"My father made me do it, I never told him I didn't want him planning my life, I just got all the credentials he wanted me to,and then I moved as far from him as possible." Alec's motives seem to be as misplaced as his attempts at "being cool". "And when I got here, this was the only job I could get." It becomes apperent that Alec didn't think things through when he moved to Japan, at all. "English, not like I could teach i anyroad." Edited by Cardrian, Apr 28 2012, 10:14 PM.

Takashi drew out his mouth in a hard line. This was just ridiculous. He sighed. "It's none of my business about how you want to lead your life, but I'm sorry. That's just stupid, if you're going to just sit there and just fucking take it. Not sure if you understand this, but people tend to half-ass their jobs when they don't think things over." The man stuffed a hand into his pocket. "Which is what it looks like you're doing here. Hell, you're skipping class. And you're the teacher. What I recommend you do is try finding something that you actually want to teach. A teacher's responsibility is to his students. Even if you don't want to do it, you still have to teach them. After all, you chose this route. You have to walk it all the way through." He pointed backwards with his thumb. "So what say you go back and restore order to your classroom for now, huh?" |

Unlike the other two teachers, Soichiro was not in any classes at the moment. Philosophy was two hours away, and lunch hour was over. He'd finished every bit of paperwork he had (which admittedly, wasn't much), and he'd tired of reading Herbert Spencer for the third time. So instead, he decided to see how the school looked like, and probably meet a few of his colleagues along the way. As he turned the corridor, he heard the sounds of students chatting coming from an open door. Two teachers were standing by the classroom in question. One was tall and powerfully built, with messy blue-black hair and stubble along his jaw; the other was a rather husky blond who looked as if he didn't care about the world. Now seemed like a time to introduce himself. "Pardon me if I seem to be interrupting your talk," Soichiro said, "but I am rather new to this school. I assume you are my colleagues?" |

This is the opening I needed, I'll just be going now. Alec turns to face Soichiro. "Yes, we work here, what was your first hint?" Sarcasm was appearent in the end of that sentence. "Sorry, I dont have the time to arse around much longer, I think I have a class to restore order to." Alec attempts to leave, heading back in the direction he came from. That could have gone better. "Go ahead, Webster. Try to stop speaking like a douchebag while you're at it, alright? No booze or cigarettes while you're at it. I'm counting on you," Takashi said with a faint scowl on his face. He was trying very hard not to grit his teeth. For fuck's sake. Cool people didn't speak like that. Being a prick in another language was never in vogue. He turned his attention and frustration away from the apathetic teacher and focused on the older of the two teachers. "New here, I suppose? Don't mind Webster. Apparently, he thinks it's cool to be flippant. I'm Kouno Takashi. You?" |

The blond man snapped at him as he turned to leave, but Soichiro wasn't listening. Compared to the taunts and jeers he'd heard in the fighting ring, this rank amateur was barely even annoying. The other one left, who looked older than the blond, seemed almost irked at his colleague's behavior. He couldn't blame him: Soichiro didn't have a high opinion of people fond of condescension either. "Masahiro Tatsumi," Soichiro said, when pressed for a name. "I'm the new teacher of Philosophy. Good to meet you, sir." And he held out one callused hand, an invitation for a handshake. |

[Not sure if Alec has left the topic?] "Nice to meet you, then, Masahiro," Takashi said, shaking the hand of the other man. He was gently enough, it seemed. It was good to know that the staff wasn't entirely comprised of those stupid young people. "And I'm Kouno Takashi by the Japanese naming order. Feel free to call me whatever you want. It isn't something that I'm particularly concerned about. I'll have to warn you though, the students here might put you through a lot of shit." |

"Good to make your acquaintance, Kouno-san," Masahiro said. The man seemed friendly enough, if a bit grumpy. At least it was a relief to know he wouldn't be stuck with small-minded twits for the rest of his tenure, if this Kouno man was any indication. A man who didn't suffer fools was alright in his book. "You needn't worry about me, Takashi," he said, with a flippant wave of his hand. "I can handle rowdy students just fine. I have experience in these things." |
