WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
|
Hoshiko had been told that if she wanted to go to school and experience life as a normal teenager, she would have to be in disguise. The Samurai agreed, albeit begrudingly and allowed them to change her appearance. Her long raven hair had been tied into twin tails and dyed a bright green, her outfit had been changed to the standard school uniform, her right arm worn outside the blazer. It was a tic of hers, known to her by Ronin. As she stood at the school gates it was here her mind completely slipped. What was she going to do? She couldn't read. As she looked up at the imposing building and looked around for help she began to fidget slightly. Suddenly the Kaga became nothing compared with trying to learn when you couldn't read. |

Kakeru groaned slightly as he hastily walked towards the direction of the school while holding his trusted map. He made a mental note to keep the map at a place where he could easily find it. It seemed that since becoming an ordinary teenage boy, he turned a bit sloppy than before, much to his chagrin. Compared to his life as an assassin, becoming an ordinary teenager wouldn't need a systematic way of life. And that's why he had spent one hour searching for that particular map because he didn't practice his systematic way anymore. Well, it's not like he could help it. He still brought along his nodachi, Hanamatsuri, which was wrapped in a purple cloth. He just liked bringing that weapon anywhere like some sort of security blanket. As he approached the school gate, he saw an unfamiliar girl with strangely dyed bright green hair. He stopped for a while, looking at her for a few moments. He didn't remember seeing this particular girl before, and she seemed to be at lost. As a functional member of society, Kakeru had to do a thing that seemed necessary; helping her. "Yo," Kakeru said, trying to sound casual. "What are you doing here? Do you need help?" he asked, giving the girl a smile. |

Hoshiko turned, noting the Nodachi in the boy's hands. To anyone else, they may have been offended, maybe even scared. To Hoshiko it was a challenge. Provided she wasn't trying to blend in. The girl shook a little from seeing the sword. "Oh.. yes. I'm a new student... transferred in..." She tried to keep her eyes off his sword. "I don't know where my class is..." She handed the boy a piece of paper that was clear instructions to the class. 2-2 could be seen on the page. "Could you help?" The hand outside the blazer seemed to be resting by her chest, almost looking it was broken. "I.... don't usually go to school." The act was a little heavy but Hoshiko didn't want to draw attention to herself. |

"So, a new student, eh?" Kakeru nodded to himself. "Perhaps I can help you with that..." he rested his wrapped nodachi on his shoulder. "So your class is 2-2, so I think I know where it is..." Kakeru said. Perhaps it was left after his class, or was it right? Or was it on entirely different level? One way to find out, Kakeru thought. "By the way, my name is Kakeru Kagami, class 3-2," Kakeru introduced himself. "That means I'm your senior. What's your name, miss?" he asked politely. He's got a feeling that the new girl was looking at his sword, but he just shrugged the feeling off. Perhaps it's just a mere imagination. |

She gave a smile. "Thank you senpai." As she asked her name she froze for a second. "Toukai Meisai." The girl nodded to herself. "Pleased to meet you Kagami-senpai!" She kept her eyes away from his sword, but her uncovered arm was still tense. Nodding her head she held her hand out for the paper, hoping to return it to her pocket. "Shall we go senpai?" |

"Ah, let's go," Kakeru said after handing back the paper to the girl. "I'll make sure that you will arrive at your destination, Meisai-san," he was sure that it was her pseudonym, but he didn't really care. He turned back before he walked into the school building, expecting the girl to follow him. As expected, he didn't find anything that resembled class 2-2. Instead, he found a storage room, changing room for girls, gymnasium, janitor's room, laboratory and many rooms, but no class 2-2. After half an hour, he stopped walking and mused to himself. He was standing in front of an empty room. "Hmm... it supposes to be here. I wonder where is it..." he looked back, looking at the new girl. "Ah, don't worry, Meisai-san, I'm sure we'll find it soon," he said reassuringly despite not knowing which part of school they were currently at. |

'Meisai' followed Kakeru obediently. Surely he would know where she would have to go. Better that than admit she couldn't read. That was something she didn't plan to do. She followed him all over the school, though it became slowly apparent that he couldn't find her class either. She didn't want to say anything, so she slowly made a suggestion. "Kakeru-sempai...? Did you try the second floor?" She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know but in my old school 2-2 was on the second floor...." She smiled, her free hand still tense. |

"Ah, sounds like a good idea," Kakeru nodded upon hearing Meisai's suggestion. "Let's go to the second floor, shall we?" he began walking before he stopped. He was uncertain which way he should take. "W-well..." he looked back at Meisai apologetically. "Actually, I'm sorry," the boy apologized. "My lack of sense of direction seems to interfere with my effort to help you, Meisai-san. This is so embarrassing of me," he admitted. "And now, though I'd hate to admit it, I have to say that both of us are lost in the middle of Taiyoutono." |

Meisai felt humbled by his response. "You... see... I gave you that piece of paper because I too have a secret." She shuffled her feet slightly. "I can't read. I can guess, I can speak fluently, but I can't read." The teen looked away, as if that was something to be embarassed about. "Sorry. I made you look like an idiot because of my own problems.." Meisai turned on her heel and sighed, her arm tensing again. "Kakeru-senpai... don't tell anyone. Okay?" |

Kakeru nodded. "Let's call that even, then. I promise I won't tell others," he looked around for a while. "Heh, it seems that we still need to search for your class. We won't find it if we don't search, so let's go, Meisai-san," he said, smiling gently towards the girl. |
