Kawabata looked over the master roster for the students at Taiyoutono, scanning the list for the name 'Takuma,' eventually coming across the name Takuma Yuudai. She clicked on the name and looked at the attendance, mouth curling into an uncertain frown. "He hasn't been here lately, has he?"

The principal flipped open her phone and dialed a number. "Hello? Yes, I want to ask about whether or not there were any calls from parents about strange absences..."

--

As a first-year math teacher droned on through a test review, a confused office aid brought the girl a note and a hall pass from the principal, who apparently wanted to hold a meeting with her before walking away to carry out some other errand. The concise note that came along with it was written in a neat script.

"We need to talk. -- Murasaki Kawabata"

Haruka opened the door tentatively, entering the principal's office with a great degree out caution. She doubted Kawabata would try anything at the school, but then again, wasn't she dealing with an opponent who held endless resources? How easy would it be to eliminate one student who already knew too much? Haruka would have earlier divulged the information she had on Kawabata and Aleksandria earlier if she hadn't known what would happen if she did.

"Yes, actually," Kawabata said, smiling dryly as she watched Haruka step into the door, clearly quite cautious about the entire ordeal. She motioned towards a chair, beckoning the student to take a seat. "I don't mean you any harm by coming here. I just needed to discuss some matters with you. I'm sure you can guess which, so shall we start?"

"Well then," Haruka responded, taking her assigned seat. "Might as well get straight to the point. What do you want from me?"

Kawabata gently placed the phone back onto the receiver, trying to keep her hand from clenching up. She spoke to the empty room, voice calm, but with a quivering undertone of rage.

"I thought we had an agreement, Fyodor-san..."

She looked at other attendance records, eyes scanning for absences that had popped up since their alliance.

"No students involved..."

Michi Hargrave

"No innocents involved."

Hotaru Nishikawa

"Science exists for the benefit of the people."

Takuma Yuudai

"Not to be exploited."

Nikolai Orlov

"you lied to me"

abram loban

"to me"

karin

"don't you-"

suzaki

"-trust me?"

madoka

"aren't i your-"

genda (pending)

"-ally?"

She felt her breathing grow heavy as something began to stretch across her face.

--

She nodded and pulled out a thick manila folder, proffering it to Haruka. "Tell me what you know. About ou- the actions of... myself and Fyodor-san. If you would please."

Haruka eyed the folder with a degree of caution. Part of her did not want to know the contents. What sort of recorded information was in there? She was certain all sorts of terrible things had been happening to students.

"You've been doing research, and in order to do that you've been kidnapping students and persona users to run your tests." She stated, attempting to sound bi-partisan in her analysis.

"Fair enough. How nice of you to be so kind about saying it," Kawabata said, smiling bitterly at Haruka's assessment. The manila folder fell onto the table once she released it. Afterwards, the principal slid the folder in her student's direction. "Perhaps you have already guessed, but our experiments were quite extensive. Prisoners were also used in the experiments as well. You could say that we exemplify the stereotypical evil organization, no?"

"Yes, I guess you do appear to be something akin to an evil organization. Kidnapping your students isn't exactly the kindest thing to do." Haruka said, more curt this time.

She flipped through the folder. What on earth was she looking at? Records of students...just what exactly had Kawabata and Aleksandria been doing?

"Why are you showing me this?"

"I found out all of this a while earlier. I thought that it would be some interesting information to share," Kawabata said, keeping the same bitter smile on her face as she made the sarcastic comment. "Fyodor-san has been doing quite a bit lately. I was surprised to hear. When we originally made our alliance, I specifically requested for her to not experiment on innocents."

Something cool pulsed in her soul. She suppressed the urge to shudder and spoke. "...She betrayed my trust. ...She's overstepped her bounds..."

"And what do you want me to do about it?" Haruka responded, setting the files back down on the table.
"What you were doing was never right Kawabata-sensei. Even when you were exploiting prisoners. No one deserves what you've done."

She paused for a moment. "That being said, I would like to partake in any effort you establish to take her down."
