Oh my God, I LEFT THE STOVE ON AT HOME!

Seiichi didn't understand why he came here. His dad lacked the power. He was nothing. So why was Seiichi standing here? Questions had no time for answers. He had to move now, while the doctors were distracted. Seiichi slipped past the doctors and into the room his Alzheimer's-stricken father was located. Satoru Akamatsu looked at Seiichi, who had washed away the make-up and the hair dye that disguised him as 'Hotaka Nakajima'. "Do I know you?" asked Satoru. "I'm...not sure." said Seiichi. "Oh." said Satoru. "Though, it's nice to have visitors...I don't get anyone in here besides the doctors." "Don't you have a family?" asked Seiichi. Satoru shook his head. "No...I was an only child...and I never got married." Seiichi was suddenly gripped by the urge to grab his dad by the shoulders, shaking him and screaming, pleading him to remember his son, his wife. But that kind of emotion was irrational, pointless. "I-I see..." said Seiichi. "What's your name?" asked Satoru. "My name's..." Seiichi bit his lip. No, even without the disguise, he wasn't the same person that Satoru Akamatsu once called his son. Hell, ever since he became Masquerade, the real 'Seiichi' had been dead, forgotten, never to be missed. He was Masquerade, Hotaka Nakajima...anything...anyone but Seiichi Akamatsu. "My name is Hotaka Nakajima." "It's nice to meet you, Nakajima-san." said Satoru. He paused, looking confused all of a sudden. "Er- what we were talking about?" Seiichi swallowed, his mouth dry. "Sorry. I have to leave." Seiichi turned and left the room, pulling the hood of his sweater over his head. I'm not his son anymore... thought Seiichi. He blinked back bitter tears as he exited the hospital. |
