"No, you can't. Go away." Those were the only words Suzu said to Momoko before quickening her pace. Eventually, she stood in front of Machi, whom was still crying. "Oi, stop acting like she's dead already, bubuzuke." Suzu said once noticing Machi didn't even look up. The redhead crossed her arms under her chest, and tapped her foot against the ground. "..." "Ya should be supporting her instead." "But she--" "But she what? Was injured? Ya weren't there? What? By all means, tell me." Suzu seemed highly impatient, but something in her words was actually working. "I don't know what happened t'her, but I know she doesn't need people t'be moping. She needs ya to be right there for her when she wakes up." "If--" "When. Snap outta it already." "You don't understand... She..." Machi let her hands fall from her face, them going to grip her knees very tightly. Her face was red, as well as her eyes, from crying. She looked up when feeling a light pressure on each of her hands. "I do understand. Ya told me t'do this, remember?" That was a very rarely seen side to Suzu. As of late, though, that was the second time Machi had seen it. "She's still fightin' for all 'o ya. Make it count, instead of ignoring it." |

Naoya grimaced when Chika said that "this stuff happens to everyone I care about." Childishly, he wondered if that had included him, but they had only just met before that...and it was hardly the time to dwell on such things. Not when Hanako lay nearby, broken, bleeding, and burnt. He massaged the back of his right hand, and began trying to think of a way to sneak into her room to heal her. Of course, not knowing anything about where she was made it difficult to formulate any kind of plan. "You c'n...uh. Y'know, hold on to it f'r a bit," he said, looking down at the bandana. "You might...might need 't more'n I do." He gave her one of his crooked smiles, a bit of strain showing through around the eyes. He wanted to do something to fix the situation, but he couldn't, so he would just stay here and tend to people. His hands dangled uselessly at his sides for a moment, falling still for a heartbeat. Almost immediately a tremor went through the fingers of his right hand, and he clenched it in his left. "Everything'll probably be...y'know...prob'ly fine," he said, his tone sounding more as if he were attempting to convince himself more than anything else. He looked up at the red-haired girl, and felt the urge to reach out and grab her hand, give it a squeeze. It would be more reassuring and convincing if he did -- more importantly for him, it would give him something to do with his hands other than let them hang and twitch where they were -- but he wasn't about to touch her without some sort of signal of permission. Instead, he spoke again, figuring it best to keep her talking and try to distract her from circling around the feelings of fear and powerlessness that he imagined she must be, if only because that was his state: "How d' you know Ito-san, 'zactly? I mean, I...uh...I gathered that you 'n' she were friends, but...y'know..." He looked down again, reflecting on just how terrible he was at keeping a conversation going. --- Shin continued to wave people in, but there was a large knot outside the front. He needed to get back to work, but leaving this many persona users together and boiling with stress was a recipe for disaster. Something had to be done. He glanced over the group, and attempted to figure out what to do. He slipped in to the waiting room and pulled out his wallet. He grabbed five thousand-yen bills, and folded them up, approaching his nephew. He nodded to Chika, but didn't offer any greeting beyond that. When he spoke, his tone was direct and authoritative: as far as he was concerned, he was giving an instruction of the utmost important. "I need to go here in a moment. When everyone gets in, I want you to go and buy food for everyone. Chances are that people will forget to eat and tempers will grow short. I'm putting you in charge of that, understood?" Naoya glanced up and nodded, taking the offered bills. "You'll need a few extra pairs of hands. Don't try to do it all yourself. Let me know if you need anything else" Naoya grimaced up at his uncle, and was about to respond when Shin turned and left. He had already weighed those people here that he was familiar with -- Serizawa would need some kind of constant stimulation to keep him from making a scene; Mayoi might or might not try to keep others calm, but he didn't have a good read on the girl; he had seen Fujiwara around the metalworks a few times; and Charinko was outside, trying to calm herself -- and tried to determine who would be good at directing people into the room. Most seemed to be mid-conversation, processing their grief and distress. For a moment, Shin was struck with the consciousness that holy hell, they're just children. This is asking too much of them. Part of him blanched -- how could he expect any of them to maintain calm? He approached Seiji, and tried to project an air of serenity and control. "Fujiwara-san? You might not remember me, I'm Shin Imoto. Naoya's uncle? I need to ask a favor," he spoke in simple, direct sentences, hoping that he could cut through whatever walls of thought the boy had built up. "I need to get back to work, and we're going to need someone to direct the people outside into the waiting room when they come in. Could I entrust you with that task?" "...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"

Kyo had halfway intended to sit there and just listen. When it came down to it, though... doing that made her feel dirty, like some kind of voyeur. She didn't give herself time to form a counter to that idea in her mind, though it would have been easy to rationalize that Suzu and Machi were talking about this in a public place, it was only their fault if someone overheard. Instead, she stood up, wobbling slightly, and nodded once at Shou. "I'm doin' fine. Just needed t' get my head on straight, is all..." She looked over at Machi. Part of her was compelled to say something--but another part of her knew it wasn't any of her business, and Machi, Machi of all people, who had been so willing to not get involved in Kyo's own personal problems, she deserved--respect. Respect for her privacy. As Kyo pushed through the door, back into the hospital, she caught the words, "Oi, stop acting like she's dead already, bubuzuke." But that was all. --- Chika looked down at the bandanna, when Naoya offered to let her keep it. For a moment, it appeared she might protest. Then, after a pause, she folded it up and tucked it into a pocket. "I'll give it back... thanks," she said. "Hanako-san... she and I just met at some point. We weren't really friends at first... but she--tried t' see what was wrong after my Persona possessed me, and--well, we're not really close, exactly, but--I feel like me'n her aren't so different in some ways..." Sure, Hanako was cheerful, and happy, but Chika could tell. She also wasn't entirely right in the head. Living with that... Chika moved to walk toward the waiting room--they needed to get out of the way, after all, off to the side, Hanako wasn't the only emergency in this hospital, nor was she the only one anyone cared about. That was when Kyo stepped back into the hospital, and Chika paused, looking up. Chika and Kyo stared at each other for a few seconds, and then, without a word, Chika beckoned the green-haired girl to follow along with them. Kyo, who hadn't been inside the building when they'd been directed to the waiting room, simply followed without question. She gave Naoya an uneasy grin as she did, but didn't seem to be up to much talking at that moment. |

So, Isoroku didn't know anything either. Well, then. "I see." He said to her. Aleph couldn't really think of anything else to do while the whole drama bomb happened. Everyone else seemed to be proccupied with other things concerning each other, and Aleph didn't feel like bothering anyone right now. He already had enough trouble from trying to bother people in the past. Then again, Aleph felt he was probably thinking too hard about the whole thing. So, Aleph proceeded to find a seat and then sit there and try to listen to everyone else's conversations. Maybe if he was lucky, someone would want to talk to him and hopefully help him clear everything up soon. |

Taketo took a seat once more in the waiting room, taking in all of the intensity of the mood. At least he had Alan there. He kept the mp3 and headphones in his hand, weirdly reluctant to let them go. He decided to, instead, make conversation. No reason why only one of them could be distracted, right? "So, Alan-kun... How're things between... you and Maki-chan?" The truth was he had kept a bit of distance ever since the engagement thing had been announced. He just... didn't know what to say, so he was a bit out of the loop. "I guess you must be... pretty bummed about the whole fianceé thing, huh..." Weird that this was his choice of conversation in this situation... still, anything was better than thinking about Hanako, even if this wasn't particularly pleasant, as well. |

"Same here.." He muttered before Kyo got up. The boy simply stayed where he was, his eyes closing yet again as he tried to clear his mind, just not think about things for a little bit. -- "B-but..." Momoko trailed off as she was brushed off my Suzu. A flare of jealousy rose in her as Suzu began to speak with Machi. She was Machi's friend too! Why couldn't sh- As fun as your mental rantings are, is this really the time? The girl let out a small sigh, taking a step away from the two. Kobalos was right as usual...Hanako was injured..Slowly she began to walk towards the hospital's doors, hopefully Machi would be okay.. -- "I actually managed to apologize to her." He spoke with a sigh. He'd never thought that would even happen..But he was glad that it did. "She forgave me...we're friends again." He ran a hand through his hair as Taketo spoke further, a small frown occupying his face. "I think everyone is pretty bummed about that. Forced marriages...Its just not right." Its not like he saw many of those anywhere else he visited...He was constantly being reminded that Japan was vastly different than anywhere else he'd been. |

When Benkei explained to Isoroku in perfect details about Hanako's condition, she could only gasp in horror and closed her mouth with her hand, her eyes widened. To call it bad was an understatement. She was hoping that Hanako would be fine. To be completely honest, Isoroku didn't really think of that particular girl as a close friend, or at least not really close like she was with Kyo, but still, Hanako was still a friend of her. Even with their relationship had a rocky start, she couldn't help but to be very worried. "I want to ask Imoto-san too," Isoroku said. She needed to stick around so she could learn more about what actually happened. She noticed that Hanako's other friends, or closer friends, were having stuff to deal with. She wanted to help out, but she thought that she might be bothering her, so she decided to not do anything. The only thing she could do right now was to figure out what's going on. |

"Oh? Yeah, sure, I can do that, detective Imoto." Stood up and nodded. Ah, it shouldn't have been to hard, should it have been? So many people were already there. He took a deep breath and prepared to go wait for everyone as they'd come in, or more likely come back in. But first? There was one last thing, he'd nearly forgotten it in his addled state. He gave Akira the best smile he could manage under the circumstances and a friendly greeting. "Oh, hi. Sorry we couldn't see each other under y'know, better circumstances…" "Ah, I should probably get going myself. I'll check back in later, okay?" It was the end of the world as far as some of them were concerned, but the sad fact was at any given time in a hospital there's a lot more than just one person in a bad way. Some were even worse off than Hanako. "If there's any change? I'll make sure someone lets you all know." Edited by Nonsequitur, Sep 25 2013, 09:24 PM.

And then Seiji responded, smiling as much as he could. It...almost killed Akira inside, because he knew how much this must have devastated Seiji... As Akira sat there trying to get a grasp over the situation, he saw Daichi lean against a wall near him. He wanted to mutter a "hello" or something, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He couldn't think of anything that would be valid to say in this situation, it would almost be rude to say anything. So he continued the silence. He saw Kyo rush through the hospital door. This made him question where exactly the rest of the group was...but only vaguely, just a quick thought that left as soon as he thought it. He was quite late after all and others may be trying to cope with it... It seemed Taketo had started a conversation however, breaking the sorrowful silence. If Akira were in any better of a mood he would have been paying attention to their conversation, and as tempting as it was to listen in...he couldn't right now. He began to think on the conversation a bit. He didn't really know Hanako all that well, he was surprised it hit him as hard is it did. Maybe it was a realization of the danger of being a user, or just a shock to the system that something like this did indeed happen. But it was mostly sorrow and anger that something like this happened to her. |

...Nothing he could do here would make Daichi feel better about this situation. So, he approached Seiji instead. "I want to come with." His voice was flat, though there were hints of grief and helplessness. He needed to get out, to at least do something other than just stand in a hospital room. So he would go with and do something to help. |
