"Haa? That's a weird question to ask. I'm not going to tell my life story, but certainly, I've thought about things like that before. Why can't you name anyone, Hirokun?" Yuzuki asked. She breathed deeply to recover from her pursuit and took a seat against chain-link fencing. She tilted her head slightly to one side. "Having issues with your friends?" |

Oh my God, I LEFT THE STOVE ON AT HOME!

"Kind of...I'm also having problems with myself. My life...my past...bad memories..." Hiroko shuddered as he remembered the feeling of his aunt's hands squeezing his neck. "My parents were always busy so I was raised by my aunt and uncle...problem is, my uncle was an alcoholic and my aunt, who probably loved me more than any other of my folks, was a manic depressive schizophrenic. One day I come home from school and my dear aunt walks up to me and-" Hiroko put his hands to his throat and pantomimed being strangled while making gagging noises. "Long story short: the one relative that loved me most got sent to the nuthouse, uncle hooked up, married and divorced so many different women I've given up remembering the names, and I'm a bit fucked up in the head from it all. And right now, I'd kill for a bottle of tequila..." He stepped back, away from the edge, and looked to Kyo. "My 'bum ass' is now away from the ledge. Scrotum dragging will not be necessary..." |

The moment Hiroko's focus shifted more completely from Kyo to the student council president, Kyo moved subtly closer to the edge--and nearer to Hiroko. She also moved her left hand behind her legs, screening it from view of either of the other two on the roof as she summoned her mask... though she wasn't really sure what help a Persona could be in this situation. Maybe she could use that "Marin Karin" thing to charm him away from certain death? The idea was promising, but it might not be such a hot idea to summon a scantily-clad, videogame succubus in broad daylight atop the roof of a high school. Glancing out over the edge, she could see that the place was already getting odd looks because of the ninja... "Oh, good!" Kyo said with a suddenly sunny (and relieved) smile when Hiroko finished his very depressing monologue. She was glad to know she wouldn't have to take such drastic measures. She totally would have if she had to, and damn the consequences, but it was good to know she wouldn't have to. "Well, mah boy, I can't help you with any of that, but one thing I can help yo' bum ass with is a bottle of tequila. I just so happen to have gotten one in from my 'supplier' this week. I can pick it up from my stash on the way home and get it to ya whenever, if you want." Edited by The One True Nobody, Nov 14 2012, 12:02 AM.

"I think that Hirokun was trying a figure of speech, but you two might find it worth your while to not talk about alcohol when when the student council is around. Not that I can stop you from talking about it, though," Yuzuki said with a shrug. She chewed on Hiroko's backstory tidbit for a bit before replying. "Well, bad things happen to everyone and we keep on living. Everyone has a few screws loose somewhere or another, though, so it's definitely not something worth killing yourself over. If you've made a mistake, then fix it! Ending your life isn't going to solve anything. Plus, it's a shame to die so young and so unhappy." |

"Actually, for awhile I once thought it would've been alright to die young." said Hiroko. "Death is pretty hard to screw up. But life's the opposite- it's far too easy to make mistakes with, and sometimes..." Hiroko remembered the day Satosu told him never to speak to Kinzaki again. "...sometimes you can't fix those mistakes..." Hiroko sighed and looked up at the sky. "Man, what I wouldn't give to have been born as somebody else..." Hiroko then shrugged. "Well, that's just wishful thinking...but thanks for talking me out of turning myself to street pizza, Kyo-san. You too, Yuzuki-san." Edited by fearjunkie, Nov 15 2012, 11:14 AM.

"Killjoy," said Kyo, with no real heat. Normally she got a bit shirty when people criticized her habits, but she figured Miss Bad Dude had earned a pass by helping convince this guy not to kill himself. And by bringing ninjas into Kyo's life. Ninjas could make anyone's day less boring. Kyo gave Hiroko a lazy thumbs-up and went back to leaning against the fence. She momentarily forgot to hide her mask from view as she moved, glanced down at it, blushed, and stuffed it into her uniform jacket, trying to look as if it were nothing special. Only Persona-users would know what the fuck it was, anyway, she figured. As she did it occurred to her: the one day she came to school and didn't smuggle a knife in... ninjas. Fucking ninjas. She sighed. Go figure. |

"Sorry, but it's my job during school. But sometimes people can say that I can be a bit hard of hearing~" Yuzuki said with a giggle. She snapped her glance towards Hiroko. "If you think that it's so great to die young, then you're just showing how young you really are, Hirokun. You still have years ahead of you and you're at an age where you scarcely know anything." She grinned. "You're a hundred years too young to tell me that something's impossible, Hirokun. So don't be silly. Stay with us and work as hard as we do, alright~? You're stuck with being yourself, so why don't you start by improving yourself before you try to improve your situation?" |

"...alright, I'll try." sighed Hiroko. Then turning to Kyo, he made a :3 face. "Can I take you up on that tequila offer?" whispered Hiroko |

Kyo muttered, "Absolutely. When d'ya want it?" She was, at least, glad that Yuzuki was flexible about it all, but she kept her voice low enough that the Student Council President wouldn't hear. She wasn't in the least bit interested in Yuzuki's sermonizing. There was logic to it, of course, but advice such as "improve yourself" usually came attached to all sort of over-moralized bullshit that Kyo didn't want anything to do with. She leaned against the fence, feeling the mask tucked roughly into her jacket's inner pocket, and became again aware of the soreness in her arms, legs, and the only half-healed bruises on her torso. Ow... ow... OW. Fighting Shadows was kind of like getting drunk. Awesome at the time... the next day, not so much. Edited by The One True Nobody, Nov 15 2012, 09:10 PM.
