Is the diamond itself an actual integral part of the enchantment? If so? I can readily provide it, but it's a bit ostentatious for the person I intend to give it to. Would a simple silver plated or alloyed band be doable?

65k?! Wow, that's a lot!!
Well, I guess I need to use my savings for this. I'm looking forward for the final product.

I don't particularly care what as long as it's something an untrained street-brawler can use without much learning curve. He's not going to use it on humans, after all, so I'm not looking to make him a samurai master or a ninja warlord or something. If he can use it easily on rabid monsters in the ruins, it's perfect.
And alright, but just give me a number. I have a job that lets me get money on the quick, but I need to know what goal to shoot for so I know how hard to work at it. I decide my own hours, see?

First, I half think this topic should be pinned considering the number of people who seem to need to gear up.
Anyway, I think I'll be using a glaive so I wanted to request something like an American Bowie knife without the hilt. I already have a wooden staff I can use for the haft. And I just thought of it now but maybe a pair of steal bracers for defense

Hi! I'm real glad that I found this topic. And I do agree with TheFisherman that the topic should be pinned.
Anyways, I'd appreciate if you'd make a pair of Jian swords for me and if you'd make them about 25 inches long that would be just great.
See ya!

I just thought of a feature to add to my "knife" - a curved hook off the back edge. It would be useful for maintaining control over an enemy.
Just a thought.

Post by: SatyaHarbingerDate: XX-XX-XXXX at 16:12 @Fisherman: By back, do you mean back of the blade? That might interfere with stabbing. If you mean on the pommel, then that can be an issue in close quarters, as it might mean you're hooking yourself. Did you maybe mean something like an European sword-breaker? Clarify, and I'll get a price quote to you. @Setsuna: A pair of jian? As in something like the Green Destiny Sword? That's a bit vanilla. I can do that easy, though it's a little boring. If you want to go with that, I can do it for 6k each. --- I'm just glad people have stopped asking for Japanese-style swords. They are complicated and breakable.

Post By: ThisMachineKillsShadowsDate: XXXX-XX-XX at 16:17 I think what Fisherman wants is essentially a variant of a galive-guisarme by the time you're done?

Machine's link is what I had in mind. I did say it was the blade for a glaive initially. Though now that you mention the trouble with stabbing, it might be best to ignore the barb outright. I'd still need a stop to keep solid shadows from falling down the haft.
So, yeah, now that I've thought on it some more, the basic idea was really just a naginata with a western blade. Which now strikes me as quite appropriate.
