"S-sorry, senpai..." said Isoroku apologetically. "For dragging you here today. Today's book are cheap and many new books are on sale, and I want to buy a bunch of them, so I'm sorry if I'm bothering you in your weekend," she said, looking at the tall teenager beside her. The teenager, Kakeru just smiled, holding two shopping bags containing books that Isoroku bought while walking alongside the bespectacled girl. "It is alright, Mayoi-san. I'll be glad to help," he said, nodding. "But, you seem to be buying lots of them," he commented, looking at the bags he was holding. "And there are more of them than usual." Isoroku blushed. "T-that's..." she averted her eyes in embarrassment. Despite that, she felt so good while being alongside the boy. "S-senpai, I just like to read, that's all." Kakeru chuckled. "Yes, you already told me that before." "G-geez, stop teasing me, senpai," Isoroku pouted. Kakeru just smiled. While he didn't tease her for enjoyment, he figured out that teasing her was a part of his interaction with her. So far, it seemed real. "Yes, I'll stop now, Mayoi-san. Actually, I love to read as well." It was partly true, after all. "Really?" Isoroku's expression brightened. "Yes," Kakeru nodded. "Perhaps you can recommend me some books for me to read, Mayoi-san," he said, smiling. Isoroku blushed. "Y-yes," Isoroku nodded. Then, while walking, both of them were talking about books that Kakeru could read. Isoroku really enjoyed every second of it. Well, that wouldn't last long. |

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
|
Treo had spotted the pair a while ago and had been sitting on a bench ever since then. He noticed how distracted Kakeru was with Isoroku around, one might even say the boy was showing an emotion. He walked over to the two, raising from his bench and gave a smile. "Oh. Hi Kakeru-san, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything." His eyes quickly scanned over Isoroku, there she was. The person Kakeru was protecting and his strongest chance of changing. The White King had revealed itself. He kept a mental note and smiled to the girl. "I'm Treo Ashdown, Kakeru and I did some training a while back, as well as... other things." He gave a grin before finishing, offering his hand. |

Kakeru immediately changed his expression as Treo entered his view. He still didn't quite trust the guy and he shouldn't lower his guard in front of him. "No, you aren't interrupting anything, Treo-san," Kakeru answered as polite as he could get. But from his voice, anybody could tell his tone wasn't welcoming. "Say, why would you be here, anyway? Shouldn't you be at somewhere else?" he asked. Isoroku looked at the newcomer. She backed away on reflex as she saw him. Somehow, the guy seemed to have the same mysterious aura as Kakeru, but despite the similarity, she still could feel the glaring difference. So his name is Treo Ashdown, Isoroku thought. "Umm... I'm Isoroku Mayoi, nice to meet you, Ashdown-senpai," she said. She knew that Treo was one of the seniors of the school because she did hear about him sometimes ago, and she of course, remembered it due to her perfect memory. |

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO

Treo gave a sigh when he asked if he should be somewhere else. That was genuine code for go the hell away. He met his tone with a friendly one. "I actually don't have anywhere else to be right now, call it a time sink." He met his eyes and smiled. Seeing her back away made him rub his head a little. "Sorry. I sometimes get a little carried away with my greetings. Its a foreign thing." The boy slowly lowered his head and smiled. "Its nice to meet you too Mayoi-san." He raised his head again and grinned. "I think I saw you around school, I was ill for a while, so I haven't gone back yet." The truth was he never planned to go back to school, it was a meaningless distraction. |

Giving Treo a polite smile, Kakeru nodded. "Very well, if you say so," Kakeru said. "But it is odd, isn't it? Today is weekend, so you should've planned something in advance, right?" Kakeru said in friendly, polite tone to match Treo's. "Unless you have something in your mind, that is," he said, still having suspicion towards the hatted guy. He looked at Isoroku, giving her a 'stick closer with me' look. "I see..." Isoroku mused. So, Treo was ill before. She did hear about that Hoculus outbreak, and Treo might be one of the victims. "Hope you're fine, Ashdown-senpai," she said. While seeing both Kakeru and Treo talking to each other in similar tone, Isoroku felt a bit uneasy. It was unsettling to see both men speaking in that way, retaining their tone and expression regardless of what they're talking about. "Kagami-senpai sure has some peculiar acquaintances..." Treo gave a grin. "You'd think so, but this weekend I find my plans unfavorably empty." As he continued he shook his head. "Nope, nothing on my mind, other than the usual stuff." The usual stuff was said with a tone that suggested something that the usual stuff was not. He didn't notice the look to Isoroku but he assumed Kakeru was attempting to stand between them. The knight performing his duties. "Yeah I'm fine, I mean my eyeballs didn't explode out of my face, so I'm really pleased that didn't happen. Awful messy, plus I kinda like being able to see." He stood his ground, eyes meeting with Kakeru. "So what were you up to?" Noticing the bag of books he smiled. "Never pegged you as much of a reader, well. At least not to this extent." |

Isoroku shuddered when Treo mentioned about eyeballs exploding. "T-that's scary," she mumbled. "But I'm glad that you're safe, Ashdown-senpai," she nodded. When Treo asked him that question, Kakeru looked down at the bags in his hands. "Oh, you mean these? No, I'm not the one who bought these," he shook his head. "Actually, they're Mayoi-san's books. I'm just helping her out." Kakeru already knew that Treo had started playing his mental game with him, and with Isoroku by his side, it would be difficult to be in advantage. He had no other choice than playing along. |

He smiled to Isoroku. "I appreciate that. I don't exactly have the most friends at the moment." He sighed and rubbed his head, when Kakeru began to speak. "Ah, so she's quite the avid reader then? Interesting, never pegged that type for you Kakeru." He grinned back at the pair, waiting a second then looking shocked. "Oh! I never meant that as you know, just a joke!" He smiled uneasily while scratching the back of his neck. "Jeez, I'm so bad at talking to people these days." His eyes kept level with Kakeru, even while his expression was rapidly changing. |

"It doesn't matter, Treo-san," Kakeru said, smiling while noticing the change of Treo's expression. "But it's quite relieving to hear that from you." He kept his eyes trained at the hatted guy, his expression not changing. "Is something bothering you?" he asked. Isoroku just stood beside Kakeru, having no idea what was happening. |

Treo looked at Kakeru and held the question in his mind, was something bothering him? Not particularly. Lots of small things, but nothing grand. "Ah, you know. Getting used to not being ill. I spent a lot of time in solitary confinement, wait no, they called it quarantine. Sure felt like jail though." The boy gave a scratch of his head again. Isoroku had gone quiet, which meant he must have overdone it. Well, at least she didn't run, that may have been problematic. "What about you Kakeru-san? Is anything bothering you? Don't hestitate to say anything, I don't mind." |
