"It seems like its favorite has been the transfer students." Alan let out a small laugh. That would actually kind of suck...Maybe he should keep an eye on the transfers? Both Shou and Alan nodded as she spoke of needing help. they were both up for it apparently. Shou, knew he could be there a lot, but not all the time. He still had to continue stealing. Ever since his Benefactor had cut him off he had been working hard for extra cash. It was too bad that almost none of it went to him. But that was why he had to do it. Alan on the other hand has a job he had to keep up with, not to mention he might be moving soon anyway... Neither of them said anything though, they would figure something out. "Me or Setsuna-san can pick you up tomorrow if you'd like. I'll escort ya whenever I can too. I'm sure the others are up for it also." He let out a small laugh. Suddenly, he felt Machi squeeze his hand. He looked at her, noticing her stare, and immediately lowered himself to hear what she had to say. Shou nodded, although his own mind was practically flooding with questions. What did she need to talk about? Why was she hesitant when she spoke? Wait was it about the chart? Shit Shit Shit why did I look? You are clearly freaking out! Pay attention to her. Shou immediately refocused. What had he meant? Then he saw her face. She looked scared almost, Shou had just missed the eye flash, but he knew enough to know that it was there. This time, he gave her hand a small squeeze. I'm here okay? Am I gonna have to give you relationship advice the whole way? Alan on the other hand had been looking at the two curiously when Machi's eyes had flashed. He squinted closer for a minute. What in the hell had that been? Maybe he was just tired...He rubbed his eyes for a moment. It was gone now...Maybe a trick of the light? After a moment, Alan finally spoke up again. "Ah well, aside from work I am free a lot so give me a call if you need an escort." Edited by Ket, Mar 29 2013, 04:17 AM.

"Oooh! Oooh! Me! Mememe! Please!" Hanako said anxiously, volunteering herself to ferry Machi around. Afterwards? She offered all the reasons why she'd be so well-suited to the task. With a big smile, Hanako began with reason one. "There's someone I visit here every day anyways, so I'll be sure to be here. and she's gonna need my help anyways. Plus? Y'know, it'd be inconvenient for having to go everywhere with her. a girl's gotta keep some secrets from the boys!" Hanako knew all about that! Now that the mood brightened, she answered Shou's question that she didn't mention before. How could she be so rude as to fail to answer Shou's question? "Oh, yes, there's a place I work at, Well Alan-san too but he's a performer, I'm wait staff, I'm pretty sure the waitresses there are ninjas. That's a thing in nagashima. Ninjas. " Now, hmmm. She knew Machi wanted to speak to Shou, but she didn't want Alan to feel bad either what to do, what to do. IDEA! "Oh! Alan-san! Come with me, will you? I ah, um, sorry. But there's this nurse who likes guys with an English accent, When I told her I had a friend from there, she twisted my arm, you gotta meet her!" It's not like she was a maneater or anything, so it might be fun! Edited by Nonsequitur, Apr 3 2013, 09:21 PM.

Refraining from sighing with relief once her hand was squeezed, she merely mouthed 'ookini' and gave Shou an insecure smile. This was going to be bad. Very bad. And then her teasing bone tugged at her mind again. "Ara, Hana-chan, so eager to spend time with me~" Oh yes. That nickname would stick. She laughed it off, now assuming a more serious tone. "Ookini, I'll make sure to repay you once I'm not stuck in an act. Alright?" But then, there went the good mood, as she was struck with jealousy over what she said. 'You're not allowed to be jealous, you know?' '...' Machi couldn't say anything about it. It would be too suspicious. Instead, her gaze fell upon Alan, as if waiting for a reply, staring at him 'expectantly'. And somewhat menacingly. |

Shou simply nodded and smiled. His mind immediately began to think of what to say. He knew he had apologize of course. But what else? He knew she expected him to say something else. Hell, he was pretty sure he knew what she was worried about. Though his thought process stopped once Hanako spoke. Hopefully she can hook him up. Shou actually grew a confused look for a moment. Then you won't have to kill him. Alan looked rather nervously from Hanako to Machi. Machi was giving him a look. He didn't know what it meant, but it kind of freaked him out. What exactly was she expecting him to say? ...This is stupid. What? Just...just go with Hanako. "Well if you already said that I would meet her I suppose it would be rude not to go." He let out an incredibly nervous laugh. After a moment, Alan flashed a look that said "I'm sorry" to Machi and was right about to leave when he suddenly saw Shou's look... That guy. His look, what did he have to be sorry for? He was just going to hit on some nurse right? There's nothing wrong with that. Unless he likes someone else~ "Oh really? That's pretty cool!" He exclaimed to Hanako as he pushed his own jealousy down. He had to remind himself to let go of it. He trusted Machi. Alan grew a little relieved as the look passed. He wasn't entirely sure what it really was. It was a "STOP MAKING PUPPY DOG EYES AT MY GIRLFRIEND" look. Honestly? You should go ahead and listen to him, moron. This was getting uncomfortable. "L-let us go." |

Oh, There's so much going on that she probably doesn't get! But she's right in the middle of this now! It involved two of her very best friends in the world, and a love triangle, right? Were I this Shou boy, in his exact position? I would think it would be best to eliminate Alan. "Bu…but we like Alan!" She weakly whined to her Persona. At least she had her back turned to Machi at the time. As do I, This is completely unacceptable. "Um, so, anyways! Come on Alan-san!" She ushers him out the door, she follows, and before it closes, she points to her own eyes with her index and middle fingers, then to Shou. The unspoken gesture for 'I've got my eyes on you!' |

As if by miracle, Machi managed to hide the disappointment and longing she felt when both left. However, her eyebrow arched at Hanako's movement. Did she not trust Shou? Machi trusted Shou with her life, she knew that much. "Kannin na." She said, as soon as the door had been shut. "Take a wild guess why I had that accident. I should've controlled it better..." The grip on the railing was still tight, but her eyes were now turned away to the window, watching the sunset in the horizon. "And... I understand if you want nothing to do with me anymore." She referenced the chart. "Ookini for keeping up appearances in front of my friends... But I know what you saw wasn't pretty. You needn't pretending anymore." |

Alan almost managed to trip over his own feet as he began walking away from the room. After recovering, he noticed that his shoes were untied. "ah, sorry Hanako-san. I will catch up." As he bent down, his ears began to pick up Shou and Machi's conversation. "Its not your fault Machi-chan." Shou spoke after a moment. "Its not like you've ever dealt with this thing before." He shook his head slightly. "Honestly your handling this way better than I would." He could barely handle a Persona in his head, let alone a shadow... Her next statement caught him a tiny bit off guard. He was expecting more of a "this was none of your business" talk rather than shame. After a couple seconds Shou finally spoke up. "Do you think that I would leave you over something like this?" Shou tilted his head for a moment, frowning slightly when she began to stare out the window. "Hey," His hand squeezed hers yet again. "None of that is your fault Machi-chan. What kind of person would I be if I held this against you?" For a moment, he tried to catch her eye. "I really care about you Machi-chan. I'm not leaving." He hesitated for a split second. "Besides...there's stuff in my own past I'd like to remain buried." Whoa whoa, cool it kid. This may not be such a good idea. "But...I want to tell you." |

"Oh, it's no problem waiting!" She said, cheerfully. She waited patiently with her hands behind her back. "I mean it's not like there's a big rush or anything, take all the time you need, Alan-san!" As luck would have it, the person that she was going to take Alan to find, a Nurse by the name of Rin Tachibana appeared. She was a tall, somewhat plain-faced woman with short cut hair in her early twenties. "Oh! Tachibana-san! Hello! Do you got a minute?" Hanako waved her down. |

"It is my fault." She immediately countered, a hint of anger flashing in her expression. "I told you I'd try to keep that damn shadow under control." Machi immediately regretted cursing out loud, that's not something she was used to doing. "How am I handling it, even? I got into a road accident! I could've died right there. How is that getting a handle of things?" She let out a deep sigh, willing the rage to disappear. "You look normal, and normal people would, so yes, yes you do." Her grip tensed up with the squeeze. "I wouldn't hold it against you. Being with someone like me makes things... limited, and I understand if you want more. Many do, after all." Her gaze returned to him as he spoke the final line, and she shook her head instinctively, earning herself a wince. "You don't have to tell me anything... Please, don't feel like you owe me that. You really don't." |

Alan paused for a moment as he heard the word "shadow." That's what landed her here? So she had to deal with a shadow now? Questions began to buzz in his head again. He couldn't even focus on tying his shoes anymore as they went on. Shou winced slightly as the girl's anger showed. "I'm just saying that this is something you've never dealt with before." He frowned as she spoke of dying. "I know..." He wanted to do something other than just hold her hand, but she was just so banged up that he'd end up hurting her. He had to suppress a smile as she spoke of him being normal. He was far from it. Far far FAR from normal. She'd probably know why it didn't matter if he told her... Seriously... I'm doing this Jack. Honestly he was never sure if he ever even wanted kids. To him, his family name was tainted. Even though he changed it, it would always be there..."I'm not even sure if I ever wanted more." The smile he was suppressing almost immediately faded. After a moment, he shook off the thought and smiled. "I'm happy with you and I want to stay with you." "I don't have to yeah...But I want to." He ended up looking out the window himself. "So, please let me tell you." Alan was staring intently at the floor. What were they talking about? Leaving because he wanted more? What did she mean? And what was so important about Shou's past? He realized if he sat there for too long he'd look suspicious but he just couldn't pull himself away from the conversation. |
