Hanako Ito…ready to see visitors? Hell no! From what he heard? Her condition was stable, Beyond that? Who the fuck knows? A savaging like that was thankfully unusual even in Nagashima.

He tried to clamp down his hands on Machi's shoulders before he gave the bad news (and to her anything other than 'you can see her right now, she's fine would be bad news), if she was getting this worked up, he wasn't sure how she'd react.

"Ito-san's…they're doing all they can for her, we can't say anything for sure yet. But you'll get news on her condition as soon as I do, but if you barge in there right now? You're just going to get in the way of the people trying to help her."

At least Shin didn't say this was related to Sadako yet. But was it better or worse there were more people out there who'd do this kind of shit to people?

"Calm down. You aren't helping."

"Don't--get in the way! If the hospital staff--if the hospital staff has t' hold any of us back, they can't do what they--what they gotta t' save--Hanako!"

"What the fuck is your problem?! Stop that so they can do their jobs!"

"Geez, Machi-chan STOP! How the fuck will this help her!?"

"Ito-san's…they're doing all they can for her, we can't say anything for sure yet. But you'll get news on her condition as soon as I do, but if you barge in there right now? You're just going to get in the way of the people trying to help her."

They don't get it, do they?

Upon the vision of that little girl quietly sitting by the receptionist's counter, dangling her legs, Machi finally froze. She was still not composed, and rather unfocused. Her dull gaze glanced at something that wasn't there, as her brain tried to finally process the information that was reaching it in a rational manner.

You don't care if you get in the way. You just need to see your so called best friend right here and now, come hell or high water. Everyone is wrong and you're right, yes? Who cares about the various hospital staff willing to help her, or the several friends here to visit her, every bit as worried as you are.

"T-That's..." She muttered reflexively, her arms falling to her sides, and she looked down. To a bystander, it would seem as if she lost her strength and just gave up, not at all a talk with a certain Shadow of hers.

A lie? Really? Look around. You're soooooo concerned over your dear Hana-chan leaving you, that you don't give a fuck about anything else! You're nothing but a pathetic attention whore at this point. But, by all means, go. Barge into her ICU room, and interrupt her emergency treatment at your own leisure. Let's see how many people will stay with you then.

"I... I'm sorry... I..." She muttered, as one single tear descended upon her face. For as much as it pained her to admit... That asshole of a child was right. "Excuse me..." She didn't even notice Yuki's bloody face, walking right past him and aiming to go outside. She needed some fresh air...

In the meantime, Yuki hadn't payed attention to the scene at all due to his own bloody nose, and someone approaching him. "B-Brain damage...?!" Despite the unlikeliness of it, he still looked horrified at the thought, and looked around avidly for some sort of medical staff that could help him. He couldn't help but wonder why it had stopped hurting so badly all of a sudden, as he was pretty sure the blow had broken it...

Shin sighed. Of course she wasn't ready to receive visitors -- it had happened just recently. Living in a world where healing was near-instantaneous and near-perfect had spoiled him.

"Fine, then," he said to Benkei. "Is there some kind of waiting room that we can occupy? I doubt these young people will want to leave, and I doubt you need us gumming up your entryway."

Across the room, Naoya paused when someone he didn't know asked who he was. He looked at Taketo, then at Alan, squinted for a second at them both in turn, and then said: "M' name's Naoya Imoto. Friend 'f Ito-san? I run...y'know, run th' Ichiban Metalworks?"

He turned back to Yuki, and said: "Calm down, there's...there's a quick 'n' easy way t' check. Look over here f'r a second." He gestured at his own face and looked to make sure the boy's pupils were the right size. Of course, they would be -- there was absolutely no way he could have suffered a concussion, but since Naoya had distracted him with something unsettling he figured that it was his job to put the boy at ease.

"Yeah...yer...um, yer good."

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
Too much. Too much, too much, too much. Beaten, burned, set on fire. For all her attempts to calm Machi down, the only thing keeping Kyo from becoming a nervous wreck like Machi was simple lack of energy to do so--an unlikely perk of running rather than driving here. The girl looked around, her eyes locking onto faces and her brain attaching names to them and meanings to the words and without even waiting or asking permission, she found herself following Machi.

Or more accurately, she found herself coincidentally going in the same direction Machi was, because "outside" and "fresh air" just happened to be in that direction. She didn't address the other girl at all once she was out there; she simply slumped back against the side of the building near the door, and let herself slide down into a sitting position, until finally her head was on her knees...

...a red-haired girl rushed past the pair without noticing either of them.

Chika Nakadachi opened the door, looking around, clutching at her hand and covering it as best she could. It wasn't prudent to walk into a hospital bleeding and expect no one to want to look at the injury, so she did her best not to accidentally reveal it as she walked. She wasn't panicking; she wasn't particularly close to Hanako, after all, but even so, fear for a friend's life and all the distress that brought was enough to trigger the ring, if not strongly; it had actually let go a minute or so ago. She could talk, but she wouldn't risk using magic to close the wound in a place with so many people who might see.

She came upon the others, and stopped. Benkei was there, Naoya was there... Shin was there. A lot of people were here... some she recognized, some she hadn't. Chika hadn't realized just how many friends that odd, volatile girl had managed to make until now...

...Chika stepped forward. Her eyes fixed on Benkei, and Shin, and Naoya, three people here that she knew and trusted to keep a calm head and to tell her exactly what there was to tell. "...Is she...? Is Hanako-san...?" she began. Then, focusing on Shin, the police officer, if anyone knew what had happened it was him--"What--how did--what happened to Hanako-san?"

Upupupupu~!
Aleph calmly walked into the hospital through the door that Chika came out of. It would be utterly absurd and completely illogical to say that Aleph wasn't as shocked as everyone else about this. His Persona on the other hand said different.

This is all her fault! That fucking Machi bitch. If only she wasn't so stubborn and just forgaven us, we could've actually done something about it.

It's not her fault, Adonis. And what could we have done about it? She was probably attacked by those lyncher guys everyone kept talking about and happened right behind our backs and under our noses.

So, there was obviously nothing Aleph could say that would calm anyone down about the situation. Honestly, Aleph had enough of failed attempts at proper elocution for now. Aleph looked around. Machi was here, obviously, much to Adonis' chagrin. Though, she seemed to be heading for the door. Aleph didn't even care whether or not it was because of his presence or she just needed fresh air.

Godspeed, Machi Kijimuta.

There was also Chika, Kyo, Naoya, Shin, Shou, Alan, Benkei, and also other dude from the park who apparently got punched in the nose and is now being helped by Naoya. People were just ending up in the hospital every day, weren't they?

Also, it wouldn't hurt just to try and help the dude.

Feeling pity for the nosebleed boy, Aleph proceeded to walk towards Naoya and the boy with the bleeding nose. He held out his hand towards the boy, offering a handshake. "Hi." Aleph said. "You okay?"

"...Oh. Right..." Was all the response Taketo could give Naoya. Of course Hanako had friends that he hadn't met. Why could... he not think straight right now...

The sudden quiet as Machi's yelling stopped provided an almost surreal atmosphere now. As if something horrible had just happened.

Kinda late for that, wasn't it...

Truth was? He didn't feel like saying much. He had heard of Naoya's name around Bedlam. Obviously he was a persona-user. Did he heal Yuki?

Regardless, the boy looked like he still required some attention. Specially after the brain damage comment.

Machi and Kyo had gone outside, new people kept arriving, including Aleph, who approached Yuki for... no apparent reason. Taketo didn't really react to anything. He just grabbed a seat in a nearby bench, looking around for anything to distract him from the horrible waiting.

It was like a nightmare he wasn't able to wake up from.

"Ah..Machi-chan.." The boy tried to speak as her shoulders slumped. He wanted to say something to help her, something to at least comfort her minimal...But what could he say really?

Her best friend might just die....

He found himself unable to speak as she rushed past him. His gazed tracked her for a moment before he finally looked towards Benkei. "Ah...thanks..Benkei-san." The boy let out a small sigh. "I'm gonna go check on her okay?" With a small nod he walked after Machi, not really knowing what the hell he was even going to do.

He gave a small nod towards the people he knew, hell even Aleph. As much as he hated that idiot, he could at least sympathize with him.

Finally he arrived outside and looked around. It surprised him to see Kyo as well. Now his attention was split. Still, it wasn't like he could say anything to help either of them. The only thing that would make them feel better was a "Hanako is fine!"

Slowly the boy began to feel heavy. Maybe he needed the air as well...He honestly didn't even have the energy to be optimistic anymore. Finally he slid down the wall near Kyo, unable to say a word.

Alan simply nodded as Naoya spoke. He knew of the guy, well at least his name...But that was about it. He barely even noticed Machi stop yelling, the sound of his own pounding head pretty much drowning everything out. He took a small breath to calm himself, again being drawn out of his thoughts as he noticed Taketo move away.

Slowly, the boy shuffled after him, silently sitting next to him. Truth be told he found himself relying on Taketo more and more as of late, just being next to him helped a little. Plus it seemed like Taketo needed a distraction as well...

With a small sigh, his hands twitched towards his headphones, but rather then slipping them on to escape the world, he instead took them off and nudged Taketo. "Here..." He held out both the headphones and his mp3. It had always been his way to drown out the world and forget, even for a few moments. He didn't know if it would help Taketo or not, but he wanted to at least try.

-insert something witty here-

Isoroku felt like she was invisible at the moment because none of them seemed to have noticed her presence, but she didn't really mind it at all. After all, with Hanako's hospitalization, getting herself involved in unnecessary squabbling might cause some conflicts sooner or later. And visitors still weren't allowed yet, so it might be hard to see Hanako.

Being ignored by others somehow helped Isoroku to think about something. Why did this happen? Who did this to Hanako? Did this have something to do with Nishiyo's involvement? No, that sounded a little too convenient. As she made herself busy thinking about those things, she leaned herself against the wall not too far from the group, folding her arms across her chest.

"Yeah, sure, over here." He answered Shin, and repeated, a bit louder and pointed out the waiting room to direct everyone so they wouldn't continue making a scene in the lobby.

"Hey, Shou, you know where to find everyone if you decide to come back, right?" Okay, things were starting to get orderly again. That was…Chika, right? And Isoroku?

"Hey, Mayoi-san? You're here 'cause you heard about Ito-san too, right?" If she heard him the first time, she knew exactly where to go. "Don't worry, whatever needs to be done for her, is being done." Seeing her reminded him of the biggest thing they had in common: chiefly an enemy. This wasn't Sadako's handiwork, she wasn't the sort to do anything so bold out in the open, he was sure of that.

Meanwhile, the train had just pulled in not far from the hospital. That meant a whole other crop of people concerned with Hanako's well-being had come. Counted amongst them was Seiji Fujiwara.

He felt, numb. He was too stunned by the news to even get worked up. He usually just rolled with the punches but when he got the news… she'd been attacked and that badly? No one knew for sure why, but the uncomfortable possibility was someone was seriously going after users.

But why Hanako? Why did it have to be her? She'd done all sorts of crazy things, and come out just fine, but by all accounts, she was nearly killed just walking down the street. And now she might…

No! No, she had to be okay, right? He found her annoying, or frightening most of the time but Seiji came to realize: He had taken her for granted for always being there. It made him feel a bit sick. It made him so stressed out, he walked rather stiffly and rigidly to the hospital. Past several of her friends. Too dazed to look up or really notice them.

Daichi Nakamura felt sick to his stomach. He felt like vomiting, he couldn't bring himself to believe it had really happened. Mixing into the feeling of sickness was fury. He couldn't believe some assholes had attacked Hanako, he wanted to find them and just go to town on them. He walked quickly, noticing Kyo and Machi outside. This wasn't the time nor the place for greetings though. Instead he just held the door open for those who were following him in. Seiji had already entered, but there were still a few that hadn't. He inhaled deeply, still trying to process what had happened.
