Standing out in the middle of the football (or Soccer, for some others) field, Harkens tapped his foot as he looked down at a notepad he'd brought along.
"Brooms, check.

Bats, check.

Medicine Ball, check.

Spud cannons, check.

Painted baseball attached to remote controlled plane, check."

So he was sure most of the required materials were needed. All except one thing.

The players.

He was sure he sent out memos for anyone wanting to try a fresh new variation on a supposed centuries-old sport. Hopefully someone would answer. Particularly someone willing to get a few welts for a good bit of fun. That or someone who really liked Harry Potter.

"Quidditch?" Karim frowned as he read the memo. He was wondering whether he read it wrong (considering that he wasn't a native Japanese himself) or Quidditch really does exist, he didn't know which. But this ting sure piqued his interest, so he decided to take a look at the field.

Well, perhaps curiosity was good once in a while.

Michi stared at the memo stuck on the wall. She wasn't sure who had decided that this was a good idea, but it certainly wasn't a Japanese student. No Japanese student in his or her right mind would find Quidditch appealing.

But Michi wasn't a Japanese student in her right mind. She was an American-born Okinawa raised quarter-Japanese student out of her mind. And she absolutely loved Harry Potter.

She walked out to the American Football field, and spotted someone looking over a notebook.

"Heyyyyy! Are you in charge of this?"

Looking at his first two test subj-players, Harkens nodded over at Michi.
"Well, you two are here early. If you want, you can call shotgun on what position you want and what team you want. We've got Team Snake Eater and Team Hercules (they're a work in progress). In the meanwhile we'll be waiting for the others."

Continuing with checking through his notepad, Harkens was relieved that he was able to build some sort of interest in this developing sport.

Only in Nagashima would this shit fly. That or Glasgow.

"Umm..." Karim said. "Forgive me for asking, but is this true?" he asked. "About this Quidditch stuff, I mean..." he said.

Michi squealed with delight.

"I wanna be a beater!"

She giggled at Karim's confusion.

Shrugging, Harkens waved his hand at Michi and told her,
"Sure, you're here first. You called it I guess. And lookie here..."

Looking to his left, Harkens saw a group of heavily built people in Football/Soccer uniforms, each carrying bikes and bats.
"Well, looks like the jobbers I called up actually answered. Well then, unless any of you want to wait a bit longer, I guess we can start."

"Huh?" confused, Karim gave Harkens a 'wut' look. If one had to wonder how it looked like, it looked like this:

Michi squealed, too zealous for someone her age to be getting over a position that allowed one to hit giant balls at others' heads.

"So what about everyone else's positions?" she asked

Waving his hand in a "Don't bother me" gesture, he tells her,
"At this point, you figure it out yourselves. Just remember that there's three Chasers, two Beaters, one Keeper and one Seeker. After the rest of you figure yourselves out then I'll explain the rules and mechanics."

Seeing Karim with a look of confusion upon his face, Harkens raises his eyebrow and asked,
"You're... Not familiar with the sport, right? Much less the cash-hog franchise that it's based off of?"
