"You are perfectly right. Numbers, and all the countless way to play with them, are the tools necessary to analyze, predict and shape our future." The boy said with enthuasism to match Kinzaki's. "I'm glad I met someone who shares my viewpoint on the matter."

After Kinzaki's short description of her hobbies"Well, I'm not really a culture buff. I prefer scientific stuff, but I think you had figured this out already. Music is a great way to devellop one's mind, though.". He was starting to feel some affection for this cute, intelligent girl. Not outright love or true friendship: simply some sort of confortable like-mindedness.
"Oh, so you are into swords ? I'm quite fond of kendo myself. It's a great way to acquire some good reflexes." he said in a cheerful voice.

"The same goes for me as well, Sakuraba-san..." Kinzaki nodded.

"Yes, I agree with you," Kinzaki said when Akio mentioned about him being quite fond to kendo. "Umm... is it alright if we're talking like this? I hope we didn't disturb others here. We're in a library, after all..." she said worriedly.

"Well, if you wish to be sure not to disturb anybody, we can always continue our conversation outside. I'll just borrow my book. I can help with all those books if you want to carry them home, too.". Akio pointed at the rather impressive pile of books Kinzaki had brought on the table. He could always finish his book at home: it wasn't like it would exactly be missed by anybody back at the library.

"Ah, good idea, Sakuraba-san," Kinzaki agreed. "I guess I'll need to borrow these books as well. I want to finish reading them all," she said before she stood up. "And I'll really appreciate it if you can help me carrying these books..." she said, smiling.

Akio put his advanced math book on top of Kinzaki's pile before taking the pile in his hands. It was quite heavy, indeed, definitely not the kind of thing you would want to fall on your big toe. Akio began to walk towards the librarian's desk, making sure that none of the books would slip off the pile. He didn't want his or Kinzaki's books to be damaged. His foot suddenly hit something. What had it hit ? Did a spiteful classmate try to trip him up ? Did he stupidly hit a chair rung ? He would probably never know. The fact was that Akio was now trying not to lose his balance, the pile of books shaking in his hands like pudding during a heartquake.

"shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshit..." he muttered while trying to keep the pile straight. The pile was almost back to its normal, secure, vertical state when the teenager's fingers slipped. With the strenght of a meteor at terminal velocity, the pile of books relentlessly crushed Akio's right foot. It was... rather painful, to say the least. Akio's brain browsed through every curse word it knew before the boy repressed the urge to reduce the pain he was feeling by cursing his lungs out.
"HHHRRRRRRRRRMMGCCGFBVFTJKGGFFTdamn." Akio muttered in an almost serene voice.

Kinzaki could only watch as the books fell and crushed Akio's right foot. Blinking, she was silent for a few seconds before she managed to find the right words to say to the boy. "Umm... Sakuraba-san, are you alright?" she asked.

"yeahkiriharasanimokaybutcouldwepleasegetoutofhereforasecineedtoscreammylungsout." the boy uttered at a rapid-fire rate. Limping slightly, he picked the pile of books off the floor before putting it on the nearest table.
"illbebackinaminute." Akio added at the same rate. Not waiting for Kinzaki's answer, he walked out of the library and closed the door. Seconds later, a muffled stream of curse words in no less than three different languages was heard. Akio walked back into the library, still limping.
"Much better." the teenager said.

"I... see," Kinzaki responded after Akio returned. She smiled as she tilted her head. "Well, shall we go now?" she asked.
