It was his off period, so Kaji, having gone back to being an office lackey, was skulking the always as per usual. His eyes darted around constantly, attacking every potential hiding spot of some runaway student. No delinquent would ditch school on his watch. None. He'd had some caffeine in the morning due to a late night, something he didn't usually drink, so Kaji was feeling significantly more aware than usual. In his hyper sensitive state, even the smallest noise wouldn't sneak past his ears. Even the sounds of a sneaking ninja. That was why when some random Tanaka clan members sneaked into the school and began breaking into lockers, stealing money and food and other various goodies, Kaji was prepared. He wasn't exactly unsurprised, but he was certainly ready. Within seconds, they had been chased away from the lockers, and Kaji was now just outside the school, furiously chasing the group of black-clad criminals. "Get back here!" He wasn't allowed to use his persona spells in public; or at least, he couldn't use the visible ones. A quick Masukunda slowed the group of ninjas down enough to the point where the persona users could catch up fairly easily. Of course, the ninjas weren't going down without a fight, and soon enough, a small battle broke out just outside the school. Kaji was vaguely aware that a few students were staring out the window and at him fighting ninjas, but he couldn't just let them get away with the wallets. Kaji Okawa was in the school courtyard fighting ninjas. It'd be quite the sight for anyone walking by. |

The class was trudging along at an extremely slow pace. It was a review day, and the teacher was currently going on a large rant about the current list of English words that they learned. At least four students were asleep. It was due to this boredom that Takeo noticed something out of the corner of his eye. It was a student fighting... ninjas? What. He looked around the room to see if anyone else had noticed, but so far everyone seemed to be either listening intently, day-dreaming, or just plain dreaming. The teacher was currently preoccupied with the blackboard and his current rant. Slowly rising out of his seat, Takeo tip-toed to the windows and shut all of the blinds so the class would not be disturbed. He then walked up to the teacher as his back was turned. "Excuse me, Sensei, but may I use the restroom?" The teacher didn't even look around to respond. "And then seal, which is a sea- oh yeah, sure." After bowing to the teacher, Takeo left the room. When the coast was clear, Takeo picked up a brisk pace down the hall and veered over to the broom closet. Without a weapon, he couldn't hope to help the student in need. He found a sturdy-looking broom, and was about to break off the handle when he got some interference from Berith. Don't deface school property! Takeo nodded and saw that the handle simply was screwed on, anyways. After detaching the handle, Takeo power-walked to the nearest exit of the building and jogged over to where he had seen the ninjas and the other student. He drew his broom handle and readied for combat. "Hello, Senpai. I am here to help you in this predicament." He cast a Tarukaja on himself and waited for any of the ninjas to make a move. |

These ninjas weren't particularly good; Kaji was almost completely sure that he'd be a better ninja. He dodged a clumsy punch from one before countering with a quick jab, followed by a deft step forward into his opponent's shin. The ninja crumpled like a wad of wet paper, leading Kaji to face the remaining three, who didn't exactly look very confident. One of them charged at Kaji, who was fending them off fairly easily, while the other two went for Takeo, hoping to beat him up and hopefully take him hostage. Kaji recognized the buff spell, and only gave Takeo a nod as he continued knocking out the ninja currently attacking him. He was worried by the fact that whoever this kid was, he had to deal with two ninjas, but that didn't worry him as much as one of the other ninjas pulling out a sword. The sword-wielding ninja aimed a slash at Takeo's stomach, while the other ninja dashed around the persona user, hoping to grab at his arms and hold him down. |

In the nick of time, Kakeru arrived, charging into the fight before he stood between Takeo and the ninja who wielded the sword, using his own sword (which wasn't unsheathed yet) to parry the slash. It was fortunate for him that he carried the nodachi with him all the time. It happened that he got himself lost yet again, and he coincidentally found himself at the courtyard while searching for his class. "Why ninjas?" Kakeru said before his eyes glowed, being infused with fear spell. He hoped that he could incapacitate the ninjas in fear. |

Takeo held the broomstick up to block the ninja's slash, but another one grabbed his arms, restraining him and making him drop the handle. Luckily, another student with a sword appeared and went after the ninja with the sword. Takeo nodded in thanks before assessing his own situation. Although he was held back, Takeo still had the Tarukaja powering him up, so breaking this ninja's grip wouldn't be too difficult a challenge. He yanked his arms forward to break free while simultaneously sending a kick towards the assailant's midsection. He then picked up the broom handle and held it up and ready for another attack. |

Kuzuki bent his head over his desk, eyes darting from the problems from the Math exercises on his book to the equations scrawled on a sheaf of yellow pad paper. His pen's scratching formed a steady rhythm with the clacking of chalk on a blackboard, several rows in front of him. He glanced up. The teacher was in the middle of a very long and very complicated series of equations involving hyperbolas. A quick check at his notes showed that whatever he was scribbling there was completely unrelated to the current lesson on advanced algebra: the fancy geometric symbols and sigils he had begun filling the other end of the blackboard just drove it in ever further. Okay. Kuzuki returned to his paper. Somehow, though, that one second of looking up had broken his concentration. His gaze drifted from the seats in front of him (five of them were asleep and one was close to nodding off), to the people in back (Takeshi waved from the rearmost row, glasses glinting) and then right to the window. Just in time to witness three students fighting off an army of ninjas. Instantly Kuzuki was up and in front of the math teacher, who turned around to regard him with eyes rimmed with black. "Professor Gillman," Kuzuki said, "could I use the restroom?" "Oh." Gilman rubbed both hands, glanced at the door. "Oh, yes, sure, Mr. Harada. Go on." He turned back to the blackboard, and by the time Kuzuki had grabbed his bokken and headed out the door he was back to his unfathomable arithmetic formulas. So soon? Kuzuki thought as he scrambled down the stairs. Have they found out where we go? ----- As he stepped out the door of the classroom, Kuzuki cast a Tarukaja on himself, basking in the warm glow of the spell. Without missing a beat, he leapt into the fray, yelling a battle cry and brandishing his bokken. |

Two other students had joined the fray, with Kuzuki's incredibly unsubtle battle cry alerting several ninjas to his presence and Kakeru's sudden entry actually going unnoticed for a few seconds, other than by the ninja he parried. Said ninja, surprisingly enough, seemed to recognize the fear spell and averted his eyes, ducking out of the way rather frantically. The ninja attacking Takeo was pushed backwards, and the rest of the ninjas followed suit, regrouping. Kaji looked over the group. There were about seven ninjas in total to 4 students. The ninjas were all looking up at the school, wallets still in hand. At this point, a huge number of students (and still no teachers) were staring out the window at the fight. The ninjas nodded between themselves before resuming the attack. This time, however, it came with a noticeable change in their demeanor: the ninjas were not nearly as clumsy or frantic in their attacks, instead working in unison with quick, precise strikes. Two, swords drawn, came at Kakeru, one letting loose with a simple forward strike while the other rolled past Kakeru, swiping at the swordsmans' side with his own blade. Only one attacked Kuzuki, his blade flying towards the student councilmember's wrist at an inane speed, attempting to disarm him. Two came at Kaji, who actually had to try to keep up with both of them, while two others rushed Takeo. One drew his sword while the other went for a fairly simple assault: rushing towards the student with enough brute strength to knock him to the ground. |

Takeo observed the boy with the wooden sword make a somewhat loud entrance before more ninja appeared. The ninjas once again split up to attack, but now almost everyone was outnumbered. Takeo poised himself to dodge the ninja that was currently running straight for him, but received another piece of advice. Don't you know what jousting is? You don't run, you go right at him and hit a weak spot! This piece of advice worried Takeo a little, since it carried some risks. However, if he simply jumped out of the way, he would be a sitting duck for the other ninja with the sword. He decided that it was better to try this tactic than sit around and wait to get knocked over. Takeo held the broomstick in one hand, twirling it as he contemplated his actions. He charged up a Double Fang, giving himself two powerful attacks lined up. He ran slightly to the side, but otherwise straight at the charging ninja, and when he got close enough, he'd take a jab at the ninja's torso before continuing past him to the second ninja with the sword. He would then twirl the staff around and hold it with both hands once he got close enough before thrusting the broomstick forward, using the second of the Double Fang on the ninja. Seeing the ninjas approaching him, Kakeru unsheathed his nodachi as he used the blade to parry the attack while his eyes were looking at both ninjas. Seeing that he was in disadvantage, he stepped back, retreating as he tried to figure out how to knock down these ninjas. He's still in the middle of school ground, where outright murder was off-limit, so he had no choice but to use non-lethal force. But he sure had a lot of ways to beat those ninjas without killing them, so he stood on one place, making a 'come to me, bastard' gesture while resting his nodachi on his shoulder. |

Only luck prevented the blade from shearing Kuzuki's hand off: nonetheless, the sharp pain that shot through his hand made him cry out and drop the bokken. When he looked down, he saw the blade had cut a deep gash into his wrist. Blood dripped from it, spattering the pavement. Trying to ignore the agony, he snatched up his bokken and awkwardly cast a Dia on his wrist. Slowly, the pain faded as the wounded flesh knit itself altogether. When the spell faded, he was left with a bleeding wound, a stiff wrist and the faint feeling of dizziness that came over him after every spell. But it was enough. Taking his bokken in two hands, he rushed the ninja that had thrown the sword at him, intending to either body-check him or knock him silly with a fierce strike. |
