So long as you understand that I might not turn anything up, I'm willing to do it. I'm more of a manufacturer than an appraiser, but I'll see what I can do for you.

Krishna, how much is a sword going to cost? I have this blade-like forelimb I got from a Shadow just the other day, and I was wondering if it was possible to have it reforged into a weapon.

I can't really give you a cost estimate unless I know the dimensions of the blade. If you want to come by the metal works at some point, we can talk over what you're looking for and discuss a price.

Hi!~ I just wanted to ask for a really really special weapon! Its gotta be strong like a spear, but also flexible like a whip. I would also like it to resemble a snake in design, gotta keep to my main theme after all. I drew a sketch of how it much work, but its a bit messy~

Okay, so...I'm not quite sure how to do this. I'm going to consult with a few people for ideas, and then get back in contact with you. It's a really interesting problem, so I want to work on it, but the materials might get kind of expensive, so I don't even know how to assess the cost.
Like I said, let me talk to a few people, and I'll get in contact with you.

Okay, so I think I've got an idea of how this is going to work, but it's going to take me a while to get it done properly and gather the materials, but I found a mixture that I can alloy together with the right equipment. And most is gathered from the ruins, anyway, so there's a bonus, there.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to buy some of that equipment.
This is going to be expensive, totaling everything up, it looks like the cost might reach as much as 20,000 yen, which is really damned expensive. I'm not going to pass the whole cost off to you, though, because the equipment is useful, and everything, and will continue to be useful afterward.
But, still, the cost is exorbitant. I'm willing to do it, but the cost is too great to directly pass off to anyone.
So, I was thinking, it's been a while since I picked up a new skill, and I always like learning new things. I remember at the party after the Hoculus situation was resolved, you showed up on a motorcycle. Would you be willing to teach me how to ride, and we can call it square after I learn?

Hrmm... I am rather good with a motorcycle, my father taught me a long time ago, its one of my skills I like to keep polished, I treasure it as much as any physical object.
20,000 yen is a lot of money... I can give you the lessons and if you need a partner to gather any of the materials, just call me, I'm never doing anything that important, so I'm sure I can squeeze you in~
I'm glad you would be able to make a comprimise, so I agree. I'll teach you everything I know about motorcycle riding. You'll be able to ride with the best when I'm done.
Number is XXX-XXX-XXX-XX

Hey, Krishna, I just got an idea for an attachment to my main weapon (a large caterpillar tooth). I'll send you a design I sketched out through PM. Could you look at it and see if you think you can do this for me? Thanks!

Here's the rough draft. It's a bit messy and probably won't work, but see if you can't salvage something from it, please?
ATTACHED: slidenagamaki.pdf [Attached is three pages of a very neatly drawn, theoretically working expendable dagger, or, as Eiji calls it, a 'Slide Nagamaki.' It seems to be a rectangular metal handle about a foot long that attaches to the bottom of the caterpillar tooth. On the back of the handle is an inlaid concave button that, when pressed, releases a spring which extends polls hidden in the handle one foot in either direction, essentially making the handle three feet in length. It latches in place when extended, so the only way to bring it back to normal length is to press the button again and push the aft end back into the handle proper. There is also a sturdy latch on the end of the caterpillar tooth so that the handle can be detached for whatever reason. tl;dr, lots of small moving pieces with a couple larger metal bits.
The entire sheet is annotated with precise measurements and correct terminology.]

This is...this is actually pretty damn doable. I mean, I'm already buying some machining tools for another project, so I think I can do it. Something like this might normally run for 9,000 yen, considering all the small bits. But I'll cut you a deal, and knock it down to 4,500 if you'll look over a design I've been commissioned to do. Deal?

Not sure why you would want me to look over your design, but.. Sure, I'll do it! I don't think I'll be able to provide any blinding insights, but 50% discount? I'm in!
