Had Hibiki been of the less totally calm sort, he would have gotten rather angry and told Kaji that a small flick on the forehead caused significantly less harm than pile driving a student down to the ground. But Hibiki was the calm sort. For right now at least. He wouldn't try to perpetuate any nasty rumors about Kaji after this or anything. That would be mean. He just shrugged at Noriko and Kaji. "Sorry, sorry." Ryoichi's slap did in fact knock some sense into the boy, who slowly began to cry. "Dammit..." He mumbled, unable to grab Ryoichi's napkin. Kaji basically arresting him prevented that. "No one but me can see it..." It seemed like he was finally done with his little fit after the three had intervened. Hibiki smiled slightly at the soon to be dragged off boy. He was just angry right? Hibiki could relate. Except he was fucking smart enough to not go off on people in public. "Me? I'm Hibiki Kurosawa. Second year, class three." Ugh. He hoped Kaji wouldn't drag the rest of them with him to the office. "Anyways..." Hibiki began, taking a small step back. "That was pretty brave of you three wasn't it? If everyone here were more like that we wouldn't have these kinda problems huh?" He smiled. "Nice to meet all of you." |

Ryoichi watched the boy be dragged off sadly. He'd hoped things would get to this level. Things were really bad these days... He jumped when Hibiki addressed him. "Ah... yeah. It's pretty bad," he said vaguely. "Oh, I'm, uhh..." He groped at his tie, though his grip showed that he was clearly reaching for something else before remembering he didn't have it. "Ryoichi Shimizu. It's nice to meet you. We... haven't met before, right?" |

Kaji nodded. "Noted." He paused for a moment before continuing, "Thank you for your help." If he had been a bit more cynical, Hibiki's comment about the school needing more people like them would have prompted a laugh. A few months ago, a school full of Kajis would have resulted in a school full of dead Kajis. But thankfully, all it would result in now would be a school of tsunmoe. (Although that wouldn't really change Taiyoutono in the slightest, now would it? Gripping the student's arms a bit more tightly, Kaji frowned at the boy. "Are you going to come quietly or keep resisting?" Either way, Kaji would start leading him towards the office, leaving the cafeteria. Being in the spotlight like this kind of freaked him out a bit. |

"Maybe," Noriko replied to Hibiki's praise. Now that the ranting boy had calmed down, she felt a little guilty running over and fuming at him like she had. He was already restrained, so all she had managed to do was kick him while he was down. Seeing him unable to reach the napkin on top of it all tugged at her for reasons she couldn't explain. "Here." Tone much more gentle, the girl took the napkin from Ryoichi's hand and used to gently dab the boy's tears. "I'm sorry for fuming at you like that." Not that she didn't still want a piece of him for going off on that girl earlier, but Kaji's presence ensured he would be punished and at the moment he looked too pitiful to really act out on it. After a moment's hesitation, she backed away to let him be carried to the principal's office. Noriko slumped at the sight. That's the worst of it. Crimes don't just hurt the victims themselves, it hurts everyone who cares about them. That pain then creates more criminals. She stiffened. More reason for me to get to the bottom of everything. The teen spun on her heel to look at the other two boys. "It's nice to meet you, too, though I wish the circumstances could have been better." They seemed nice enough. "It's things like this that make me want to be a police officer, you know?" |

Hibiki watched as Ryoichi fussed with his tie. This kid was as weird as all the rumors had said he was. He was one of the Ryotrio right? That meant there were two more guys like him running around. Scary thought. "Mm, no I don't think we've met before." Hibiki said with a grin. In other news the boy was feeling very awkward that people were trying to wipe his tears. Kaji managed to successfully drag him away though. Hibiki looked Noriko over. "Feel pretty strongly about this stuff huh? It's good though. Most people don't have that kind of direction in their lives I think." He seemed surprised. "An officer? Corrupt police officials are certainly something we're not in short supply of. Seems like you'd be an actually good hearted officer though." Edited by Pokeh, Aug 9 2012, 09:18 PM.

Ryoichi just kind of sat off to the side, fumbling with his tie. The situation had diffused for the moment, so he didn't see any reason to hang around. Plus, he wasn't hearing anything from these two like he did with Kaji, so they probably weren't Persona users. He couldn't really talk about the recent events with them. He lowered his head at the mention of police officers. "It would be nice if this town had more kind police officers... ones who weren't afraid of the Yakuza. I don't think it'll ever happen, though." He turned toward Noriko. "But wanting to be one is a good step! I just hope that you don't turn out like they did, is all." |

Noriko nodded, looking somber. "Th-thanks. It's no secret that the majority of the police here are either corrupt or incompetent- usually both." She shook her head. "That just makes it all the more important to stay on the up and up, though. My father is a police officer- a good one. He says the reason we don't move is because this town needs what help it can get." It was certainly true enough. Not even counting the park incident, disappearances, kidnappings, and murders were extremely common in the city. Ninja attacks and other oddities unique to the town just compounded the problem. The few good cops were busy with their own internal affairs to help. The only reason the town hadn't fallen apart was that the average citizen in the town were perfectly capable of defending themselves. "It's part of why I'm looking into the park incident. With all these stories of magic people and aliens and what-not flying about, people who were victimized by it are going crazy trying to figure out what happened. I just think if I could help find out what really happened there, it would give them a little closure." Or at least stop the lynch mobs. They were few and far between, very small, and mostly incompetent, but that didn't mean they weren't there, and any existing at all was a bad thing. |

Hibiki watched as Kaji dragged the other boy away. A true stalwart soldier of justice that guy was. Kind of dense though. Not as dense as Ryoichi probably was though. Kid was still fussing with that tie of his. The kid seemed kind of strange at the mention of police officers though. Hibiki would have pinned him as being a pretty big fan of the justice system and justice in general, but the Ryotrio member was saying some surprisingly pessimistic things about it. Hibiki crossed his arms. "Definitely a good step." He finally agreed. "Information on the park huh?" Hibiki responded, a small smile starting to creep up on his face. "I knew you were a detective but I wasn't sure you'd been investigating that. I'm pretty interested in what really went on there myself. Maybe you'd want to exchange information sometime. I'm somewhat of a... connoisseur of information myself." He looked over at Ryoichi. "What about you?" |

Just as Ryoichi was thinking about the fact that they weren't Persona users, so he didn't really need to talk about recent events with them, they went ahead and brought those recent events up. He felt rather awkward. For someone like him that was entrenched in this whole business, it was rather obvious just what had happened. Someone had gone monster form in the park and killed a bunch of people. But to normal people, it just seemed like a freak accident... no wonder they were losing their minds over this. Attention suddenly turned on Ryoichi, and he lowered his hands from his tie. "Ah... I mean, it would be nice to know exactly what happened, so people would stop freaking out, but it's not something I'm terribly involved in. My cousin Yuzuki, though, she probably knows a lot." Did her memories go far enough to the recent events? Ryoichi wasn't sure, and he didn't want to ask. That was something that was rather painful for her already. |
