the way she'd come. It was impossible to explain exactly why she had to leave with Yuki there, though. So she ducked her head and just started toward the door again.

Upupupupu~!
Aleph sat on his chair as he scanned the room. Everyone seemed to be handling the situation well now, mostly. No idea what happened before he entered the hospital, though. Oh, well. The whole thing was getting awkward, and Aleph didn't know who to talk to. Most of the people in the room probably weren't too happy about conversing with him, while others he wished he never even met them to begin with.

Then, he saw the nose-bleeding Yuki walk back into the room with an ice pack on his face, then walk out, and then walk back in again with Machi and Suzu. As much as intolerable Suzu was and as much as....hardhearted as Machi was, Aleph didn't have the energy nor the mood to voice his objections. So, the only thing he could do to occupy himself was tend to Yuki's injury.

Aleph got up from his seat and walked over to the three and spoke to Yuki. "Hey." Aleph said. "Did they fix your nose?"

Probably a stupid question seeing as how they were in a hospital, Aleph thought, but he didn't care.
