The first thing the tea lover noticed upon waking up from her rather forced slumber was white. The room she was located in was dripping with whiteness. 'Where am I...?' Noticing she wasn't racing down the road anymore, she frowned as the adrenaline wasn't coursing her veins anymore. Instead, aching pain made her nerves tingle everywhere. "Ngh..." She groaned at the discomfort, her eyes barely able to analyze her own injuries, still quite disoriented with the injury to her head. "Oh, Kijimuta-san! You're awake." A man, his lab coat as white the room itself, was heard soon after the groan. He was holding a dossier, going through the various injuries listed. "Where... Where am I...?" She voiced the question ringing in her mind, her eyes adjusting to the light of the sunset penetrating the window. "In a hospital. You were in a road accident earlier this afternoon." Finally, she was able to see her own state. Many locations of her body were wrapped up and/or with casts, namely one of her legs, her midsection, a shoulder, and her neck. She could also tell there was some sort of bandage around her forehead. "You were lucky, bike accidents normally are much worse than this. I'm afraid your metallic companion didn't quite make it though." Her frown was now very visible as she heard her dear Kawasaki had been destroyed. After a sigh, she forced herself to ask, surrendering to her wounds. "How lucky are we talking about?" "Well, when it comes to broken bones, there's only your left leg and a few ribs on both sides." The doctor then flipped a page. "There are a few fractures here and there on some others ribs as well. The main injuries are bruises and sprains, mainly on your shoulder, neck, and a bump on your head." He pointed with his pen towards the bandage covering the wound that knocked her out. "You'll be fine, so long as you take it easy." Machi considered using Dia to nurse herself back to good health; however, she quickly discarded the idea. It would be far too suspicious to be suddenly healed of bone and muscle injuries. "We made a call to your emergency contact. Shou Yoshida, was it? He said he'd come right away, so, he should be here soon." The doctor put the dossier down by the end table to the left of her. "If you excuse me..." And with that, she was left alone in the annoyingly white room. Her eyes wandered to said dossier. Its contents were not only of her current condition, but of her medical history as well. Everything was there - from simple things like her blood type and simple cuts and bruises she received treatment for in elementary school, to serious things, like the pregnancy tests that led to the discovery of her being barren, and the clinical depression diagnosed back in middle school. Machi closed said eyes and sighed deeply, forcing herself to face the white ceiling once again. She wanted such bad memories to go away, and to be taken into a peaceful slumber until all her problems were gone... Edited by Natscookie, Mar 28 2013, 11:56 PM.

Shou Yoshida grit his teeth as he sped down the road. He had received the call just as he was about to leave kendo practice. Alan had been there with him as he got the news of Machi's accident. They had both ended up sprinting out of the school. Shou, being the faster of the two quickly pulled away, eventually leaving the poor boy in the dust. He would eventually leave him further in the dust once he found an open car. Not having a hood was like asking for it to be stolen. He had done a couple joyrides in the past so he already knew how to drive. Eventually he ditched the car a few blocks away and practically sprinted into the hospital. It didn't take him long to get her room number. As he walked into the room, he gasped slightly at the girl's condition. "M-Machi-chan." He muttered seeing that the girl's eyes were closed. He stood in the doorway for a moment before finally walking in and sitting down. Meanwhile, Alan was running down the street towards the hospital. This was what he gets for not getting SOME form of transportation. Shou was nowhere in sight. Honestly how did that kid run so fast? that wasn't important right now. Maybe you should have seen if Hanako had a ride when you called her? He let out a sigh. He had called her as he left the school, telling her of what happened to Machi. She was her friend too after all, she should know. After a moment, Alan let out a heavy sigh and continued running. |

"Machi-san! Don't let it be too bad! Please don't let it be too bad!" Hanako, was already there at the hospital, visiting another…well, the person she was visiting would hardly consider Hanako a friend as it was her clumsiness that put her back in the hospital so soon after getting out. But it meant she was right there. She would've have arrived before Shou even, except that on the phone, she was so worried that she forgot the room number, and that meant that just like with Chika? She had to systematically check them all. When she got there, eyes wide with concern. She noticed Machi already had another visitor. "Oh, Um…I'm sorry." She lowered her voice and bowed. "I'm Hanako Ito, I'm Machi's friend." |

Machi's eyes opened once hearing a gasp by the doorway, finding Shou had appeared, just as previously mentioned. She would've smiled, if not for a dossier she had a particular dislike for within her field of vision. "Don't worry, Shou-kun. I'll be fine." Said eyes wandered back to the ceiling. 'Please, don't notice it.' Why? Scared of having your boy toy find out how useless you are as a woman? As soon as her visitor sat down, she outstretched her left hand, it belonging to her only movable arm, for him to hold. "When I'm out of here, I won't look like this anymore." She fully planned to heal herself once out of a doctor's watch. Persona was at least good for something. 'Hey!' And within a few minutes, the most adorable person on Earth walked into her room as well. Just how many people knew of her condition? "Oh, hey, Hanako-san." She put some cheerfulness in her tone despite her condition, not wanting to worry her friend. |

Shou smiled at Machi as he sat down, quickly taking her hand. "I got here as fast as I could." He let out a small laugh as she spoke. "Like I said, I'm gonna worry about you whether you like it or not." He smiled tenderly at her for a moment, then his eyes wandered over her form yet again. It looked so bad. She had to endure this until she got out? His eyes then wandered to a paper in front of him. Was this her chart? It listed her condition and previous... That...really sucks. He couldn't believe that she had to endure all this. Her mother dying, her father basically ignoring her, a shadow in her head a car accident...then...this? Still, he forced his eyes to wander again, trying to make it seem like he hadn't seen anything. He had just seen two major secrets in her life, he was sure that she didn't want it known. "I'm just glad you're okay." Suddenly, they had more company. It wasn't anyone he knew. He gave her a slight bow, although it was hard to do in his seat. "Nice to meet you Ito-san. I'm Shou Yoshida, her boyfriend." Meanwhile Alan was nearing the hospital. This was so frustrating, he felt like he was moving so slow. She was hurt. He grit his teeth and managed to run faster. His arms and legs were burning like hell at this point, but it didn't matter. He wanted to be there for his friend. Edited by Ket, Mar 28 2013, 04:23 PM.

"Machi? Are you alright? I just got word from Alan, he's on his way here." She didn't know there was a race between these two to get there. It wouldn't have mattered to her, much. Right now the only thing mattered now to Hanako was Machi, and how she was doing. She reached out and held her uninjured hand. "It's not too bad, is it? Oh, I'm so sorry Machi-san!" Her attention turned back to Shou when he mentioned. "Oh, um…I see." She gave him a little smile and a nod. The chart was the least important detail at all to Hanako. Unlike with Chika? She didn't have to look at it to know more about her friend, who'd she'd very much respect the privacy of. "Do you want a little time alone? I could like, text Alan and let him know I made it here, then." |

"Ookini." She muttered, without looking at him. Despite not visually noticing Shou looking at the chart, she could feel him tense up in her hold, fear washing over her body. 'Oh no...' Hah! Your days with him are numbered. She absent-mindedly nodded as the worry and fear started to chew away at her sanity, and then she noticed the hold switched from Shou to Hanako. Giving her friend a very weak squeeze, she forced a smile, despite her displeasure at Alan knowing of her condition. "It's okay, Hanako-san. I'm glad you're here. No need to worry about me..." To answer the question of how Machi was doing, it was clearly visible - her broken leg was being held up straight somewhat above her body and wrapped in a cast, broken; her right arm was tied to her chest, to prevent sudden movements that would harm her shoulder further; finally, her forehead was covered by a thin layer of bandages to keep the wound from opening up. Of course, her ribs were also a total wreck from the accident, but at least the respective bandages were covered by her hospital gown. |

Shou bit his lip for a moment as Machi turned away. With her ability to notice small things she had most likely noticed something. What could he do about it though. He'd just pretend he didn't see it until she asked him about it. Honestly he didn't care, but she didn't know that. Why the hell did you have to look? You are such an idiot! Jack was giving him relationship advice again...yay. Still, he kept his face passive, well more worried then passive. His girlfriend was in a hospital bed with several broken bones after all. Finally, Alan had reached the hospital. Finally he had gotten her room number. FINALLY he had reached her room. He took a moment to catch his breath before finally walking in. His brown eyes quickly flit across the room. Hanako was there, Shou, finally they rested on Machi. "Machi-san! Ah, how are you feeling?" |

"Alan! Don't worry! They put Machi on the good stuff! She's probably high as a kite right now!" Yes, that was Hanako's attempt at humor to lighten the mood. No, it was not very good. "A-hem. Okay then, shutting up now." She stepped aside with her hands behind her. At least with Chika she wasn't with a person she was pretty sure had every reason to hate her guts, and alone. Though seriously, they probably put her on some good shit. |

Indeed, she was on painkillers, though they weren't nearly enough to dull out the severity of her injuries. She felt quite disoriented as well, but she didn't blame that on the drugs; rather, on the wound on her head instead. "I think that'd be more enjoyable than feeling broken bones, that's for sure." She laughed in good humor at Hanako's phrase, but it was cut short as Alan walked in. Hah! Here comes the guy you were thinkin' of before getting whacked! Her gaze crossed his for what felt like the longest time, as her shadow kept on with its taunts. Was that a red tint in her cheeks? Finally, she snapped out of it, and forced a smile. "I've seen better days, though this wasn't the worst. I'll be fine." And of course, another thought just had to cross her mind. Honestly, it scared her even more if Alan read the chart. It would effectively cross her out as a potential partner, mentally and physically, should she get free any time soon. Which will totally happen~ "When I get out of here, I'll just use a few healing spells to clean up this mess..." Luckily, no doctor, nurse or hospital staff was within earshot. |
