A tuneful chime echoed throughout the school buildings as students walked into their blocks to find their classrooms. Among the second-year students was a blue-haired girl who, by the way she was stopping every so often to look at the class numbers, was a new student. After reading the small scrap of paper in her hand detailing where to go, she finally found her classroom, 2-3. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she opened the door and walked in, standing next to the teacher's desk and trying as hard as she could not to look at the floor. When asked to introduce herself to the class, the girl spoke in a cheery tone (albeit more than a hint of anxiety mixed in too). "Hello everyone, I'm Tsuchiya Miyo. I'm pleased to meet you all." She bowed politely, a smile on her face. "Um... I love baking, videogames and helping people, and I hope I make some friends here. "... T-that's all I wish to say." Miyo ran a hand through her fringe nervously. Having a whole class staring at her was rather unsettling. But who knows, maybe her future friends are staring at her. That makes it a bit less unsettling! |

Hello, school. Don't skip today, don't skip today, don't skip today... She yawned, stretching over the desk. She crossed her legs under the desk and put a hand under her cheek, a bored look covered her face as she looked to the front of the room. However, things did get a bit more interesting. A new student had arrived, a female with blue hair who seemed to be extremely nervous and appeared to be forcing an optimistic tone. Sakuya started to tap her cheek with her fingers, her black nails shining as she taped rhythmically. 'Tsuchiya...Miyo, nice.' Sakuya seemed to like the girl thus far, even if she did seem a bit shy. Potential friendship? Sakuya was always willing to make new friends if they seemed interesting to her. |

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"

In the back of the class, toward the corner, one boy sat with his boots up on his desk, chair tipped about as far backward as it would go. There seemed to be some rather skillful balancing going on here, as there was nothing behind Shane Spencer to actually support the chair; it leaned back on its two rear legs with Shane himself, arms behind his head, as the only thing keeping the chair from toppling backwards. His school uniform was sloppy and casually worn, but unremarkable; the only really interesting affectations to this boy's appearance were his dyed-blue hair, which hung in a ponytail, and his boots, which were crossed on the desk in front of him. They were very stylish boots, zipped up in the front and the back, made of black leather or leather-like material, with buckles instead of laces to keep them fastened. Shane watched the introduction with a slightly bored expression. Hrm. She was cute, she liked baking and she liked videogames. The looks alone were a seven-to-eight, plus an extra point for blue hair (was it natural, though?). The hobbies were worth at least another point. It was mildly surprising to Shane that he couldn't find it in him to be interested. Shane yawned into his hand and let his eyes drift about the classroom... there were a lot of transfer students in this town. He'd been mildly puzzled at first by the lack of interest when he had introduced himself, but he understood these days. Even foreigners were old hat, corporate heiresses weren't uncommon either... Bah. When the world's filled to the brim with outrageous people, outrageous just becomes boring... |

Miyo was somewhat surprised by the lack of interest, or even reactions. The class looked very... laid-back, to say the least. Heck, there was even a boy at the back of the class, not paying attention with his boots on his desk! Was that even allowed? ... Well, she had to admit, they were pretty cool-looking boots. Miyo noticed a girl with blue highlights in her black hair and an empty seat next to her, which was coincidentally also in front of the boy. Seeing as they were the two students she noticed right away, she went over to the empty seat and sat down. Miyo hoped to strike up conversation with them later. |

Sakuya glanced casually way from the student towards a boy in the back of the room. She saw him...balancing the chair. '...Impressive...' she admitted. The boots were also nice, a bit hard to look away from actually, they stood out in the dull classroom. Sakuya folded her hands and put them under her chin, so that her nails were facing in opposite directions from each other. The new girl sat down beside Sakuya. 'Ah, sweet. Someone with blue hair couldn't possibly be boring right...?' she did wonder if it was natural but it didn't really matter that much to her. She waited for a chance to talk to her. She glanced in her general direction with a snarky look. It would be nice to have a female friend in the classroom, she really didn't know anyone that well yet. She hadn't been here too long herself yet. Edited by NocturneSR, Sep 4 2013, 06:12 PM.

The seat was close enough to Shane's position in the room that he knew he'd easily be able to pick up on any conversation that happened, and even chime in every now and then, if he felt assed to. Shrugging his shoulders, pulled his legs inward, nimbly slipping them under the desk, gripping the desktop with his hands both to prevent the chair from toppling backwards and to prevent it from thudding to the ground. Once his feet were on the floor where they belonged, he lowered the chair; it landed on the floor not with a bang but a soft, controlled thump. He then proceeded to lean on this desk, supporting his head in one hand and giving the new girl a dry smile. "Welcome to a new part of your life, one you'll no doubt file away with the rest of your repressed memories by the time you're twenty-seven," he offered. "Pro tip: whatever you do, don't skip your history homework. (Trust me.)" |

Miyo noticed the girl with the blue highlights look at her, but she didn't feel inclined to start up a conversation, especially during a lesson. She got the feeling she wanted to talk though, which in Miyo's opinion was making things a little awkward... Curse her shyness. She heard the blue-haired boy speak to her and jumped a little in her seat. She turned to face the boy and smiled warmly. "I plan to do my homework regardless, but I'm sure the school's not as bad as you make it to be. May I ask for your name?" |

She thought that the student came off a bit egotistical, but not enough to make her have passive aggressive feelings, she actually found him really cool. Or maybe it was just a wonderful distraction from the boring class... 'He even gives good advice' she joked sarcastically. Sakuya gave an amused smile in the general direction of Miyo as the awkward student jumped in her seat. "A bit brutally honest aren't you" she giggled, responding to the male's comment towards high-school. She had no doubt in her mind that it was a correct statement though. |

"You'll see what I mean about that history homework once you see Yuu-sensei in action," Shane said lazily. "The infamous 'Spear-sensei...' anyway, name's Shane Spencer." He glanced at Sakuya. "And well, you know what they say. Honesty's the best policy, unless the question's does this make me look fat and the honest answer is 'yes.' Or does the saying just stop at 'best policy?' I forget, I was never good at Philosophy class." He paused, then decided he just had to ask. "Don't take this the wrong way--Miyo, right? That hair," he asked, leaning over a bit to get a better look. "That doesn't look dyed. Is that natural?" |

'Spear-sensei?' That's an odd nickname to give a teacher. I wonder what he's like... Miyo thought about Shane's name for a few moments. It certainly wasn't Japanese, nor did he look Japanese either. She'd have to ask about his origins sometime. Regardless, she smiled. "That's a nice name Shane-san. It's a pleasure to meet you." She looked over at the girl sitting next to her who had commented on Shane's introduction. She looked rather tired, but had a smile on her face that put Miyo's worries at a temporary ease. "Oh, I apologise, I... I didn't see you," she lied, trying not to sound rude for ignoring her. "May I ask for your name too?" Miyo felt a little uncomfortable as Shane leaned over to look at her hair. "U-um, it's natural," she replied shyly, glancing to the side and brushing her fringe away from her eyes. "My father's got a slightly darker and duller shade, but for some reason I got a lighter shade. Genetics are odd like that, aren't they? Maybe my mother had light hair, I can't tell from the photo in my locket because it's black-and-white, darn artsy effects..." She suddenly realised that she had rambled when this Shane guy probably didn't care and quickly apologised. "S-sorry, I don't know what made me say all that..." |
