Oh my God, I LEFT THE STOVE ON AT HOME!

Sanjuro shrugged. "I dunno...what exactly happened after I got my ass kicked, I guess?"

"Well, obviously we beat that thing, of course," Jessica shrugged. "Hmm... maybe not 'beat' that thing, but it's our victory," she said. "And be thankful to Gretchen-chan, okay? She's the one who saved your rear back then. Without her help, you might end up being a pancake..."

And then, the door was opened and a seemingly feminine-looking boy entered. That was Isoroku, or rather Jun Kariyama, Isoroku's male alter-ego. As Jun, he was wearing a shirt and khaki Bermuda shorts. His hair was styled to look boyish.

"Ah, is that you, second banana?" Jessica asked. "You look like a boy."

"Don't ask. I need to keep up my disguise..." Jun sighed.

"You're dis-er, never mind..." Sanjuro decided it would be best not to question Isoroku.

Hehehe, just couldn't cut it, could ya? This is your life, Sanjuro Itoi...always being shown up. YOU'RE the second banana. You're the one who's always falling behind.

Sanjuro covered his face with his hands. "Ergh, stop talking...." grumbled Sanjuro, addressing his Shadow.

Jun noticed that Sanjuro was having problem with his other self. He kind of understood how it felt, because he once suffered the same thing as well.

"Sanjuro-san, I don't know what kind of problem you're facing, but I think it has something to do with your Shadow. Maybe it's noisy, maybe it's humiliating, but please remember that your Shadow is still you..." Jun said in such philosophical manner. "Like a wise man once said, you are allowed to lose against others, but you are not allowed to lose against yourself."

"Hmm... I don't know, but doesn't that sound familiar?" Jessica gave Jun a teasing smile. "Oh, I see..." her smile grew wider. "Did you play the original eroge one, Gretchen-chan? My, oh my... you're quite a pervert..."

"J-Jessica-san, n-not now..." Jun spoke to the former nun.

"But I already have lost to myself, haven't I? My Shadow pulled an Almighty rabbit out of its hat and blasted me halfway to kingdom come."
Sanjuro frowned, remembering his last run in with Masuyo. "Is it still 'just' to spare the life of someone you hate not because you forgive them, but because you refuse to stoop to their level?"

"It depends..." Jessica replied to Sanjuro's question. "It depends on how you view the value of someone's life," she said in such sisterly manner, despite no longer being a nun. "And ultimately, the choice is up to you."

"We don't really know your problem Sanjuro-san, but the only one who can solve your problem is no one but yourself," Jun said. "Most people here are able to face their fears by themselves. So, please work hard to solve your problem, Sanjuro-san."
