Sitting in a mall alone and with nothing to do or buy was a great way to pass the time in the same way that punching yourself in the face was a great way to become more intelligent: if you did it enough times, you'd learn that it was pretty much the worst thing ever.

This being Geoff's fifth excursion out here, he was learning this lesson in the hardest way possible. While he longed for the excitement of the Ruins, he just couldn't muster up the will to go there by himself. He wanted someone to go with him now, not only for the company, but also the added protection. Recently, he had been practicing his new abilities around the city, messing with people's minds in small ways, and he came to the conclusion that his spells would be shit in combat. Who was to say that shadows would even be affected by these mind-altering techniques? They seemed mindless and thusly impossible to influence.

On top of his own abilities not being suited for combat, there was the added danger of certain people skulking about in the Ruins. Certain people he would rather avoid, like this 'Kaji' fellow. Undoubtedly, should two ever meet, Kaji would have found some reason to plant a fist in Geoff's head.

In order to avoid all the nasty death and mauling that would come from going to the Ruins, Geoff had instead been coming here for a few days now, just trying to pass the time. He had a thought to spend time with Haruka, but for some odd reason the two of them just never found any chances to do so. Sure there was that one time at the bookstore, but it...

Blinking, Geoff realized he didn't even remember what had occurred there. Did they leave? Did they go eat? What did they do?

He shrugged it off and looked around, sending out little spells here and there with shadows crawling on the floor, almost completely unnoticeable to anyone not actually looking for anything strange. Geoff was starting to like his new Persona with its quietness and its amazingly helpful nature.

Despite the practice, he was still hopelessly bored. He hoped that someone or something would come along soon to make him less dreadfully bored out of his mind.

Isoroku was humming happily while holding a shopping bag, which contained a few books she was looking forward to read. She had saved her allowance to buy those books. This time, she bought a tankobon of manga and an encyclopedia about Japanese mythology. After obtaining Kushinada-hime as her Persona, she was curious about all kinds of mythologies. She also heard that some Personae were based on mythologies throughout the world.

Then Isoroku saw Geoff, sitting alone. She didn't know him, but she kind of remembered his face due to her photographic memory. Just looking at Geoff while walking was enough to make the girl tripped on her feet, falling flat on the floor. Her face was the first thing that hit the floor. "Phuah!" she yelped as her glasses fell from her face.

Picking her glasses, she noticed that her glasses were broken, again. "Oww..." she rubbed her nose. It had been third time she broke her glasses. "Not again..." she whimpered miserably.

Salvation.

Geoff stared in awe as the subject of his attention fell flat to the ground, breaking her glasses. She came at just the right time. Right as Geoff could feel his body shutting down from all the boring boredom that bored him, this unassuming girl fell and broke her glasses. It was as if the stars had aligned and tripped this poor girl just so that Geoff could live to see another day.

As he made his way over to her, he took note of the shopping bag, recognizing it as coming from the same bookstore that he had gone to a few weeks ago. He knelt down beside Isorocku and extended his hand out to her. "Need some help?" he asked while he sent a Marin Karin (amplified by Uneasy Air, which the bookworm had come to love) through his shadow and into the girl. His shadow shifted slightly and seemed just slightly too long for his height. "I can lead you to an ophthalmologist's office. I'm sure they have something like that around here somewhere." He put on his best smile and his kindest eyes to help the Marin Karin along, should it succeed.

Then Geoff came to her, seemingly trying to give her a hand. Isoroku yelped as the boy knelt down beside her as he asked her whether she's alright or not. Somehow, the girl felt something different. Her Persona began to let out unintelligible noise inside her head as her rate of heartbeat skyrocketed. She began to pant heavily as she looked into Geoff's eyes. His seemingly kind eyes and charming smile didn't help either.

"whatisthisidontevenknowwhatthehellisthiswhathappenedtome"

Isoroku was confused. She didn't know what to think anymore as Kushinada-hime's voice turned into something gibberish. She felt hot, which was even stranger, considering their surroundings. She felt like she wasn't in control to her body as she lifted her trembling hand, taking Geoff's extended hand.

"isorokuwhatareyoudoingthisismadnessthisisoutrageousyourecharmedsnapoutofit"

"Please..." she said. She was surprised on how different her voice sounded. It sounded alluring, so uncharacteristically seductive and sexy. "Please take mee~"

JESUSROLLERBLADINGCHRISTWHAT?! Geoff's smile vanished as the situation took a turn for the worse. He had been expecting the blushing and the averted eyes and the sheepishness of anyone who had been charmed.

But if there had been one thing he had not been anticipating, it was this. Now, with a girl wanting to bed him right then and there, surrounded by people, Geoff swore to himself to not be so damn good at Marin Karin. He pledged to only use this ability in the most dire of situations.

Of course, he still had to deal with the enthralled girl.

"Uhm... I'm sorry... We just met," he said as he aided the girl to her feet. "We don't even know each other. My name is Geoffry." He grinned and tried to seem friendly, but the sheer power he had just exerted upon her had really startled him. It was almost enough to kill his entire mood, but not quite. He wasn't about to just walk away when he had discovered he could make people go far outside their natural mental boundaries.

"Shall we go get those fixed?" he asked, clearing his throat and pointing at the glasses.

"Ohoho, there's no need to fix this little contraption for this moment, Geoffry-kuuun~" Isoroku purred, tracing her slender finger on Geoff's lips. "I can see better without them," she winked before she licked her lips in flirtatious manner. "And I can only see your face. How cute~" she cooed.

"ohgodwhatwashappeningthisisadreamnoanightmare"

Ignoring the noise inside her head, Isoroku drew her face closer to Geoff's. She let herself breathing heavily so the boy could feel the heat of her love towards him. "Now... why don't we get to know each other first?" she asked, seductive as hell.

"I don't think you understand me," Geoff said, pushing Isorocku's hand away from himself. A Bewilder spell crept from his shadow and into Isorucku. He hoped it would throw her off this... mindset. "I'm just trying to be friendly here. I don't want to get to know you like that. So I would advise you calm the hell down."

He turned away, grimacing to no one in particular. His shadow shifted a little, falling on the girl's feet. It danced lightly and subtly upon her legs for a second, wanting to do more, but not empowered to do so.

"And besides," Geoff added, still not looking at her, "you aren't my type..." It wasn't technically true, seeing as he liked the cute nerdy look. It was the whole seductive thing this girl was trying to pull that he wasn't liking. It made his skin crawl.

Isoroku gasped as Geoff said that she wasn't his type. Dramatically, she pulled out a handkerchief, biting it as she slumped on the floor, acting melodramatic as ever. "Y-you d-don't like me?" she asked while tears welling in her eyes. Her body began to tremble. "A-after stealing my heart just like that, y-you refuse to take responsibility for what you had done..." she sobbed. Bewilder spell made the thing worse. "W-why don't you like me?" she gave the boy her best puppy eyes.

As Charles walked out of his usual clothing shop, he stepped out to see Isoroku crying to a small boy.

"Geoff. What did you do." said Charles, stomping over. "Are you trying to pull one over on her, or something?"

"B-but I don't even have muscles to show off with - W-wait, where are you going?"

Ryuunosuke followed Charles out of the clothing store. The two had gone there to make sure Ryuunosuke quit dressing like a doofus, but apparently they were going outside now. Charles had gone up to two people Ryuunosuke didn't quite recognize... oh. He did recognize Isoroku and she was... crying? He kneeled down next to her. "Mayoi-san? Wh-what's wrong?"

He stood up, looking at Geoff. "Um... Did you do something mean to her or something?"
