An extremely large sinkhole has opened up near the intersection of 17th and Jizo. Considering the size and (apparent) depth, it's entirely possible that there's been a massive cave-in in the ruins.

If you live in or around this area, also be advised that there is a rather massive gas leak that is currently being addressed. As such, there will be no road flares to mark its edges, and please do not use anything that may ignite the gas within a block or two of this site.

Oh, that explains the hole.

Pardon me, but I have something to add to this. When the butterfly brought me to the ruins, it did so by causing me to climb into (and consequently fall down) a hole of some sort, and said hole was not far from the sinkhole you mentioned. I think whatever caused it may have also created a new entryway or two into the ruins. The problem with that is, the way the butterfly let me in was a one-way entrance: far too high for anyone to get back out of again. Unless Persona-users can fly or something.

The corridor into which the hole opens is caved in on one side. It's a bit too far from the sinkhole for it to have been the same cave-in or whatever happened, so I believe it may have been a structural weakness that gave up and died either on its own or in response to whatever caused the sinkhole.

It may not have been the only such entrance. Just so you know, I went looking for it shortly after escaping the ruins and the hole in question is just outside of the city, but it's in a pretty obscure spot: there's an old, abandoned building back there that looks like it used to be a small factory. The hole is in the area behind it, where the entire landscape dips into a sort of ditch. It's very out-of-the-way so I don't think anyone is likely to stumble over it accidentally even if only Persona-users would actually be able to fall in.

I am unsure exactly where in the larger scheme of the ruins it leads, but I would like to suggest that it be blocked off. It seems like it might make it more dangerous for the people that the butterfly... scouts out, if they were thrown into the ruins where I was instead of through the more traditional entrance. I was fortunate to encounter two more experienced Persona-users before I met up with any Shadows, but others might not be so lucky.

I will keep the gas leak in mind. Thank you for posting this warning; my Persona's magic is fire-based, so it's good to know when or where using it might cause a cataclysmic explosion. ^^'
