Regular Forum Taiyoutono High School
A high-end public high school located in uptown Nagashima, popular among upper-class families and snooty smart kids. The school enjoys the benefit of having several wealthy sponsors and the support of the school board, so it's kept well-maintained and well-staffed, and there's no danger of the art programs ever being cut. It's like the public school you wish you could have gone to!

Regular Forum Reitaku High School
Situated in the no-man's land between "respectable" residential neighborhoods and the rougher side of town, Reitaku High School is a simple rectangular building comprised of three floors stacked on top of each other and surrounded by a basic concrete wall which is sometimes marred by graffiti, sometimes clean, and sometimes in the process of being cleaned after being marred by graffiti. The building itself is off-white and dull in color, and there is very rarely any real attempt to inject personality into its appearance. The most distinctive of this school's physical features is the clocktower in the front of the building, which has been stopped dead at four-forty-six-and-a-half for three straight years, and which bears the school's emblem beneath the hour and minute hands: a triangle positioned point-down, with a four-point star drawn on the inside.

Regular Forum Rokujima University
Though it is nowhere near as well known and prestigious as some of Japan's other universities, Rokujima University is still a popular choice for students around Japan to attend. The school is well known for the strength of its science and engineering programs, with many of its graduates going on to get jobs with JAXA, Japan's space program. Due to this, the school is often affectionately referred to as "Rokketto", particularly among Nagashima natives.

Regular Forum Uptown Nagashima
The main population center of Nagashima, and commonly associated with the middle-class. Most of Nagashima's apartment complexes, cram schools, and housing can be found here. Several restaurants and boutiques line the riverside, though swimming isn't recommended. Taiyoutono High School is located in this area as well, and the red jackets and vests of its students are a common sight during the week.

Regular Forum Ruwashi Park
Located between uptown and downtown Nagashima, Ruwashi Park is a bastion of greenery and peace in the concrete jungle of Nagashima. The large park is a common leisure spot for city residents, both because of its green spots, and because of the facilities within. Though the park was the site of a certain tragic incident some months ago, it lacks any scars that may have come from it, with the only reminder being the memorial in the center of the park.

Regular Forum Downtown Nagashima
The center of commerce and big business of Nagashima. The city's largest organizations are centered around an intersection known as "the Quad", where Matechi and Yamaoka streets intersect. A night out in Downtown Nagashima is often full of spice and enjoyment.

Regular Forum West Nagashima
Historically, Nagashima was founded towards the west, and expanded further eastward and southward as time marched on. As such, West Nagashima forms a secondary economic center in Nagashima, with a more consumerist flavor than the Downtown's commerce and big business. Tanjiro Shopping Center is one of the largest outlets in the area, and a multitude of boutiques and restaurants vie for attention near Tanjiro. There is a lot of history to be found in West Nagashima. The biggest shrines, the traditional-style homes, and carefully maintained roads can be found in West Nagashima. It gets hilly, so there are some wonderful views of Nagashima from the west side.

Regular Forum Inner City Nagashima
Stretching into Nagashima's eastern, outer edges, this portion of Nagashima experienced rapid growth during the Bubble Era, and housing flourished in what is now the Inner City. However, when the bubble popped, portions of the area began to ail. Despite its reputation, some of Nagashima's most niche stores and boutiques are found in the Inner City, along with the various warehouses and industrial complexes of Nagashima. There is high demand and access to manual labor jobs in this area of Nagashima, and it's slowly beginning to look better.

Regular Forum Nagashima Back Streets
Located to the east of the inner city, this area reels from the economic crash far harder than the rest of the city, and mismanagement led to its current state: at its ugliest parts, dilapidated, at its best, dreary and substandard. The wounds of the back streets are deep, and it will take much more than a fresh coat of paint and re-paved roads to bring it out of its rut. Talk about improving the back streets—and the rest of the Inner City, by extension—is eternally in the air, but evidently, dispatching mass help to this hotbed of squalor is incredibly difficult.
